I felt that squadmates in general were more useful in 1 than in 2. Even Miranda with all her team buffs is still squishy as most of the squadmates(Grunt is the strongest.) At least in the first game, squadmates can be durable for more than five seconds.JosephDucreux wrote...

She was only more useful in ME1 because the enemies were dumb as bricks.
In ME2, it varied a bit for me. One time she took out a Blue Suns Commander all by herself with the Eviscerator and and sometimes she did the same routine as everyone else by running out in the middle of the open.
In ME3, I'll let her use the Raptor and the Crusader.
By the way, Miranda's passive bonus is so useless if you're anything else but a Soldier and don't have Energy Drain or Reave as bonus power, so I think I'll take Kasumi, Mordin, Tali and Garrus instead.

I dinno. I always exchanged and moved squadies around in ME2, to fit the battle plan.
If Geth or mechs were involved? Oh ****. Tali and Legion pretty much OWNED that damn battlefield. Legion's loyalty mission was a freaking breeze and a half. Same goes for Tali. And that was on Hardcore. Hacking left and gosh darn right.

Well then I guess it's a good thing that she can have other weapons now. If the shotgun mechanics aren't any better than ME2's, she could switch to a more efficient weapon. A win/win situation.

Tali is totally getting the Graal shotgun on my playthrough. I don't know if I should give her an assault rifle or her usual SMG/Pistol though.

Im gonna give her a Shotty and AR, so she can have mid to long range firepower and up close insane firepower. I took the reave bonus power on my soldier shep (talimance) to strip biotic barriers, that way i could keep taking tali on missions that didnt have synthetics simply because her drone worked great for distracting husks and scions, allowing me to fire off the arc projector at a mass of husks lol. for missions where i had to fight geth (prior to legion joining team) i would take tali and garrus with his overload power maxed, total lawl fest on how easy it was, i would use squad disruptor ammo too.

I was thinking Shotty and AR, AR for cutscene purposes but after I was recently reminded of that old Tali art with the massive sniper rifle I... may do that. Just cause.

More like the "gotcha" that you get when you give her a hand cannon. Or maybe just heavy pistols in general. Here is a question, why is there such a huge deal with calibrations, and not engine cleaning? Is it because calibrations is just that much more fun to say?
