I know of it, though I've never played it. Like I said, I don't really play shooters. I have played varous space strategy games like Elite and Ascendancy (I loved that game, even though the special skill system made one of the species way overpowered).Ticktank wrote...
Wow you were playing Sierra games?! Are you by any chance also familiar with Mass Effect 0, otherwise known as Star Control II?
ME1 has an inverse difficulty curve I find, at least when playing on normal. It's pretty hard to start with, but once you level up enough you can basically forget about cover and just charge in guns (and powers) blazing, a few more difficult missions aside. As for ME3 multiplayer I wouldn't worry. ME's gameplay itself has a very friendly learning curve, and I'm sure multiplayer will be the same, if not easier (since you don't have to control 2 squaddies).
Talimancer, as far as I understand the term, is just someone who romanced Tali in ME2, which would apply to me. If you're attempting to say I'm not obsessed, you would be correct. However, I don't think the people you are accusing of obsession necessarily are either (I understand there were a few really bad examples before I started visiting BSN, but that's not relevant now). They are just reacting--for better or worse--to the hostile attitudes others in this thread have shown. The fact that some people like to "retaliate" with hatred of other characters doesn't help things either.I wouldn't call you a Talimancer. You're a Tali Fan.
I'm a Ph.D. student, which is just about the opposite of being employed (as Terry Pratchett would say, unemployment isn't the opposite of employment, just the lack of it).Remember to also stay employed
TL;DR: Can't we all just get along?
