Maybe you will, maybe you won't.
But if you try to dump her because she's not pretty enough for you, remember... she's got a shotgun.

As far as we know, she is straight.Major League wrote...

However, given what they (seem) to be doing with the VS, they might end up making her newly romanceable and open her up to female Shepard anyway.

They won't, considering that her ME3 romance requires you to have started the Shepard/Tali romance in ME2 (meaning that you can't start a new romance with the character in ME3).Collider wrote...
Her dialog in the script is manshep specific.

EDIT: for reference, here's some data extracted from the ME3 demo that may shed some light:
(Modifier=TaliRomanced, PlotIDSet=(3926), PlotInts=((ID=272,V=5)),PlotCond=((C=235,T=777)))
This is a modifier data that determines whether or not you romanced Tali in ME2 (pay attention to the underlined text).
And this is data on the ME3 romance:
(Modifier=TaliTrueLove, PlotIDSet=(19726),PlotIDClear=(19731,19722,19724,19723,19725,19835,19838), PlotInts=((ID=272,V=5)))
Note that it requires the underlined data from ME2 in order for the ME3 romance to activate in the game.
(this "ME2 data" endline modifier only exists for the ME3 romances of Tali and Garrus, which I'm taking as meaning that yes, you need to have romanced those two characters in ME2 in order to continue a romance with them in ME3)

Since nobody else commented on it: that is an *awesome* picture and quote combination. Whoever made that, my (figurative) hat is off to them.

Indeed it does. Good to finally have some form of confirmation one way or the other.Collider wrote...
Thanks for that. That seems to settle it.

Sounds like a lot of newcomers are going to see Tali x Garrus play out then. Hope that doesn't discourage said players from trying out either of their romance paths if they decide to experience the whole trilogy (or 2/3 or it at least).

But god I hate the Ashley and Liara mances. I'd never end up romancing anyone in a blank ME3 playthrough, lol. Just like ME1.

I believe Tali comments on Cortez in the script, which is a nice acknowledgement.

Tali x Garrus just seems so weird and wrong. Not just Tali and Garrus either, pairing up any squad mate with another squad mate seems like a strange move. I've seen the banter, and if it plays as awkward as it reads, then I'll be really disappointed. The dialogue between Tali and Garrus reads like a poorly written fanfiction, especially towards the end. I was hoping it was fake the first time I read it; too bad it isn't.
Not like it really matters for me. I almost always ended up romancing Tali, even on playthroughs where I was determined to get somebody else; somehow I always ended up down in engineering talking to my favorite quarian! My femshep did Garrus, and I have one male Shepard who went with Liara since ME1.
So basically, I'll only have to endure the akwardness of a Tali x Garrus relationship once, assuming neither one dies somewhere along the lines.

I remember being annoyed at the Fenris and Isabela banter in DA2 in which the sex they had was more or less announced and paraded.

Yeah I wasn't fond of that pairing either.Collider wrote...
One banter conversation seems pretty endurable.

Is Tali still confirmed as a primary squadmate, or is she just a one-mission cameo?
Confirmed, although the recruitment order from what we know of the storyline does put her off until last, unfortunately.
Saving the best, right?

There is only so long one can praise the quarian pounce, or dem hips, or the voice, etc until you get tired of hearing the same thing looped all together. At least a little negativity breaks up the monotony.
