Then again, siding with either side is pretty dumb when you can have both.

Yeah but you never know. The first playthrough is always the one with the most mistakes.

Some of us have principals and in any case, siding with the right side can still get you both.

Ah xen, the voice of a goddess that one.

Now I haven't read the script, so don't go correcting me here (or getting too detailed without greying out the text), but I feel its a shame that bioware is seemingly building her up to be a full villain here. I don't agree with everything she says, but I can definitely see where xen was coming from and if her method of ending the war was viable I would not be against her and might have actually helped her.

I mean we'll find out march 6-7 of course but I hope she gets something a bit more complicated than the mad scientist defeated by hubris or hoist by her own petard. Something with a little more meat you know?

I'm fine with her being a villain. I mean just because she has nice ideas doesn't mean she can't also be a megalomaniac. However, what irks me is that Bioware wouldn't let me actually take her side.

If they did that she could still be a villain but it'd make her betrayal all the sweeter.

That said, I don't see why she MUST be one either. I mean, in principal. She could just be someone devoted to her people who wants to see them propser.

However it was pretty clear from ME2 that she had some grand plans for them. (not that those plans are necessarily villainous, but I do sense conflict should she be triumphant). Could even be a force for good in a manner of speaking.

What? Even when you negotiate peace between both sides it ends up in sad tears??

Tears of sorrow and joy are possible. Some endings may bring only tears of joy, while some only tears of sorrow.

Look at Tali. It's bound to happen.

Giddy, nerdy, over-eager schoolgirl gets disappointed and BAM! She becomes the nightmare of your life.

Well, I haven't read the script in a long time so I can't be completely sure, but I'm pretty sure she seems to [highlight for possible spoilers] not really be doing anything with the Geth. In fact, she's on the citadel doing something with the keepers. She makes a pistol that is basically a mini arc-projector (which you can get). I think the endings to the quest involve you either killing her or her being arrested and basically being taken to an insane asylum.

Not 100% sure on that though. I remember lines from her being on the fleet, so there may be something with her during the Q/G conflict, after which she goes to the Citadel.

[/spoilers]

Xen ends up creating a virus that kills a number of geth - if you don't kill her. It doesn't make peace impossible, but it does make the geth less of a war asset.

I didn't like her anyways. I will enjoy killing her.

I would report you, Spartanburger, but I don't like Chris Priestly enough to help him with his job.

So, I'm just gonna say, I don't believe Xen will ever go crazy. She may do something other people find questionable, but I have faith that her motives will be sensible ones.

Report for what exactly?
If I remember the script correctly, she only does it because of Shepard and co's interference.

And, as Collider posted, it may not even be the correct 'script' (the script did have alternate versions).

And her motives are just, I just don't like her methods.

I like xen. Don't agree with some opinions, but some of mankinds brightest minds were bat **** crazy. Unless she attempts something that endangers the fleet or humanity I'd still have a drink with her. The way I see it she believes her actions will help her people, but as one said "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" so we shall see.

Well, I don't know how it took me so long to come across it, but I just found the multiplayer trailer. Can't wait to be a Turian/Quarian and beat the crap out of Asari and Turian husks.

I get the impression that it's at the middle of the game at earliest.

I'll surely make peace in my canon run and I might try destroying the Geth later. I can never destroy the Quarians though. Just reading that part in the script made me sad.:crying:
