The geth/quarian section is one of the most complete parts of the script; it is also my favourite main plot mission, from what I've seen. There's lots of good Tali stuff in there; and of course, a lot more after you finish the mission and she joins the squad again.schemata wrote...
Without any spoilers, with the leak, is talis story basically all mapped out? As well as geth/quarian dilemma?

I've always found it strange that the GETH never made the argument that regardless of their actions all the quarians living at the time of the morning war are dead now if by no other means then simple aging will have gotten them.ParagonForLife wrote...

That glimmer of hope I had, its now gone. Now no speculation and no hope. Is the reaper plot stupid with no spoilers, be honest.
See I was hoping they were going to pull a massive 'kotor" and have it be completely awesome. But now. its like. not so sure.

It's about... what you probably expected going in. There are a few nice concepts actually, but the execution leaves something to be desired.
The quarian/geth plot is much worse.

Take what he says with a large grain of salt. Almost everything that doesn't fit in a neat, Saphra-shaped box is "Stupid."
I've read the script extensively; and as a storyteller, and as a Tali fan, I am pleasantly surprised and content. I can only imagine, with sound, visuals, and context, Rannoch will be even better.
Don't get me wrong, taking on a Reaper with a tank-mounted cannon is still ridiculous, but the politics, emotion, and stakes surrounding the mission are very compelling.

You know why I can't appreciate it? Even when I'm killing the last of the geth the developers have to sit there and preach at me. They even force Tali to accept the geth as equals and living beings in the process. It's so very tear jerking.
Of-course it's even worse if you decide to let the geth pulverize the quarians. Then Shepard stands there on his podium and lectures Tali about how the quarians deserve this, the entire last 300 years is their fault, and it's not his job to save them from themselves.

I have a better idea.
Rather than taking my opinion or yours he can just read it himself and come to his own conclusion.

I'll agree with you on that last point for sure; the siding with the geth ending is extremely awful, on many levels. Thankfully I'll never see it though.Saphra Deden wrote...

Fine by me, I wasn't the one trying to destroy a mission to someone who doesn't know any better with my preconceptions.

I feel vindicated by it as it is proof that what I've said all along: that the writers have always been on the side of the geth. They won't let the players decide for themselves whether the geth are alive or whether the quarians were right or wrong to try and destroy them. The writers instead insist on choosing for us. I always suspected this since the first game and ME2 mostly kept that theme going. ME3... it's all right there in the open.

Love this pic so much. Fav maskless Tali. The artist actually did my two fav Tali pics. The other one being my personal favourite. Link is in the picture.
As for me personally regarding the Quarian/Geth conflict? I'm honestly very satisfied with how it can all turn out, particulary the outcome of peace between the two races and proving the organics and synthetic races are able to live together (along with the Geth ultimately helping to jumpstart the Quarians immune systems by intergrating their software into the Quarians envirosuits).

You do have a point there. As I plan on always taking the peace ending, I won't have this problem, but I can definitely see where you're coming from. Not sympathizing with the geth should indeed be a possibility.Saphra Deden wrote...
