No it isn't.

Amoebas exhibit self preservation. Do they have emotions too?

Idk about others, but I've been slowly distancing myself from the character in case we're disappointed in ME3.

I don't think BW is stupid enough to let Tali's character down. She is the best character for most fans(me included)

Bioware could never ruin Tali for me. If they took her in a really bad direction I'd just pretend that never happened. Same way I cope with EA ruining classic franchises I once loved.

As i already said, by emotional pain I meant the need to survive.  The Quarians definately didnt install that into them.

Really now. Do you think Bioware will take their lovechild character from their lovechild game and ruin her? Tut tut tut.

(Yes, you could argue that Liara fills that role, but I've noticed that whenever the bigwigs post on BSN and it concerns Tali, it usually has positive undertones)

I have no worries. I really doubt BW could ruin one of their most loved characters. Even if she's only a temp squad mate i'm confident they'll do a good job. there is all out galactic war going on, i'd expect her to be looking out for the her own people the most.

Why is this Tali thread going so slow? The ME2 one was doing 85mph. New Miranda thread is doing 100! xD

There isn't much to talk about. As more details of ME3 leak out, I am sure there will be more relevant discussion at hand.

However... if there is a ME4 or a new trilogy, do you guys think that any of the old characters (like Tali) might be present?

No, I don't think Tali would be there. I think that if there is a ME4 it would after Shep had died, so that there would be no way for him to be part of the future games.

And that means also that Tali won't be there, because she would have too pass away after spending decades with Shepard.

Now Grunt, Legion, Liara and even Samara are more likely characters to appear in possible ME4

Well now, didn't we think Halo3 ended Master Chief's story. Guess what, they are making a new trilogy. One can never be sure. ME4 might be about the people who built the reapers.

I'v requested to join if you'll let me in! Havn't really posted in the Tali threads much, but i wasnt much of a poster before.

Same here.

Now I guess all we can do is waiting for their decision. :)

There will be an 'me4' however it is very unlikely Tali will be in it, and rightfully so. That said, me3 will likely be my last purchase. All good things...

Membership is granted.

And ME3 is the end of Shepard's story and the end of the trilogy. Tali could have died in ME2 and very possibly ME3. I don't think we'll see her again in anything besides small cameos like Zevran/Nathaniel etc were in DA2 if they were alive.

Yeah, I guess it would quite suicidal on BW part to Tali's character down. After all Tali (and Garrus) are the most popular character in Me games.

If they make a ME4 it will probably be entirely new characters. I doubt there will be any cameos from current characters either because it would be set in a different time.

By the way, I watched the scene on the SM (by mistake) where Tali gets shot up, slumps, says goodbye, and dies. I'm still sad, and that was... 14 hours ago.

Don't do it.

Yes, that's something horrible. I have made that mistakes too. And it was not fun at all.

I don't think that I can really watch any possible scenes where Tali could die in ME3. That would just be too horrible.

Eh, her death scene there was pretty underwhelming.

There's also the instant death at the door one, the Engine room explosion, the i-beam falling...

My god, Bioware, I hope you enjoyed making so many gruesome death scenes. Luckily (Well, kind of), I've only seen the quick door-death, the multiple wounds one that I mentioned (Saddest, because of the dialogue, to me...), and screens of the explosion...

Gotta love not wanting to play through ME again yet because there's nothing I really want to do differently...!

Maybe BW CG staff had a secret grudge on everybody when they made those in ship death scene.

Hmm. Better Topics are Better.

Anyone else notice the sort of golden flakes falling around Shepard & Tali in the hug scene? Loved that.

That stuff seems to be present in the air on the Rayya too. I guess their filtration systems are REALLY bad.

Well, either that, or they're flakes of rust. Either way, it's a good thing everyone kept sealed up.

Very nice visual quality though, reminiscent of rose petals (and without the inherent bit of lameness that goes along with "rose petals").

By bringing up rose petals you've already made it disgustingly sappy. Now I'm even more glad I never hug her anymore.

Oof. Grounch n' Grump is right.

I'll remain the annoyingly lighthearted one who wishes there was a "Hug Tali" prompt that could be used indefinitely.

Manly Men have sappy hug scenes with their female counterpart.
