Bwuh? I haven't read the leaked script, so if that's an actual spoiler, please mark it as such- that's a reasonably significant plot point.

That was a spoiler? ****, I thought it was an "what if" situation. I hate you S.A.K. :pinched:

Since someone applied necromancy to a thread, I copied this. I think that Dean makes a very good point about something that I felt was pure fanservice (I liked it though, yup I'm some kind of hypocrite).

"If Mordin were less humerous but more disapproving of the relationship (needless risk: toying with her life: nothing gained despite safer alternatives), that would serve as a foil to the 'I want this' eagerness of Tali's."

I think it would have added some "realism" to the romance.

True, the combined reaction of the danger, and Tali's excitement couteract each other. So the player kind of forgets that progressing into a relationship with Tali is actually quite a risky thing to do. If the dangers were highlighted more, then I imagine that a lot less people would romance her. Just because even if Shepard does like Tali, it isn't fair to her, and it risks the mission.

She was eager true, but also very cautious in her taking the time to first research and then bolster her immune system.  She is not stupid, no matter how her emotions were running.  There was no rush after all.  Shepard was very clear when he stated he 'was willing to wait'.  Had Mordin been more dour in the conversation, then it still would not change the response my Shepard gave her.  The first time that conversation came up, I thought long and hard on what my Shepards response would be.  The 'wait' option was the best choice.  My reasoning is simple.  Had this path resulted in Tali actually dying, then BW would have fooled me once and after a quick reload, never again.   Also, had Mordin been more concerned, I'm actually sure BW would have provided an EpiPen.  And had they done that, then I would have reconsidered.

But BW does not troll their players like that.  It would have been a blantant WTF moment.  BW still trolled their fanbase but only in Tali's face.  The fact that she had nothing more than a basic head cold kinda proves my thoughts about the quarian immune system.

But the fact she could get sick for the mission is not mentioned, at least by her. If I remember

Actually, Tali does mention how she could  jeopardize the mission.

"And if you weren't jeopardizing anything?" Got it! Thanks, I couldn't remember.

Hey now, in my defense with Tali, Kelly mentions that Shepard should not pursue Jack as a LI either.  :)

Seriously though.  I mentioned above.  Tali is an intelligent.  She is also self conscious and very concerned with her own race.  I very much doubt that she would have gone through with it had she really believed it would seriously harm her.  All her conversations up to that point were designed to deflect Shepards feelings towards her.  She was afraid but not of dying.  Of rejection, yes.  But not of actual death.  Once Shepard made it clear he really cared for her, she was very straight forward, even though her concern was still there.

Anybody else in here gonna be playing as quarians when the multiplayer comes out. My shep has always been an infiltrator so I wanna know if any Engineer-sheps can fill me in on the combat differences.

I agree completely with you.  (I assume you are refusing to play multiplayer for the same reason)
And don't apologize.  There was zero reason for multiplayer to be included in Mass Effect 3.  EA needs to keep out of things.  Contrary to popular belief you can in fact launch a game that DOESN'T have a multiplayer component and focuses completely on single player and story.

I didn't ask for this damn multiplayer!  What am I supposed to do with this?

Yep, that is why  I dislike the whole mutliplayer thing. Heck, the fact that a game do amazingly well without a mutliplayer was proven recently (and disproved what publishers have been saying) by Skyrim. But even so, I will likely still try out the mutliplayer, might as well since it is there.

Anyhow, we are getting off topic...so....uhhh...think Werdna *slaps forhead*....something Tali related....uhhh...

Since there will be several differing apearences for each charecter in ME3, what would you guys like to see for the various armor/aparrel sets for Tali?

Don't play it? Honestly I don't understand the uproar regarding an optional feature being added to a game as a bonus. If you are uninterested in it then that is perfectly fine. Personally I am unsure whether I will bother playing the multiplayer, probably only if there is an option for a male quarian infiltrator.

Some sort of shoulder plating like the male quarians have, heavier armor plating like in the AA DLC. All the fun, none of the double HUD's. ;)

It wasn't EA's idea, but I'm sure they loved it. I think you should at least give it a shot, as from what I have seen.... it might just be a nice bridge.

Tali's face? Just make it a grey-alien-esque version of a young Liz Sroka's and be done with it.

I've played as engineer, but not as infiltrator, but I doubt the comparison holds anyway, since Tali's talents are not the same as those of an Engineer shep.

In ME1, Engineers can only use a pistol (bonus talents gained from achievements notwithstanding), while Tali uses a shotgun. Tali's tech skills are electronics, damping, decryption and hacking, while Engineer shep also gets Medicine and can specialise into a Medic after the rogue VI mission.

In ME2, Engineers still start out with only a pistol and Tali still has the shotgun. Tali has combat drone, AI hacking and energy drain (when loyal), whereas Engineer shep has overload, incinerate, combat drone, cryo blast, and AI hacking.

Incinerate in particular is a great skill when the player has it (I found it hard to use effectively with Mordin, who also has it); it does damage to anything, shields and barriers included, and travels in a curve so it can go around cover. I rarely shot my gun after leveling up incinerate. Posted Image When I replayed ME2 as a Soldier, incinerate is the power I missed the most.

The biggest downside of playing with an engineer Shepard is that it rarely makes sense to take Tali with you on a mission, since her powers are a subset of yours.

Quarians in MP, what a joke. After 2 games of making a point on telling the fanbase that Quarians suck in a firefight they pander to the mancers.

Don't believe me play ME2 again. Count how many times Quarians get pwned and then ask Kal'Reeger (their toughest soldier) for his thoughts on the subject.
