What does Shepard actually say if you do that?

Here's a video on YouTube. That will be better than me trying to remember it line for line.

Ah, thanks. So essentially it is a lot like the paragon option, but with some more Quarian support and less logical arguments by Shepard. Either way works I suppose.

No meta-gaming needed. Just talk to Kal, Gerrel, Shala, and Veetor.

And how exactly would Shepard know what they were going to say before they said it? They could easily have said "Leave." You're meta-gaming and you apparently don't even know it, how quaint.

This was never really a debate, just you venting your anger about a virtual character.

I have other, far more important things to do right now. So, I'll leave you to your venting. Hope it's at least somewhat therapeutic for you :).

That's what it seems like, yes. I have only used that option once or twice. I generally have the Paragon/Renegade points required.

It isn't as if she's going around sleeping with everything that moves.
It's just Shepard (and Garrus, in ME3), whom she deeply trusts.

It's pretty irresponsible to risk the mission for a fling, though.

You think she ever screws her own kind? She should try it sometime.

He wouldn't, but I'm assuming that your Shepard, like mine, talks to everybody before he leaves.

If Tali and Shepard just storm out of there then maybe she has a little more reason to be upset (but only a little more.)

Tali is hardly selfish. If she was, she wouldn't object to the romance at first.

In some alternate universe that is identical to Mass Effect there is an extra-net show set on Earth in the begining of the 21st century. Tali loves it and she streams it every night. Her dream partner, her husbandu, is a young man who looks and acts exactly like you. He is you, only that universe he is a fictional character.

Tali loves you all the same, SWM.

She's also still an immature and selfish little girl who needs to grow up.

Let's hope she does that in ME3. (and she actually might, sort of)

A guy posted this on the old ME1&2 Tali forum. I have reposted it here, because it is a music video that he made about Tali, and it is really good!

If this is the wrong place to post this, I apologize.  If not, please check it out!  Thanks!!

It's as good as. Everyone you pass in the hallways afterwards proclaim their dislike/dismay for Tali. Even the captain of the Rayya tells her to leave without so much as a "is it true...?"

Yeah, and a selfish harlot like Tali probably doesn't consider that Shala, Kal, and Veetor, and probably not EVERY quarian has turned on her. Or at the very least she recognizes that she caused this. She was the one who wanted responsibility, so she has no right to pissed at everyone over it.

She begged Shepard to let his happen.

Like I said before she needs to grow up. I feel worse for Prazza by the day.

Selfish? Harlot? Feel bad for Prazza??

LOOLLZ

I disagree with your more by the word.

She seems to get over the evidence being revealed (if Shepard did it) and even says that Shepard was right to do it.

I think that and other things just show that she isn't *that* selfless.
Actually, I think the contrast between acting or intending to be selfless yet still doing these personally motivated things adds that extra layer to her character. As a whole she's "selfless" in core or principle, but it's not the whole story.
I also don't think that selfishness is necessarily a bad thing.

Not saying that it is a bad thing, since being dediated to other things that much will pretty much result in personal pain sooner or later, but she's not nearly as selfish as some people make out to be.

She is easily one of the most selfless characters in the known Mass Effect cast.
Luckily BioWare is smart enough to give them all flaws, Tali has her moments of selfishness like they all do - and those are few and far between. I don't see the problem.

They are all selfish at times. Tali's moments of selfishness are mild in comparison.

I don't think so, either. As you say, it's just more to her character.

> Willingly gives Shepard/Anderson/Udina the data that proves Saren is a traitor for no personal gain of her own.

> Works on the Normandy SR1 so hard that the other engineers and technicians feel that they're being upstaged. The Normandy. A ship that is not part of the Flotilla. And she's helping out.

> Again works on the Normandy SR2, working her ass off and installing upgrades.

> Repeatedly risks her life to help Shepard in battle, all the while he's working for a 'terrorist' organisation. Knowing that in doing so, her reputation may be soiled.

> Is willing to work with Legion and put her personal feelings aside.

> May willingly almost roast herself to death crawling through the vents in the Collector ship, in order to stop the Collectors (which has no bearing on her own life/the lives of the Quarians - she could have said "No, this is Humanity's problem" and walked away. But she stayed and once again risked her life for others).

> Is then called selfish.

..what?

Sorry, all!  I didn't realize that the ME1&2 Tali thread was 'moldy' when I posted this yesterday.

As fellow Tali fans, I'm sure you'll really get a kick out of my parody video.  Please, check it out:

Lol, people talking about selfish. Everyone is selfish. Everything we do in our life can be counted as selfish. So if Tali is selfish then so what? Also why are people using selfish as a bad term? Being selfish can also be a good thing.

She is hardly the beacon of goodness that you might want to portray her as. In ME1 she was very neutral. She only comes across as being especially nice in ME2 because she is the least dirty person on a ship populated by criminals, "terrorists", religous fanatics, assassins, mercenaries, lunatics, a vigilante, a thief, and a zombie.

I might give Tali (as a character) credit for her selfishness if somebody other than me pointed out. Meaning: somebody in Mass Effect should call her on it. (and her hypocrisy too in a certain scene in ME3)

Then you could say she is a good and well rounded character.

Whoa, this thread is still alive and running... I remember when I used to come on these boards every day when I was totally into ME2... how long has it been? A year or so?

I still have my save file, right out of the Arrival (it survived 2 formats and a fatal power failure). Sometimes I still check in on Tali, even though I'm not expecting anything different in the script.

Can't bother to read the whole thread but I can assume she'll be in the third installment... any other news? :P
