It looks like that dialogue happens only if Miranda is dead or does it change when she's alive?
I think it happens either way. Should change a bit, though.

Hmm, was debating on saying anything about that scene, but since you posted part of it, here's the full scene for those that want to read it:
*SPOILER*
Oh, it's much longer than that.

Speaking of spoilers, I'm probably being retarded here, but is Tali fem LI in ME3? Do we know? Can't be bothered to look for the appropriate thread.

They haven't officially announced LIs yet, but seeing as how they said you'll be able to continue your ME2 LI, of course she will be romanceable in ME3. Very doubtful she'll go for females though.

From the things that i've read, it sorta sounds like Tali (and Garrus as well) is only romancable in ME3 if you had started the romance back in ME2 (as I can't find any "new LI" dialogue for her as I've found for Liara or Ashley, plus the fact that she'll start up a relationship with Garrus in ME3 if she's not with you). So with that in mind, it doesn't look like Tali will be retconned into being either bi or gay in ME3 for FemSheps.Sandbox47 wrote...

God damn it. The main redeeming quality of DA2 was the LI thing. I suppose that ME3 won't need that, but still. Would be nice.

My soldier shep is my talimance, so im liking the idea of them and garrus all packing revenants for ARs, or whatever new "machine gun" AR the give us... I like to go pure white armor with death mask on my shep, kinda a dual symbol as Tali's White Knight and the whole SW Stormtrooper "death comes for you" effect.
I'm doing a new engineer shep playthrough where shep changes from ash to Tali so i can see how they plays out, the soldier is loyal to tali only, wanted tali in ME1 but couldnt so didnt mance anyone in it, yay ME2 shep was estatic. And yeah i face palm everytime i recruit tali in ME2, i wanna knock jacob out....i've never heard the cuttlebone remark though oO....how do you get to hear that?
Something like this.
But enough about Jacob.
I think Tali is going to go so well with my Engineer in ME3, since her passive power decreases the cooldown of tech powers and increases the duration. If I add that to the Engineer's passive, which can do roughly the same things, I'm going to have one hell of a tech team.
It's possible that the "New LI" dialogue for Tali/Garrus wasn't yet finished in the leaked script, but considering that we're getting at least 6-7 new LI in ME3 (Vega, the two S/S characters, another character that's sorta like the ME2 Kelly "pseudo-romance", and 3 "technically new" romances for Liara and both VSs if they were never romanced in ME1), plus the fact that the other ME2 LIs only get continuations of their ME2 romances (ie, you can't start something up with Miranda, Thane, etc, if you didn't start the romance in the last game), and it's seems probable (to me, anyway) that Tali's romance in ME3 will only occur if you had started the relationship back in ME2.Someone With Mass wrote...
I don't think they wouldn't allow new players to romance Tali or Garrus.

Man, those quarian admirals are intimidating.
And if you get nervous, you can't even imagine them naked, because, like, who knows, it's a tentacle monster under there... What is that? What's under there?
-You know, the quarians have done pretty well with those suits. Maybe they could make something like that for you.
They have 'em. Protective medical exoskeleton. I could even get one with racing stripes.
-So what's the problem?
It's like walking around in heavy armor. Totally screws with my spatial awareness.
-I wear heavy armor, and my spatial awareness is perfect.
You crashed the last shuttle you flew, Vega.
I need to feel my balance shift when I'm flying. I need to feel the ship moving with me.
You take that away, and... I don't know. I mean, I'm good, but I'm not me.
-Yeah, I get that.
Plus, have you seen Tali? Come on, I don't have the hips to carry a suit like that.

Every other squadmate in ME3 seems to have a pretty positive view on Tali as well.
Even Joker throws in a few lines.
