Then again I thought the same thing about her and garrus. I really don't see why of how they got together. The only thing they have in common is their proteins, and shep.

What if Shepard is actually a chicken in disguise? Mmmmmmm.

That's probably the most likely out of those three things.Ravensword wrote...

I don't think so. Sex is a much more significant act for her than it is for the other love interests.

He's talking about a three-way. I assume he's trying to be funny, and being rather unsuccessful at it.Welsh Inferno wrote...

I think it's cringe-worthy. Tali would work so much better with Kal, especially since in ME2 it was obvious they cared about each-other.
Tali and Garrus though? I've never seen them share a kind word. They are at best associates, but not even friends.

It's the most tragic of the plot twists throughout the entire game.

If you don't like it (I don't really either), just romance one of the two yourself. Problem solved. I'm doing that most games, although the preventing them from getting together thing isn't the main reason, as they're my favourite romances regardless.Saphra Deden wrote...

I was just playing ME1 and I was listening to some squad banter. Tali asked how Garrus felt to be tracking down a fellow Turian. Garrus made the obvious observation that Saren was either crazy or a traitor to his own people. But then Tali points out that were she in his position that Quarian culture would dictate that she try to remain loyal to him. Brought upon by concerns of low population, you're born and raised to stay loyal to each other even when it's difficult (UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR in the case of hypothetical Quarian-Saren!)
It just made me think about how it is foreshadowing of Tali's fierce loyalty to her father, and how she was raised to believe in those terms. Definitely somewhere they can go further with character development in Mass Effect 3, perhaps distancing herself further from that line of thinking as she grows closer to the Normandy, to Shepard and begins contemplating peace with the Geth as opposed to war.

There are a few good scenes in the leaks where that dynamic is brought up in her converstations with Shepard.Atemeus wrote...

After Ascension I was kind of hoping the quarians would be enemies in ME2 or something and that Tali would be obligated to stand against you.
Pity.

Tali would help kill them in defense of you, and it would legitimately put her in threat of exile for Shepard's sake, instead of her Father's. It'd be a different direction to go, anyway.
It'd be a bit too sudden of character development, though. It's better to set the stage for Tali to reflect back on her loyalty to her people and what it has really gotten her and make judgments on it moving forward, rather than immediately resolve the conflict within her character in one game.

Maybe if it was just a small squad that flipped ****, jumped to conclusions and decided to fight against Shepard with thinking along the lines of Prazza.
No, that's the wuss in you talking.
The quarians should have followed through with their plans in Ascesion to find a Reaper and use it to control the geth. Or maybe in ME3 they ally with Cerberus for that reason. After all they want the homeworld and might be willing to pay any price to get it.
So you wind up having to fight them, perhaps to save them from themselves.

Quarians are a tight-knit society and don't seem to lose grudges easily. Since what Cerberus did to their fleet,
They were perfectly happy to work with Cerberus in ME2 and didn't seem to hold a grudge so don't sell 'em short.
If Cerberus offered them something they needed I wouldn't be surprised if they agreed.

I wouldn't say it was really cerberus they minded working with. It was only shepard really, mixed with a bit of Tali's influence in the flotilla. There really isn't any information that would support good terms between the two. Just my opinion though.

Too bad that Shepard =/= Cerberus, then.
No, wait. It's a great thing to not be associated with those incompetent losers.
