I don't really get the other explanations for it. I mean, an Omni-tool used to be every tool short of something to bludgeon/stab with. Well, not anymore, but it used to be!

It does seem something odd to add so late to the series. As an Infiltrator player I avoided getting up close anyways except fo the times i went for my cloaked SMG death to take out stragglers or enemies in small places. But you know how EA loves their Call of Duty fan base, figures they would try to fit in fist fights.

Still if anyone of importance actually reads these threads it would be interesting to see if squadmates get their own special version. Quarians are supposed to be good at close combat aren't they?

I love Tali's outfits in ME2, but I'm very curious as to whether she'll get a re-design and where they'll go with that.

Not necessarily naturally good at it.  It's probably just what they train for, since spaces are tight on the Flotilla.

Awesome new thread. As I mentioned before, if Tali does get a re-design, it should be (or similar to) her Texmod outfit with the glowing parts. The one that Bioware used for the new Tali shirt.

I guess Tali too will have the Omni-Blade as standard melee weapon. But seeying her using dat knife at least once would be nice.

She already has the tight fitting suit, she just has other things outside it so it's not all in your face like Ashley/Miranda's.

Also I want a proper armoured suit for her, not light armour, but proper armour.
She needs that protection when using her shotgun at close range.

I wouldn't mind her having mixed levels of armours, although I do like her current look. "Quite snug in all the right places."

Seriously now. More outfit variety is always welcome, and some kind of heavy covered suit, for an extra protection both makes sense and it would give a chance to see her with a different outfit without totally change her normal appearence.

I approve of this message.

Some one Brought up a good point, Mass effect has gotten to big to make everyone happy, ME2 opens up allot of possibility and no matter what some people will get cut, And Sadly I agree they will Thane, Jack, Jacob, Wrex, Grunt ((mabye)), Are just a few I sadly see getting cut from major roles, But people say the same over Tali and garrus but the fact is these are the only two character who been in all 3 so now to cut there story short, be a slap in the face of everyone LI fan or not.

Considering that in the demo Mordin is back for at least some mission dialogue, and Wrex is waiting for you to deliver his fertile female, you'll probably get dialogue with all of the previous (living) squadmates (I think Thane will be spared, though it makes more story sense if he were dead by now; A scene with Kolyat would be better).

Issue is one of the devlopers has said that he wouldn't put "permanent" as the correct term if I remember right.

Well, Tali's going to be as permanent as anyone will be, and I guess we'll have to be happy with that. Although, as somebody mentioned in the Tali thread in the ME2 section, it might be optional to leave her with the Flotilla for improved endings, etc. (Which, of course, nobody here would ).
