I stand by my opinion that everything we've seen so far (Priestly's thread, Walters' blog post, the CoC update and now this article) are forms of damage control. They know what they did - they just don't want you to know yet.

It's possible that whatever "perfect" NG+ ending is not a movie file, and a cutscene instead.
We'll know soon enough.

But I wouldn't count on it.

If they do a NG+ ending - I believe something so apparently important to fans (a happy ending) should not require two playthroughs.

That's promising, but it could also be just marketing tactics. I still hope the endings in the Space Editions are incomplete/missing and get patched on release.

Well friends, I see that early players' screenshots of the game are slowly starting to make their way online.... and because I know it's only a matter of time before one with Tali's face show up, this is the time in which I'm going dark from the majority of the forums. (I'll still check the General Discussion forum from day to day to see when they post the "From Ashes" DLC trailer, but that's it)

I know it's known, but I've only read about the bink video breathing part. What if he gets up (in-game cutscene now) and somehow the Normandy doesn't get stranded and picks him up?

And the Normandy getting here and there in in-game cutscenes isn't new. So, it's possible.
Of course, it might not happen, but we don't know yet for certain, since the data mining was mostly for the bink videos and not making a 100% EXCELLENT run?

I have looked at the available spoiler information and honestly it doesn't prove much. It is easy to think that it does but it doesn't. Honestly the biggest bits of evidence (actual evidence) are the screen shots. Ok so we have some screen shots, largely taken out of context and in no way imply that these are the only options (or that they conclusively prove what this person claims happens). Even the data mining isn't exactly the most reliable of information, you only get some information with limited context. As has already been said that they were apparently looking at movie files and just based on the last two games, a heck of a lot happens that isn't a premade movie.

It has been said before but all we really know is that we do not know much. These reported endings may be accurate, or not. I think it far more likely that there are more than just three possible endings (or variation of events in those over all endings). That might sound "hopeful" or like a "denialistic" approach so some of you but hey, i'm a scientist and an ex soldier to boot. Both of those careers have taught me that you do not take limited information from questionable sources and run with it.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I've always left open the possibility that there may be more to it than meets the eye. I'm just not going to lose sleep over it, because it's far more likely that the information in the spoilers group is spot-on.

I'm not at all upset at the endings as implied by the spoiler anyways.

Mostly because I understood and agreed with the Theme Mass Effect had been leading up to in the entire series.

People, particularly the young, seem to be too focused on what matters just for them personally. "I want my shep to be with my LI." "I want to have full choice in my ending". All the complaints seem to be about Shepard and the crew, and wanting a good ending specifically for them.

But I don't think the story has ever really been about that. Sure, the stories are about these people and the journey they took. But the goal they worked for, sacraficed for, has never, ever been about them. It's bigger than them, much bigger about them.

Tali once said: "I don't think life is about what you deserve."

Sure, Shep, Tali, whatever LI's and the Crew deserved a better ending. But the story was never about that. It was about what the future they worked toward, not just for themselves, but for everyone. What they left behind for posterity.
