Does Tali have claws, or what? Seems to me they'd be filed down (and nothing protrudes through her suit that I can see). I suppose it's completely speculative, as they'd probably be shorn down for comfort in the suit & to prevent any punctures. And I suppose we don't even know if she has chittin at all, let alone on her digits.

They look like fingernails to me,
though I don't think anyone was meant to examine her fingertips very
closely so they might not be anything than an anomaly of her character

Oh, but I do know what at least some fans like about her. I never said it was the only thing, but it is one thing. I know because I'm one of them and I don't think I'm terribly exceptional as a fan of Tali.
Giving the fans everything they want is not always a good things. Fans can spoil things for themselves and for everyone else as a consquence.

Well I certainly hope she has fingernails/toenails. I've seen art depicting her without it and it just looks... odd. Not alien, just... incomplete.
I don't see anything pointing out of her tips in that pic. Though if there is then again... I think it is just an anomaly of her character model. You aren't meant to look at it under a microscope. Remember, that model has no lower jaw.

Right, I meant the picture shows human-like long fingernails through her gloves, but at the dead center of her fingertip, there's a pyramid-like spike, an additional one. Am I alone here?
