I think it's cringe-worthy. Tali would work so much better with Kal, especially since in ME2 it was obvious they cared about each-other.

Tali and Garrus though? I've never seen them share a kind word. They are at best associates, but not even friends.

I totally agree. Tali and Garrus are at most acquaintances at ME2. It could evolve into a nice friendship in ME3, but jumping straight into a romance is just completely absurd. As for Kal, she asks Shepard to keep him alive, but doesn't even bother of talking about the other quarians there. Or course they are at least close friends, and that would make sence to turn into something more.

On my 1st run in ME1 I always made Tali to use Sniper.

Later I find out she sucks at it.

Right. I was just commenting that someone, whoever it was, used the original image well. It's been floating around the nets since ye olde mega thread.

On the subject of squaddies now being allowed any type of weaponry... she'll probably still rock the heavy pistol and shotgun in my playthroughs, unless I find good reason thematically to give her other things (like new Geth weapons, etc). Or straight up just let her use a shotgun and nothing else. If only having one weapon lowers power recharge time, I'll probably experiment with finding a way to minimize that for her, be able to toss out drones and whatnot more often.

I'll probably give her both of the geth weapons or the Graal and the Indra (basically an Arc Projector sniper)

or if, like you said, recharge times go down if they only bring one weapon, then I'll just leave her with either the Graal or the Geth Plasma Shotgun.
