But I agree; at first I wasn't sure if I had read it right, but it became fairly obvious who said it, and I danced in my seat. Its always fun seeing someone adopt another culture, especially when you're dating someone from said culture.

It'd be better because they both have chemistry and clearly like each other. Tail and Garrus have no chemistry and I don't even think they're good friends or anything.

It's just fanwank, that's all it is. That's all ME3 is.

Bad fanwank at that that leaves me terribly unsatisifed.

In ME3? Not really. Though there are a couple of details, or at least concepts at play, that I like.

I don't really remember any of her specific lines in ME3 and some of what they did with her I really don't like at all.

From my time on here I've noticed your a hard one to please. bioware could use a few more fans like you. but only a few.

I am pleased that Tali will at least be relevant to the plot in ME3. In fact I wish they'd have kept her out of ME3 and saved her for the finale. She could have an even bigger and more intricate role then.

I'm assuming you ment ME2 and if they kept her out of it either she would've died on haestrom or they would have had to come up with a viable story to why she was an admiral

There are several possibilities, but it'd be better than what we're getting. The ending to the quarian/geth situation is laughably ridiculous and so is the whole Admiral thing.

Actually I agree with the slight ridiculousness of the Quarian/Geth war ending? How u win a war in one day when they could'nt do it in 300 years? But I like the Admiral thing

ME2 marketing spoiled WAY too much. Also, we didn't get a trailer for every squad member.

Actually, there's implications that the Quarian/Geth conflict is solved over more than just a day. There's dialog (I think it's on the citadel or with Wrex) where a character talks to Shepard and mentions the Q/G war and how Shepard helped out, with Shepard responding that it's not over yet and there's still more to do in that conflict.


Although I agree that Tali becoming an admiral is a bit ridiculous, the circumstances under which it happens is not. Drastic times call for drastic measures. An exiled tali is 'temporarily pardoned' and becomes an 'adviser.' A loyal Tali becomes an Admiral, but she says that she isn't cut out for the job and that many know it and that the position is more or less just as a advisory position.


As for having Tali play a role in ME2, each to ones own. I think it was beneficial to the story, but agree to disagree.

She IS made an advisor (if exiled).

If loyal, she specifically says that the admiral position is only really for show/an advisory position anyway.

This is much like how Shepard was given his Specre status back by the counsel, but only as a 'show of faith.' It's just politics.

It is nothing like Shepard's Spectre status.

No shit, Spectre status and Quarian admiral status are two very different things. You could not have missed the point more if you were aiming in the wrong direction and the point was in another country altogether. It does not matter what position it was the Shepard was offered. The circumstances surrounding the offer and what the offer really means is what matters.

Politics is everything.

In ME2, the Spectre status that Shepard got was a "show of faith" by the council. Anderson (I think it was him, it might have been one of the councilors themselves) specifically says that it's nothing official. It's just a cover position given to so that they either don't look bad, they gain more of Shepard's trust.

The Admiral position is a sham. Tali knows it. The other Admirals know it. It's just politics.
