Yeah, the masses are generally not reasonable or mature. Even I have lapses and immature outbursts all of the time, whenever something I REALLY don't like sets me off I can either try to keep my cool or fly right off the goddamn handle instead.

And after being around BSN long enough I agree that it would literally be a form of suicide for Bioware to make Tali look like a predator.

Then again, we're talking about professional artists designing a love interest for a Bioware RPG. Something makes me think that "Let's draw some inspiration from Aliens vs Predator" will not be the first thing that goes through their head.

Just in case anybody wants to find out about Tali's "new toy" in ME3, be sure to read on down: ;)

**GAMEPLAY SPOILERS**highlight to read**

Defense Drone   (Spawns a drone that follows its user around and defends it by shocking enemies who get within range.)
2nd Rank
Recharge Speed   Increases recharge speed by x%.

3rd Rank
Damage   Increases damage by x%.

4th Rank
Duration   Increases duration by x%.
OR
Range   Increases attack range by x%.

5th Rank
Attack Rate   Drone attacks occur x% more frequently.
OR
Damage/Range   Increases damage by x% and attack range by x%.

6th Rank
Incapacitate   Enemies have a x% chance to be knocked down when shocked.
OR
Chain Lightning   A chaining series of shocks damages up to x additional targets.

Yep, Tali has a brand new, second Drone power in addition to her Combat Drone (anyone care to guess whether or not she'll name this one as well? :P ). Additionally, one of the evolutions for her Quarian Machinist class is called "Drone Specialist", which increases the recharge speed for her Drone powers by a certain percent.

The name needs to have something to do with Baervan Wildwanderer, just as her combat drone is named after Chiktikka Fastpaws.

Unless she just names it Boo, or something about Minsc which would be fine as well.

Seriously though, that power is just freaking amazing. It's a nice big boost for Tali's powerlevel as a squadmate, because it purposefully negates bad A.I. by making you want to have an enemy or two flanking Tali for the extra CC and damage involved!

Here, here! That sounds like an excuse to dump a new fan-art from DA. This one is of the old familiar Space-Drow Elf variety.

*snip*

As Alienmorph mentioned in a group yesterday, this picture just screams

"Come at me, bro. COME AT ME. I'M STANDING RIGHT HERE, COME AT ME BRO."

I guess that's supposed to be blood on her face... or something. That's probably one of those designs that would enrage the "those-who-hunt-space-elves" group, but I couldn't say I'd be too disappointed. I don't think the jaw looks manly at all, it's not broad enough. The chin is just a little pronounced/long so it's fine.

There has been discussion about whether or not Tali's romance subplot has Shepard being the "White Knight" in the relationship. Well, after reading this article, I would like to see what everyone's opinion on this is.

I read this article expecting hilarity, but actually it was a pretty in-depth analysis. Sadly, I've seen a few of my friends commit this sort of thing, which ended up being really pathetic and painful to watch.

As for Shepard/Tali, that depends. If anything, I'd say the Jack romance subplot is much more fitting to that sort of catergory though. However, Shepard's motivations aren't really his/hers. They're the players'. We don't really get to "see" inside his/her head to reveal Shepard's motivations in the way that you would with a character in a book or a movie. Shepard's motivations and thought process are projection of your own reasons and motives to why Shepard does things in the game.

If your "head canon" is attracted to Tali because she's tried for treason, or because she has daddy issues, or because she's a bubble girl and you want to assuage those difficulties with Shepard's penis then yes, Shepard's relationship with her could be said to be a "White Knight" sort of thing. Same goes for just about any other romance character in the game (Though from the dialogue Miranda seems more like a notch in the bedpost kind of thing). It is what you make it.

Pffftt, me3 could suck in every category, but as long as the romance plot with tali is good, the game would get a 5star rating from mePosted Image

I need to stop coming here, it just reminds me how long I have to wait, and I don't even have it pre-ordered.  That on top of the utter lack of info Bioware has given to us.  Posted Image (non-leak info that is)

Aghh! I keep getting the top, sorry guys.  I should probably figure out how to post photos shouldn't I?

You know how a couples pages back, we were wondering whether or not we could give Tali any kind of two weapons that we wanted or if she'd still have her Pistol/Shotgun set from ME2? Well, now we have our answer:

twitter.com/#!/manveerheir/status/159397079649759234
"Can Liara really wield a Revenant or did I see a placeholder in that Gameinformer issue?"

"You can give your squad members any weapon you can use"

Guess my Tali will be getting that assult rifle that I wanted her to have to go along with her shotgun after all. :D

Maybe its like ME1 though, where they can use them, they just can't hit anything unless they are 5 feet away from the target because they cannot "train" with that weapon.

Oh and thanks for explaining pics to me

Except the ME1 "Weapon Skills" which determined how skilled a character was at a particular weapon no longer exist since ME2 (nor do they exist in ME3).

true enough, though the weapon wheel, still doesn't show "untrained" on the shotgun for Tali in my current playthrough even though no skill points are allocated to it. Still giving every character equal weapons use breaks the idea of having some long range and some short range squadies. I guess that we will have to wait to see exactly what they do with this. Though it seems pretty clear from that quote.

It only breaks it if you only assign them all one weapon type. Otherwise, it gives the player more control over who gets to be long range/medium range/short range rather than the game forcing you to take certain squaddies to fill those roles.

I just kind of liked the idea of techs like Tali having to focus more on the use of powers than running up and owning every enemy with a Revenant, I think that the first couple of games had it right where not every class can use every gun. Which brings up the question does this mean if you are, say a Vanguard, will you be equiping any squadie you want with a shotgun, because that is literally what that quote would imply, unless of course every class can use every gun, in which case it pretty much sucks to play as a soldier.

This is great news. It'll give  something to think about for the people who think Tali was useless in ME2. That is if Tali can actually use any weapon effectivly. Even the shotguns in ME3 looks pretty powerful and you can shoot things more than 10 feet away.B)

I play as a soldier, not too worried. I'd extrapolate that what the twitter quote means is that you can give them any one or two weapons from the start of the mission like ME2. Otherwise, if they're carrying everything like in ME1 (but can actually aim this time) you could tell them to switch weapons depending on the situation, like if you're pinned down/can't get a clear shot and want a squaddie to get to some other cover and take out the aggressor from a better angle with a long range weapon. Or on the flipside telling Garrus to stop %^#$ing shooting his rifle at rushing enemies 5 feet away and have him use a shotgun which would be best in that situation.

I will always go soldier, it's like on the elder scrolls games I always go with the warrior type class. I think they should do something like, the more a character uses a certain weapon, the better they get with it. I can tell you the first time I ever shot a rifle I wasn't a very good shot. But over a decade of shooting and I've defenitly improved my aim. I just hope it won't take them over a decade to learn how to use an assault rifle....
