I agree. If Tali was or is bi in ME3 it really wouldn't be that unrealistic. The groundwork for the relationship is there as either Shepard, they simply need a dialog to explain why Tali held back her feelings from Female Shepard in ME2, which isn't impossible to do.


If we're being incredibly technical, than Tali was designed to be a Love Interest in ME1, and then in the middle of the game's creation that development met the cutting room floor, due to limited resources and I believe (and I paraphrase, but from what was a quote of Casey Hudson) "We didn't think people would want to romance someone with chicken feet."

I've always felt that this cut in content was the most likely reason that Tali feels like a walking Quarian codex in ME1. It's two pieces of a puzzle that fit together.

Just to clear the air, I'm not homophobic. I'd like it more if Tali were to be solely for Maleshep, I don't have an arsenal of logic to back up why I feel that way but that's just how it is lol. Femshep can have Jack, Miranda and Liara but Tali is just my favorite character and I don't play as Femshep.

And that what kills me, cutting off options to other people who love the character known as tali, but cannot because they play femshep. Sure toss some other characters they may or may not care about, but restrict them because you do not play as a femshep.

You are of course free to your opinion, but personally anything that restricts choice, a mandate Mass Effect, nay, bioware has built itself upon is just, in my opinion, stinks.

With that logic we might as well have not gotten tali anyways, as there are plenty of people who dislike her, and would have rathered someone else become a love interest, and honestly since there are thousands of other talimancer's out there who make tali there "waifu" the notion that having more people being able to romance tali would make her any less "your's" is silly.

More like what got inside her suit at adolescence, and was stuck there for a decade+. Lacking physical contact for that long, in a species that seems similar enough to humans that they probably evolved with the same basic desire for physical contact, would be excruciatingly frustrating at times. Tali telegraphed this with her aggravated lament on the Alarei about not being able to kiss, nor hold a flower, inhale its fragrance. Seems perfectly normal that she'd want to go au naturale with the object of her desire if she could do it safely- the same person that she was smitten with back in ME1, who died, came back, and revealed a mutual interest in her against all her expectations. That's a looooot of buildup (which makes me even more glad she wasn't a LI in the first game).

And for the record, she says "I need to feel your skin against mine". =P

Yeah that's what I was thinking, the explication in LotSB was good and makes sense, it needs just a few tweaks and there we go.

If you don't play as Femshep, what's the big deal ? your Dudeshep will still be able to get Tali no matter what
(And besides I don't want Miri or Jack for Femshep, I want Tali, because it's also one of my favourite charcters)

For anyone who has read the leaked script.. I dont want any spoilers, but just an opinion.
Did you like the tali romance in 3? Was it satisfying? Was just reading the garrus thread and noticed how many people loved the romance in 3. Got a lil jealous 
So, without spoiling anything.. Did you like it?

Thane is for Femshep only.

One of my problems with there being no gender specific LIs is that it makes the game more unrealistic since EVERY member of the team just so happens to be bisexual.

If you don't understand, it's because not every love interest is going to turn out to have been bi all along in ME3. In the end who Mshep gets and who Femshep gets is Bioware's perogative. It's not a matter of being unfair to Femshep players, or anything like that. Bioware decided to stick with Tali and Garrus being straight in this last game. It wasn't impossible, but it's also not the direction they had to go either.


Also, Tali playing with Shepard's ears, d'awww..
