I sincerely hope that these were made before Tali's look for ME3 was finalized; it makes little to no sense to update the original cast's looks (VS, Liara, Garrus.) and not include Tali. It won't be game breaking, or something childish like that, but it will be another "Really Bioware? Really?" in a long line of such moments.

And Bovine, did they say that about Tali specifically? If so, I'd like to know where from.

Kinda sad no update to the costume.

I'm actually somewhat glad there isn't an update. There wasn't any reason to make her look any different. Her ME2 look was perfect. Ashley got changed because some thought she was too manish in ME1-ME2. Liara got an update to show how her life changed as she went on a mission of revenge, became the Shadow Broker, and so forth. Garrus became Batman. You get the idea. Tali just matured. That doesn't really require her to have some bright new look for ME3. I mean, that's just my opinion. 

I love her ME2 outfit, I just want to give her some more damn armor plating. Makes sense to be well armored during a galactic war.

And Bovine, did they say that about Tali specifically? If so, I'd like to know where from.

I guess they figured, Quarians being who they are, that she wouldn't obtain a new suit different from the ones she already has. Which is sad.

Remember though, Tali's look from ME1 to ME2 changed dramatically, if you didnt know it was her, you could easily confuse the two looks for two different people.

Other main characters didnt go through changes as dramatic as Tali's in ME1 -> ME2. Garrus looked the same in ME2 as he did in ME1 if you subtract the scarring and armour damage he gets in Omega. Ashley and Kaidan look the same, Liara is a little different, but her look in ME3 is very similar to her ME2 one.

So basically the other main characters are just getting with the times.

I'd like to think so too, but why would they use a placeholder in an official screen so close to release? That's the part that concerns me.

Hmm I am also confused as to why Tali looks exactly the same in these screens. Everyone has had a bit of a change in armor except her from what I've seen. Still, never really disliked the ME2 outfit so I'm probably going to be ok with this.

Only reason I could think of is that new outfit identifies her as an Admiral somehow... but I don't see that being true.

So basically the other main characters are just getting with the times.

Well Liara's ME3 outfit is her Shadow Broker one, which was a bridge between the two games, so you could almost consider her "ME2" outfit to really be her "ME3" one.

And while I understand where you're coming from, I really don't think it justifies not updating her look, just to fit in with the other squadmates, especially when you consider that this is the final game.

Considering the game is coming out in 2 months, and finalized for packaging in 1 or less, I'd say her costume is going to be the same. Unless you can buy her a new suit in ME3, or with DLC.

Either it's the exactly the same as ME2 as shown, or they've come up with some new outfit that's different (too revealing, maybe) and they don't want to show it yet. I lean towards the latter, but even if they kept the old look it's a win-win.

It does, but from a game developer standpoint it doesn't. Even if something is perfect as-is, they almost need to change things to freshen things up. Garrus may look nearly the same between ME1 and ME2, but in reality the only thing left mostly unchanged were a few styling cues and the color scheme.

i agree, i really like her ME2 look, although i'm curious still about her other suits
