I hope so. Perhaps it is an optional line?Someone With Mass wrote...

I'm a little worried about that line...
I think we need to know a little more about the context to that one.

There's actually a second, alternative line to that one:Someone With Mass wrote...

Tali: I was hoping for a promotion. I'm an admiral now.
I think it's largely dependent on the state and outcome of the quarian/geth conflict in the game (specifcally where or not the quarians make peace with geth or destroy them, etc) - I do not believe it affects her squadmate status, if that's what you're worried about.

Its funny you'd say something about their adaption; bedcause Tali says essentially the same thing to Sheperd.
"My system has adapted. No more negative reaction to you anymore. That's how we survive."
Woohoo!

@Ruthac_Arus: I really like that line-art; it has a very soft and rounded feel to it. Almost like Final Fantasy IX.
@C-Sec Nova: I agree. ^.^ If you don't mind more spoilers;
*Spoiler*
If you didn't romance either Garrus or Tali, they end up together in ME3, similar to how both Vega and Ashley hook up if their not romanced either. So while it means Tali being snatched away, its still a Turian Quarian relationship, and one that I'd totally support, if Garrus wasn't my bro and Tali my LI. ;p

Id have Tali die before I saw her snatched by Garrus instead of Kal! At lest they could have litlle quarian babies and I could be uncle shepard. Guess I'll always have to romance her;)BentOrgy wrote...

Also, after reading them I was tempted to switch my main LI from Liara to Tali (I've never been able to decide which character I prefer) but I prefer the idea that Garrus and Tali get together.

Doesn't look like that's gonna happen in ME3 - the Tali and Garrus romances in ME3 only occur if you had romanced them previously in ME2 (which means, yes, Tali and Garrus will be remaining straight in ME3 and will not be reconned into being bi or S/S).C-Sec Nova wrote...
:( That better not be the case... I was hoping to have Garrus be an S/S romance option...

What BentOrgy said doesn't mean that Garrus couldn't be an S/S romance option. Though I don't think that Bioware will make him bi.
Anyway, thanks BentOrgy for the info. I like that.

I agree on the FFIX feel.
Whoah. If you guys are comparing my Tali line art to something Amano did, I'm very honored! In any case, thanks! I'll post a better scan... some time. The small image loses a lot of detail.
On topic:
Still amazed they pulled out the infamous 3-word phrase. After pointedly ignoring it for most of the trilogy. And it *works*. Oh goodness, does it ever. If they keep that scene on Rannoch as described, that's going to be mind-blowingly awesome.

Totally agree with that.... it's one of the things that downright shocked me when I first read it (after never hearing it uttered in this entire franchise), but god, does it totally make the scene and perfectly encapsulates the relationship between the two at that point (along with the "response" that the other gives in return).Ruthac_Arus wrote...

It would be a smack in the face to the fool newbies who just wanna play ME3 without playing ME2 though; no Tali or Garrus for youz!
And its most definitely a compliment Ruthac; the word needs more Amano-san.. More Toriyama wouldn't hurt either; but he's busy with DB rewrites and shorts. Curses! I think it'd be cute (Or just insane.) to see Tali (Maybe Mass Effect in general.) done in that style.
EDIT: I'm also going to say how happy I am that "That," phrase finally happens in ME3. I guess when they made Vega Bi and Traynor a lesbian they figured that would be easy.

Wait. What phrase are y'all talking about?
In the interest of avoiding spoilers... what's a three-word phrase you'd
say to your significant other when you *really* want to let them know
you care, that often gets thrown around way too easily/readily (in fiction and otherwise), and
hasn't yet been uttered in Mass Effect by Shepard or his/her respective
romantic interests (that I'm aware of anyway) due to cliche factor.
If you feel like reading the spoilers I was reacting to initially posted by AVPen, it's the line right above "Keelah se'lai".
