Top 4 reasons to get Mass Effect 3:
4. The other games were awesome.
3. The gameplay.
2. The story.
1. Tali

That's a pretty resonable list.  Oh god is it march yet??????

It's still mid-January. We have almost 50 days left to go. :(

Anyway, I like the list.

48 days, 3 hours, 49 minutes, 18 seconds.

Skyrim is the only thing keeping me from thinking about Mass Effect all day. Brilliant game. I share the sentiment though, it's just as hard for me to get away from zweihanders and bows as it is to tear me away from playing the soldier class in Mass effect.

You know how a couples pages back, we were wondering whether or not we could give Tali any kind of two weapons that we wanted or if she'd still have her Pistol/Shotgun set from ME2? Well, now we have our answer:

twitter.com/#!/manveerheir/status/159397079649759234
"Can Liara really wield a Revenant or did I see a placeholder in that Gameinformer issue?"

"You can give your squad members any weapon you can use"

Guess my Tali will be getting that assult rifle that I wanted her to have to go along with her shotgun after all. :D

This is great news. It'll give  something to think about for the people who think Tali was useless in ME2. That is if Tali can actually use any weapon effectivly. Even the shotguns in ME3 looks pretty powerful and you can shoot things more than 10 feet away.B)

I think they meant weapons that falls into the squadmates' category, not all of them.

But hey, that means Tali can use the Graal and the Claymore.

Then why can Liara use the Revenant?

Anyway, I can't wait for Shep and Tali to be the Claymore Couple.:wizard:

I rented skyrim, then I got it for christmas and I think I have played it once since then haha. It's an amazing game no doubt, but that type of game doesn't really hold my attention for too long.  I'm a gun nut so if I'm not shooting some kind of rifle It feels wrong to me haha.  And I also hope that they make the movements and stuff like that more like actual soldiers in ME3.  I always felt like they did things wrong in the last two.  Such as "ok everyone is this room is dead/ we are going to talk to someone everyone put your weapons away, we can just pull them back out once people start shooting again."

I will always go soldier, it's like on the elder scrolls games I always go with the warrior type class. I think they should do something like, the more a character uses a certain weapon, the better they get with it. I can tell you the first time I ever shot a rifle I wasn't a very good shot. But over a decade of shooting and I've defenitly improved my aim. I just hope it won't take them over a decade to learn how to use an assault rifle....

That would be pretty great, I wonder if they could do that though.  I am no programmer, it just seems difficult.

It probably would be, but I think it's something they could do.

If it bothers you now, wait until you're done with training. You will notice just about every tactical wtf or mistake in every videogame or scifi movie. Yes, worse than just putting your weapons away in order to talk after killing a couple enemies without scanning the rest of the room. Some of those instances still really bother me in Mass Effect, but you have to remind yourself that it is still just a game.

I have a feeling that Bioware has settled on a design where every squadmate can, in fact wield every weapon. This is the reason that they implemented the encumbrance system for Mass Effect 3.

There are strict penalties for equipping a weapon outside of your norm, which is an increase in your encumbrance. Encumbrance globally increases the cooldown on all powers. You have to weigh if the extra fire-power is worth waiting longer between using abilties.

On the off-hand, this could also mean that just equipping a squaddie with a single pistol will bring their cooldowns lower than normal? Lots of interesting implications have arisen in my mind, suddenly..

I had not heard of that system. That would make this whole deal work into the system that they already have a lot more effectively.

I think that was just a placeholder, because they have said before that the squadmates will only have two weapon categories.

Unless you'll be given the option to add one later.

No, in the spoiler group there was a thread that gave all of Tali's powers, and Carnage wasn't one of them.

I doubt Tali has that power. Doesn't really fit her style.

Or her character. She's usually... cleaner. The new version of Carnage lives up to its name. >_>
