The way I see, the Geth will evolve through "errors" much like any biological species would. Species evolve through mutation, Geth "evolve" through error.

Or at least thats how I see it, without knowing how the Geth were designed its all guesswork. As mentioned before if the Geth were programmed with Binary, they would not be able to actually feel emotion, let alone sapient.

What do you think mutations are?  Genetic errors.  Occasionally the results become beneficial in the Natural Selection scheme of things.  Most of the times it's not.

Actually that was the point I was trying to make mate.

However it is different within artificial creations. Biological species have both "hardware" and "software" that can be changed through mutation. However Geth are purely software. Errors in their software would have much different and immediate effect. Plus said Geth would not have to reproduce for said changes to happen, and in fact one geth changing has the potential to change all geth.

I would say if the quarians used Rael's work against the geth, then that would be provocation enough.

Maybe, but then Rael's experiments, just that they existed, may be provocation enough.

I don't get that impression from Legion. I know he was about to send information about the Migrant Fleet to the geth. But I think that is for defensive purposes than attacking them. But who knows? It seems there will be a geth vs quarians conflict. And even Tali was horrified by Rael's experiments on the geth.

Just a note, Tali was horrified because the experiments meant activating the Geth within the flotilla.

You'd think she'd be a lot more disgusted with Shepard then if he brought Legion on board.

If this were a REAL RPG bringing Legion to the fleet would get Tali exiled and Shepard labeled an enemy of the Migrant Fleet.

Indeed, you have no idea how dissapointed I was that I could not talk to Tali about legion... Or hell, even about EDI!

The lack of Tali/Legion and Tali/EDI interaction (and also Tali/Cerberus interaction) is a big flaw in the game. (well not a huge one, but an annoying one)

It's why I've always wished we recruited her on Freedom's Progress. Seeing her interact with Cerbers in the early part of the story where Shepard is still getting settled in would have been interesting.

Come to think of it, Miranda or Jacob should have had some dialogue during the Flotilla as well. I can get that the Quarians accept the cerberus ship due to the pass phrase Tali gives... (Even though they were betrayed by another Quarian who worked with cerberus... Maybe they trust Tali? No then the trial wouldn't have been so...) but letting cerberus personnel on board without so much as a howdy do is once again disappointing.

I would have liked to see Garrus try to comfort Tali during her LM. Maybe stepping in if you don't take the Paragon interrupt and speaking in her defense if you choose to rally the crowd.

Garrus' relationship with his father was shaky at best. Now that he went to Omega, it's practically destroyed. I took him along to support her by being there, and I figured he felt it ingenious, fake to try to say something uplifting when he never had a relationship with his father like she had. He just couldn't say anything to her.

Anyone know of any other good Tali FF? FsD's Creation of Good Memories & it's extension, uhm... Morning Breeze or something... That he's working on are great, Adamo is gigantic (140,000 words) and perhaps the best one, because it incorporates so much of what I (and I think most Tali fans) wished was in the game. Also read Beneath the Veil, though it's sadder and, like Adamo (though Adamo doesn't feel *incomplete*, so much), is unfinished.

Gah, I hate it when stories end so soon. Too used to reading trilogies and the like, and these are more interesting than the standard decent trilogy, which I'm still sad to finish after 1000+ fine-print pages...

You know I think when people say Tali was the weakest member of the main cast in ME1 (as in developed the least) I agree... Though in my case she was just interesting enough that I wanted more. My first playthroughs I didn't really use her much. However I started getting her curious and taking her on missions and listening to her in the elevators. That's how I discovered her sense of humor.

It was also interesting to see her justifications for various moral decisions. She (and Garrus) were more interesting than the others because they were a little more unpredictable.

Somebody mod the game so Tali can do the strip tease dance-thing.
Please?

Sorry, but that's not possible.

Whay would that be? I was under the impression that all the humanoids shared the same set-up.

From what I've heard it's only possible to replace Shepard's model.

Here's to hoping we finally get to see some of those quarian dancers in ME3. I can't believe ME2 took us to the Migrant Fleet and we didn't get to visit even one club.

Quarian dance, now that concept have potential. If the artists got artistic freedom to create something new and different it could be a true wow moment. But no more of that very unsexy stripper dancing please...

I had always assumed that Quarian dancers were respected because their forms of dancing weren't sexualised and are difficult to master. It seems likely to me that Quarian forms of dancing would have a focus on being artistic.

Or maybe they just prefer ballroom dancing over poll/strip/club dancing because it's more fun. Posted Image
