I meant EVE of course, sorry. Isn't EDI "transformed" into EVE/EVA. It doesn't matter much I guess. Anyway, yes Tali isn't superwoman, but Mass Effect is also just fiction and fantasy. Look at the M-ending, for instance. So, maybe they survive somehow.WizenSlinky0 wrote...

No I didn't missed that. As I said, it's just what people made up, no proof yet. And let's not forget that Tali and EDI are there and they are both tech-specialists. The normandy may also have lots of tools and material to repair the ship etc.
And let's not forget that Mass Effect is finction, it's fantasy, so everything is possible.
Did you forget what EDI is made out of?
Anyway, tech specialists are good with tech...not gods. They have no spare parts. They are on a world that has no intelligent life that would have processed parts.
Tali is good but she isn't that good.

EDI is made of reaper tech. If you apply a weapon that destroys all of the reapers, what do you think happens? Bad things.
If you can head-canon the normandy crash away with just that more power to you. You'll sleep better at night.

Hey, I'm not saying that the Normandy will make it home. All I was saying is that neither Tali nor Garrus need to rot on some planet.

I haven't seen these spoilers, but this sounds like a situation ripe for an epilogue DLC where there can be a rescue/retrieval of ship and people. That would be one way for them to sell DLC for a game meant to be a conclusion to the story.
I would buy it. I would buy it for $20, $30, or $40 if it meant that I could replay the games anytime I want again.
As it stands I won't be able to stomach going through it more than once and won't be able to look at ME1/2 the same again.

I'd hug you but there's a good chance the amount of sheer sadness bubbling under the surface would outright kill you.

Now I love Tali as much as the next person but let me try to put this in a different perspective. When you are writing a story or a series for that matter you will come up with various characters or concepts along the way that people, whether it be a large or small group attatch to, in this case it's Tali. Now to us Tali may be your favorite character of even one of the biggest reasons you play the game, but in the main scope of things she is just one character. Ther story is centralized around Commander Shep, not Tali. She is just a sub-character, and I am not justifying her role in ME3 I am just clarifying. Perhaps at this point in the story her role just isn't as prominent. Some people just need to accept that. Like Ashley in 2, I was pretty bummed about not having her on the crew but I realized as a writer myself that in that point in the story she just didn't fit in as much with the whole Cerberus concept. I am not saying you should be happy or move along, just wait until you get to play the game before bashing the Lead writers.
This isn't just Tali getting screwed it's her and everyone else aboard the normandy. It seems all my decisions up to this point were irrelevant. They could have included a "happy" ending but made it rediculously hard to achieve. That way those of us who want to have a beer with Tali and the others after the war can do so.

Don't worry, that's just what people made up. As long as the Normandy is functional/repairable, they can still fly to nearby planets or even nearby systems and seeking for dextro-food. The mass relays are only required for long distance traveling. Just because the relays blow up doesn't mean the Normandy is stranded and they're doomed to death, that's BS. And even without those relays they can still fly through the whole galaxy, it just takes much longer. Think of the mass relays as some kind of highway. That's all there is to it.MJ5 wrote...
Haven't read the endings but from what I'm getting here, Tali rots on some planet? WTF?
Really, I cannot understand why so many people are whining about this.
They would die of old age long before they got anywhere.

Also, do we now know exactly at what point in the game (timeline wise) Tali is recruited?
Third or fourth to last main quest. About 2/3 through the game I believe.
There's probably more content with her than in ME2 though.
Although apparently alot of the interaction with the squad is handled with auto dialogue much like with Zaeed and Kasumi, but paragon or renegade depending on alignment. Big decisions still get the dialogue wheel apparently, but it doesn't sound like an improvement, and it pretty much screws Renegons and Paragades, and sounds like it
D limit role playing.
