Missing part of what you're saying? You said it was good enough for you. That's your stance on it, is it not? I don't think that's very admirable or defensible.
I won't claim to have the accepted moral highground in most matters, but I'm honest about that.
You aren't being very honest.
I SAID: "I think that's better than sabotaging the future efforts of the families of the crew of the Alarei by publicly admit that their relatives aided in a crime. It doesn't help anyone."
Then again, you seem to have a very distinct problem with reading past the first paragraph.
And I find it very cute that you think you know what my honest opinion is, as if you know me beyond this faceless avatar on the internet.
Not to mention that your own argument isn't very defensible, since THE EVIDENCE IS RIGHT THERE ON THE SHIP FOR THE TAKING, WHICH THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH LATER. You know, actually decide for their own future and see if they really need the public (dis)approval after Shepard's been there.
It's funny how it's okay for Shepard to decide what should be revealed without knowing the consequences, while you're not giving the admirals, the elected leaders of their race, a chance to decide what they think is best for their people.
Even if the information was made public, what practical solution would that lead to, beyond letting the people know the truth? Which I personally think that they don't need, seeing how they have enough on their plate by having to deal with the loss of a family member.
What are they going to do? Punish the criminals who are already dead? Are they going to target the families of the criminals? What good would that do?
