I've only used Gibbed in a few instances for ME2 saves (namely for getting scenes for my Mass Effect 2: The Fanedit Series personal project), but never used it for my own "Perfect Run" canon Shepard, which is the one where I romanced Tali and Tali alone.HellBovine wrote...
You can always use gibbed save editor to recruit her earlier.AVPen wrote...
As for when we might be able to recruit her, I do hope that we can pick up squadmates by personal choice and not through pre-scripted events (always hated that Tali, Thane, etc., couldn't be recruited till after Horizon in ME2, but that was due to the limitations/size constrants of XBox 360 discs at the time, so hopefully they've changed it around for ME3).

Tali got any dialogue for Thessia or Sur'Kesh in the script?
She has for Thessia, but I'm not so sure about Sur'Kesh.
Maybe it'll be unlocked after a certain time. The quarian fleet needs to get within the Perseus Veil first, after all.

So, what does everyone think? Will we be able to recruit/help Tali right after the Citadel or will we be forced to follow a script? IE: krogan/salarian first then asari....
Well, if what BioWare has said is true, the missions will be structured more like ME1, so we may be able to do the Q/G missions directly after Mars.
Or we may have to do some missions before another bunch is unlocked.

I don't think I could have said it better. Well, actually I probably could have, but you said what most are thinking. There's only one or two people truly invested in this topic, to the point of killing the given character, even. As long as Tali's in the game, and not altered beyond recognition, I think most people are at least content.DiegoProgMetal wrote...
I know it's out of the discussion that is going on here, but I think this thing about "should Tali be admiral or not" too boring. My opinion is: I don't fu***ng care. Tali will be with Shepard 'till the end and that's all that matters to me.
Also, I like your signature. Eager, are we?
I'll have to disagree with that sentiment. What use is it if tali is with us throughout the game, only to have her character destroyed?
I'm being hyperolic here on purpose, but I just want to point out that its not enough to have tali tag along, her story is important too. She needs to grow and evolve as a character after all, or stagnation will kick in.

(Ideally) If the missions were structured like ME1 you'd get all of the squadmates minus one before leaving the first main area (citadel).

Which would be pretty messed up in ME3, considering that the area is under siege by the Reapers.

I'm going to recruit Tali as fast as I possibly can. Not just because I want her back on the squad as early as possible (although that is the main reason), but also because the whole geth/quarian plotline looks like one of the best parts of the game.
After that, Tali and I are going after TIM's base to end his shenanigans once and for all.

Wait, I thought you could only do that mission towards the end of the game. Or am I mistaken?Someone With Mass wrote...

Yes, and that's why I'm getting Tali first when I'm given free hands.
The assault on the base seems pretty fun too.

Oh, and Thessia is barely a concern for me, barely any strategic value unless I wanna buy my troops some dances for morale.

But if TIM's base is near the end of the game, then you can't do it immedately after recruiting Tali, which was what you seemed to say you would do in your earlier post. Or when you said "after that" did you not mean "immediately"?Someone With Mass wrote...

Pretty much my plan as well (sorry LiaraUnschuld wrote...
I have honestly have no clue where I'm going to go first in this game. I'm guessing Earth won't be an option as a first priority, rather the end goal, so I'll probably try to hit Palaven and then Rannoch first if possible. Unfortunately Thessia is at the bottom of my list.

Doing the quarian/geth missions asap not just because it is the only way to recruit Tali, but also because it makes sense as the most pressing concern at the time. No other two species are in open war at the time of the reaper invasion.

Good point. Aren't the geth essentially working for the reapers (again) though? In that sense it wouldn't necessarily be a separate war.

Right. In which case I'll wait with the geth/quarian conflict if it occurs later in the game until it's side to side with the base attack.

People are far too invested in this "title" debate, almost arguing over what her day to day responsibilities will be and if she's ready for that.
There's only really one or two things that would "destroy" her character (i.e. change what we already know about her and her past). This is why I said "as long as they don't change her beyond recognition." I'm not necessarily talking about looks, I mean her character overall.
Whether or not she will get a story is not up for debate, that much is already guaranteed. In addition, her story makes some sense given her statement in ME2, provided of course you didn't get her exiled.

I missed the Geth --and so all of the story that came with them-- in ME2, combine that with the idea of finally getting Tali a house on a homeworld...
Needless to say; it wasn't a difficult choice.

I agree. The quarian/geth situation is something I looking very forward to concluding. If me3 consisted of nothing but the quarian/geth conflict, but made as the entire campaign. That would be awesome imo.hand-o_death547 wrote...
I am gonna recruit tali and go the Geth/quarian stuff the second I get a chance. I hope I can end it peacefully though, because I really like Legion.
