No biological barrier? The worst that can happen with a Levo species for Tali is an allergic reaction. Turians actually have real dextro-amino diseases that her immune system is even less prepared for than that. It's the most risky of the cross-species relationships a quarian could have.

That's why Fleet and Flotilla is a classic drama, or something.

Besides, Tali and Garrus are nothing but rude and abrasive to each other in ME1 and ME2. If that's all that you have to go on, then they don't really fit together at all. It's only ME3 chatter and developments that make it work, in some way- but not as well as Shepard/Tali for sure.

K, just did my second playthrough. In the final mission thane died becouse I didn't upgrade the cannons, and marinda died for not being loyal. Other than that, It went pretty smoove.

Dr. Michel does buy Garrus a box of dextro chocolates but I don't think it goes any further in the script.

Garrus is the only squadmate with a Plan C, just in case Femshep and Tali don't work out *glasses* aww yeah.

It seems more random and fan-servicy, but what isn't when it comes to these two, I guess? Maybe it's because  I don't believe in "opposites attract" or "can't help who you fall in love with," but that's a whole 'nother philosophical debate.  I would much rather Tali had hooked up with Reegar, as I feel they are far and away better couple material than Tali/Garrus, who only ever shared scathing and, yes, abrasive jabs and insults.  Buuuut that's just me.

Man, the wait is killing me for this game. Now I am currently in a state of fear that there will be no happy ending (Shepard surviving and getting a happy ending living with Tali) Without spoiling any details, will I be disappointed or not?

It's not as big of a deal breaker post ME3 development, because they're still friends at the end of the game in the absence of romance. And I'd prefer it stay that way, myself. There's not enough just plain friendship between henchmen in Bioware games, they always try for drama instead.

Although none of my Shepards have romanced Tali, I love the character and hope that in my games she would find a mate in Reegar ... Garrus should hook up with a nice turian female.

Tali & Garrus together would just be a weird thing to me. But we will see what happens in ME3.

Well, the script that was leaked is still unfinished, so undoubtedly some things have changed.  But...there is a gamut of possible endings and some require a little more work and the right pieces falling into place than others do.

Bioware doesn't disappoint. There's usually a happier ending, but either at a cost, or you're going to have to work for it.

I'm thinking I don't expect to get that super awesome ending on my first playthrough unless I've got the strategy guide by my side and the right save file to import, lol

That gives me hope. Heck, I am perfectly okay with my first few playthroughs getting sad or bad endings, as long as there is a possibility to get a happy ending (I want to have to work for it). I just am scared that there won't be that option

Well considering the amount of playthroughs I have between 1 and 2, working for it doesn't seem to be a issue. I'm going through 2 now just for hell of it.(needed to put skyrim down for a while) The anticipation is killing me! I took a week of vacation off work just for 3 when it releases lol.
