I'd imagine that the med-bay and the airlock are clean rooms.

Only if she keeps it from getting messy.

Also known as shepard's quarters. The normandy rebuild crew put state of the art filters in there because shep reminded them what he did to the collectors. And the heretic geth. And saren. And what he WILL do to TIM. And they would very much like to see him happy.

I have a feeling we'll get some commentary from the Quarian viewpoint from at least one of them...

Given how she can't brush her teeth, she must have halitosis powerful enough to knock out an elephant.

Of course, Shepard being Shepard, he's completely unfazed.

Clarification? I'm experiencing a retrieval failure.

*spoiler* *snip* *spoiler*

I say *might* happen, not *will* happen. I think the events there will depend heavily on choices made in ME1 and ME2. Given what the script entails (from what I could understand) I do believe there is way to keep certain...painful choices from happening, especially if you've been playing the Paragon route. BioWare rarely, if ever, screws you over so completely.

Considering the resident synthetic is just about the only thing he/she WON'T bring to bed, I'd have to agree. 25 year vintage morning breath is nothing.

Hanar LI for ME3.

I can see Raan actually supporting a close 'friendship' with Shepard but, as a member of a race that can be said to be hanging on by a thread, she might not be too open to a more serious relationship.  At least, not at first.  She also cares deeply for Tali and knowing how Tali feels towards Shepard might be enough for her to accept the situation sooner than later.
In the end, I believe Raan will fully support them.

Meanwhile on the Alarei, Rael's body begins to convulse uncontrollably and rolls back and forth across the floor.

At this point Rael's been burried (or the Quarian equivilant for the Migrant Fleet) So, *possibly,* rolling over in his respective grave. However, I don't think so. Yes, Tali tells Shepard that Rael wouldn't have liked him all that much (what father ever really likes the guy giving it to his daughter on even a semi regular basis) but he would have respected Shepard. Between saving the Galaxy from the Reapers and Helping the Quarians as much as Shepard might in ME3 I think he would have begrudingly accepted Tali's Life Mate choice as being, "Okay, I guess."

Had he lived I'm sure, at thier wedding, Rael would whisper something to Shepard like, "If you ever hurt her I'll cut your man parts off," (i.e. very similar to the threat in his email to Shepard after Tali joins the SR2) but he still would have given Tali away.

As to Raan, I think she would be happy as long as Tali added to the Quarian legacy, either adopting a child or, more likely, accepting artifical insemination to give birth to a Quarian Child, thereby keeping her genetic legacy among the Quarian people.

Tali even mentions her father's supposed disapproval of her relationship with Shepard in ME3 at one point.

Well, if you read between the lines, Rael already had a feeling that Tali felt more for Shepard than as a Captain.
I do think he would have grudgingly accepted Tali's choice but in a rather vocal way.  :)

Well as usual, my commentary was mostly facetious.

Rael's correspondance through "e-mail" in ME2 and his daughter's descriptions of him always struck me as the  overprotective father type. That message Shepard gets was written from the perspective that he was her commanding officer and essentially in charge of Tali. Being a potential love interest stikes me as something that could either illicit slight annoyance or all out rage (maybe just temporarily) from Rael. I leaned toward the latter interpretation, the disapproving inlaw. The kind where the knock at the door signifies that the next few hours consist of an uneasy dinner punctuated only by the clanking of silverware and futile attempts to engage in positive conversation.

Another vibe I forgot to mention fully. Getting the impression from that letter that he *might* know something already but showing a bit of restraint.

I think I would've liked the original concept where it was Rael's trial a little better.

Mostly because we'd have a chance to interact with him and not just act based on his messages he left before his death.

I heard about that before somewhere. It's an interesting concept, and would have been nice to see. However, I don't know if it would have had the same emotional impact as the final version. Unless, you know, he ended up dying anyway.

I had never heard that scenario.  Like Unschuld, I don't think the impact would have been anywhere near as strong emotionally.  It is a shame Tali lost her father though.  Even though she's just pixels, it's still sad.

I can see why they'd make it Tali's trial, since it had been weird if Rael hadn't been able to defend his own actions, but I think either way would have worked.

With that *threatningbetweenthelines* email he sends you when you are with tali, yeah I don't think he entirely approves. No matter how great shep is, bottom line is he is not a quarian and their race needs every breeding pair they can get, especially since if they do get their homeworld back they can go crazy with breeding and not worry so much about space and resources.

Of course as I pointed out before just because Tali and Shep are together does not mean tali cannot have a quarian child.

Also do quarians even have marriage? There is no indication either way that they do, only that the mother and father keep close ties to their child.

Yeah, BW failed to provide information on a number of common social activities. We can only guess about it.
Then again, fully fleshing out an alien society is not what ME was about. But it would have been nice if they had!
