If the implement customization armor for squad mates I hope it's not like ME where only the color changes and the outfit is the same. Tali for one had this issue her phoenix one was the same as her purple one I really would love to see more Tali armor options that not just change colors but switch up the whole set like sheps could do in 2. I heard Earth factories make Quarian suits so maybe they decided to give her a reaper ass kicking line this apocalyptic season.

Maybe something like Shepard's DLC full body armors.

I love Tali.

Reapers better fear us.

Harbinger's worst nightmare is Chiktikka.

I thought only Shepard's dance was
super-awkward? I've seen Tali superimposed on all of his dances, and
they become instant Wynne.

Oh, and...

I wouldn't mind if that's her new intro.

Tali > Harbinger > Elcor w/ Pimphat

Right, didn't find anything Harbinger related, but I did find some Tali related dancing.

Ok, this is weird. He says they changed Tali, yet the trailer has her in her ME2 suit.

More than likely its just a placeholder.

Whoa whoa whoa, I didnt see her in any of the trailers. Was there something I missed?

I've seen that video before. Tali, Garrus & Legion (in that order) make up for the trippy-ness aspects.

There's a very brief shot of Shepard & Team Dextro walking in squad-formation through what appears to be a Quarian ship, Garrus in his shiny new armour and Tali in her lurvely old ME2 gear. Then it shows some shots of what appears to be a Quarian tactical room (which it seems is what they strode into).

The devs have said they've not yet given Tali her new outfit, though not for the same reason they're being reluctant about her face (Oh, wait, that's in the other thread, isn't it? Gonna go get it!)

Mako's direct quote:

All the characters have been given a redesign for Mass Effect 3. Do you ever worry about fan reaction?

Casey Hudson: You know, they've been pretty receptive to the changes we've made. We haven't really had much negative feedback from them. We changed Tali - that was tough because people were very passionate about her. A lot of people want to have her face revealed and obviously people are going to be pissed off either way.

Like "I thought she was going to look beautiful!" or "I thought she was going to be the most hideous thing ever!" So we've had a lot of debate over Tali's face, but that's the one we kind of dread a lot. We're always "well, let's talk about something else for a while!" That's something we're going to have to decide.

I'd bet quite a high sum that they'll be showing her face, though. At the very least, 50% (probably more) of her fans want to see it, and most of the other ME players do, too. And because of how well-loved Tali is, I'm quite certain I'll be very happy with Tali's face (just like how I absolutely love everything about Tali's look in ME2).

Hmmm, cool. Which trailer is it and where can I find it? I mean is it an IGN or Gameinformer exclusive or is it up on youtube?

Not sure which Trailer, really... Erm... It's one of the main ones, I can't remember much besides them in the Quarian ship, though... Also, I posted something else, seems you may have missed it (if not, my bad).

Anyone see the interview where they said they changed Tali or something like that? (It's on the front page)

Or is Casey just talking about the slight changes they did to Tali from ME 1 to ME 2?

i dont know about u, but if I was in charge of making concept art, i'd maake a face for tali even if she's helmeted all the time just for the sake of being thorough.

im willing to bet imaginary money that bioware does have some sort of concept art of talis face, though dated, theyve always had at least an idea of what she looks like.

@SkittlesKat96 I 'assume' Casey is talking about the change they have made for ME3, because the article's question is in the context of 'character redesign's for ME3'. Or at least, that is how I read it anyway. It will be interesting to see what the new outfit looks like!

There is a picture of Tali that was released around E3, which shows Tali in a different suit, but it is a combination of her normal ME2 armour and her alternative appearance pack armour. To me, the picture looks fake, because the colours don't quite match up (the combination of headscarf blue and gold on her body, just looks a bit 'off').

Edit: I have been looking for the picture of Tali in ME3 with her 'changed' suit in order to post it here, but I can't find it right now. Does anyone have a link to it?

Given what some of their concept art is like in the Art Book, even for very important things/characters, I'm not sure this is a good thing. You can guarantee that Tali's face will be given a lot of attention and consideration in ME3; But depending on how dated said concept art is, it's state may be much less than what we'll see in ME3 (/overconfident in seeing Tali's face).

from the interviews ive seen, i think bioware is well-aware that tali's face is a subject riddled with landmines.

wasnt there a story or something about this a thousand years ago or something? where some lady's beauty set sail a thousand ships to war or something like that.

By the wording, I interpreted what they said as possibly:
1. They changed something about Tali's face. One of these three:
a. Changed or decided whether/how they are going to show her face.
b. Changed what she looks like.
c. Made her mask transparent, which would be horrible.
or
(less likely)
2. They are referring to her outfit. They said the decision was "tough" so I really doubt it's going to be as simple as a color change. That isn't a tough decision - most people are going to have happy with whatever color as long as it's not outlandish.

Don't worry about it. It's a Texmod suit.

edit:
@Collider : I'm pretty sure they were talking about her suit. They don't want to say anything about her face.

I hope they haven't made the mask transparent.

Like, a brief 'reveal' during a cutscene would be fine, but not to see it all the time.

Yeah, The Trojan war.

But now it would be just lot's of cars, trains and planes full of angry mob going to Canada, if it ever come to that. :P

I sure hope that they are not going to make Tali's mask transparent. That would be worst solution.

Most likely they are now really forced to think that how Tali would look under that mask and then made that detailed face. I have always think that they does have had only vague idea of what Tali might look under the mask, but now they need to make detailed one, if they are planning to show it in some point.

I'm not sure why the idea of a transparent visor would be bad. She's part of Shepard's crew and having to live mostly human. The fact that she might eventually want to use facial emotions to convey feeling as opposed to a nervous, breathy voice over a suit mic. Seeing her would be nice, since the only in game visual of her face was in ME1 and that was a stand in. If they don't end up showing her, I'd probably end up favoring Liara in my romances, since I was usually tied to her at the end of the game, anyways.

While I could see it being revealed in a dire situation that required such an act around Shepard & Garrus or something (Not that I want anything of the sort, and they'd have to improve their relationship to the level of where they are according to fans (Garrus that is)), that's about it, aside from a romance scene. Really, it should be saved for that and only that, as Tali sharing her face with Shepard is at least as intimate as "sharing" any other part of herself with him.

I'm sure Tali would be quite uncomfortable if everyone could suddenly see her expression; It's a given. You don't live your entire life knowing in the back of your mind that you're safely behind an impenetrable vail, and that you're safe from prying eyes, without building up a dependancy on it. It would feel very strange to just walk around without it, and I can just imagine what she'd think about people staring at her face (Which everyone *would* do for quite some time after she removed her mask). Best saved for the most intimate of occasions.

PS: Leaving Tali because you can't see her face = lulwut?

I'm going to keep holding out hope that reason prevails and they don't show Tali's face. You fools calling for its reveal don't know how much you really don't want that.

Besides it will look cheap now seeing as the big reveal already happened for Shepard.

Actually I hadn't thought of that, that's a fair point.

If they did do a "reveal" they'd have to do it in a way that Shepard WONT be surprised (cause Talimanced Shep has already seen it).

..but having Shep go "Eh seen it" would cheapen the moment.
