I am aware that Tali changes her feelings towards the geth. Ill assume thats what you are talking about.

Really? Thats depressing, I like Xen. **** that.
Oh it's worse than it sounds. In fact the way that scene is written is what made me finally decide I hated Tali.
Why stick around? Mean that non offensively

but from what I have read, it seems that the team is genuinely trying to make up for the failed Character Piece that was Mass Effect 2.
All the effort in the world doesn't mean it isn't crap.
You sound like that blabbering fool AgitatedLemon; all the evidence and suspended-judgement in the world is wasted on you.
And for that, I'm done, yet again, dealing with you and your shouting "Na na na, I can't hear you."

The art style caught my attention; her face looks so.... Ominous.

"What would your father say, Tali?"
"He'd say that was one crazy bosh'tet."
It irks me because I know it isn't true. Rael wanted Xen to carry on his work. However Tali has some vendetta against her and so kept her out of it, despite being willing to lie about Rael's work to save his reputation. Xen made the conquest of Rannoch possible.
I don't remember exactly how the rest of the exchange went and don't have the files to check.
That line from Tali and the way the scene was set-up just made me realize how selfish she is. That should have been obvious enough in ME2 when she asked you to lie about her father so he could escape responsibility for all the people he got killed. However, you know, she had a lot going on... I forgave her. Everyone slips up.
Though it's also just my pent-up frustration that I knew Xen would be made into a villain and die all along and it was apparent from what happens earlier that Bioware is firmly on the side of the geth. I can't really side against the geth in any meaningful way without being preached at. I can't agree with Xen. I have to take her out and the game has to make the characters revel in it.
The fact is, Xen was still a hero to her people but Tali doesn't care. You think she'll want Xen to be remembered for all the good she did? No, Xen will go down as the villain that Rael should have been. However that's okay, because Tali doesn't like her.

On an unrelated note however, I dont believe what Tali wanted you to do on her loyalty mission was completely selfish, as I am pretty sure she mourns about what will happen to the fleet just afterwards implying that she knew what would happen to her people if the evidence is given from the start. Maybe she forgot to mention it.

Oh not this again. Tali didn't want you to lie to save the Migrant Fleet. She wanted you to lie to save her father's legacy. She knew nothing about what effects this might have on the fleet and neither did Shepard. The narrative never even mentioned what might happen.
Of-course, afterwards, if the fleet breaks up Tali is distraught about it. Why wouldn't she be? However that's not what she was thinking of when she asked you to lie. It was for her father (for her), not for the fleet.

Do you really have to take Xen out in the "kill all the geth" ending? I haven't actually seen much of how things go if you take that route.
Maybe, maybe not. They way the files are put together it can be a little hard at times to tell exactly what is happening or what choices there are. However I got the impression you had to take her down as it seems she caused some kind of disaster and she wasn't going to surrender.

Im not arguing a lot of what you said. Im just saying that immediately afterwards, while on the flotila, she mentions what will happen to her people, implying that she knew all along and that may have been another factor for her choice there.Saphra Deden wrote...

i dunno why but theres something about the quarian/geth war thats reminiscent of certain realworld conflicts.. the quarians driven out of their homes, the geth wanting to exist..sounds really familiar.

Considering she never brought that angle up until after the decision was made I don't think it was her priority.

I know why she didn't mention it: her father's legacy was more important.
I think you just want to believe otherwise because you don't want to confront how horrible of a thing it was that Tali was asking you to do.
It's not easy to admit that people we like might not actually be good people, or at the very least that they are capable of very bad things.
Such is typical of the Tali/Paragon crowd.

I don't think he was a scumbag but I do think he deserved to pay the price for his reckless stupidity. The relatives of his many victims deserved justice, they deserved the truth.
