Holy s***.

Dark Horse Comics sent us some juicy details about the second issue of the Mass Effect: Homeworlds[/i] comic series, that will be on sale on May the 30th.

The second issue focuses on everyone’s favorite Quarian, Tali’Zorah, in a story written by Patrick Weekes, that also wrote Tali’s story in Mass Effect 3. The script will bear the sigature of Jeremy Barlow (Star Wars: Rebellion).

On a mission to end her people’s generations-long exile, Tali uncovers the treachery of a central Mass Effect figure and finds herself hunted by assassins. Fleeing to the Citadel for help, she instead encounters disgust and discrimination in the most “civilized” place in the galaxy.

You can see a couple of lovely and exclusive illustrations from the comic below. It’s Mass Effect, and it’s sweet, sweet Tali. What’s not to love?

I'm genuinely shocked at this news, I would've thought that the mini-series wouldn't be dealing with Tali (and I'm assuming Garrus in a future issue as well), given that she could die in the Suicide Mission and may not be available for all Shepards in ME3.

That said.... Hell yes! :D

I'm glad that Patrick Weekes is writing it because if he weren't, I would have blown this off. I hope it's good because the franchise's comic book record is not that great.

OH MY GOD!!! I will so be buying a comic for once, and I will frame it and put it up on my wall forever!

But funny thing, doesn't that story sound like what she was going through when you first met her? With Saren. Will that be what this comic is about? And if so why is the art have her in ME2 suit. Not that I'm complaining, like at all, her ME1 suit was just no good to me, especially the misleading silver arm. For a whole year I thought it was robotic.

And really it's possible they've altered history to have her wearing this then, they already did the same thing in the PS3 ME2 first game recap comic.

The "Mass Effect: Homeworlds" comic series takes place between ME2 and ME3, so this story is not a retelling of her ME1 backstory.

But if I worked there I'd go down on Tali every day.

What are you crazy? Trust me, I've seen bad fan art. I've seen lots of bad fan art. This art does not look like bad fan art. It does not look bad at all. In actuality it looks pretty damn good.

So I don't know what sites you go to that had such amazing fan art, that this is bad to you, but this does not resemble bad fan art Mr Crazy.

I don't find anywhere on either the dark horse site or the wikia that says these comics take place between ME2 and 3. In all likelihood, these comics are origin stories for characters of ME3. Vega's is likely going to be about that terrible military mission that was mentioned in Conviction. Tali's comic probably will be a prequel to ME1 because this plot sounds too much like what happened to her in ME1 to be coincidence, or lazy writing.

Tali gets a comic, and not even a page of discussion about it here?

by the way canon works in Mass Effect it should be prior ME2's suicide mission

from the description it sounds like the sotry about how she found the evindence against Saren, ad the London image could just be artistical setup for ME3

If it is the story from before ME1, I hope at least she's in the ME2 suit like the covers. I know she wasn't wearing it then, but tell that to the Dark Horse people who made the ME1 recap comic from the beginning of the PS3 ME1, in that whole thing she wore the ME2 suit. I know it contradicts pre established canon, but I don't care, I was never fond of the ME1 suit for reasons previously stated.

What's lazy about it? Sure it's not in minute detail but it's still pretty damn good.

Though, I guess since you're such a amazing professional comic book artist you should know. (sarcasm)
