Working for a living will be infinitely more terrifying than the Reapers. For you guys.

I'll add:If I have left anything out guys, feel free to correct me.
The whole food and Tali starving to death thing is fan speculation and the endings themselves aren't presented that way.
In addition, I doubt Tali is actually visibly present during the earth battle if you don't recruit her.
So not recruiting her is just nice for your imagination and fanfiction, I guess.
My thanks to everyone for the additional information and clarification. However, I'm going to side with Collider on this one. The idea of Tali dying because you happened to take her on the wrong mission and not having *anyway* to save her *while* stranded makes absolutely no sense. Yes, one could argue that, from a narrative perspective, it's BioWare trying for that "Tragic/Made a bad call" approach. However that's not BioWare's style. They always give you the option to have your cake and eat it too. In other words, there *has* to be a way to save Tali on the "Gilligan's Island" planet.
They know how much the fans love Tali; she's easily the most popular character next to Liara. Casey Hudson wouldn't allow something with that much possible backlash into the game, regardless of how "Artistic" the ME writing team might see it. I mean, for many, it wouldn't be some beautiful Shakespearean tragedy, it would simply ruin the game. Given the negative views of DA2's story approach, I think it's safe to say they aren't looking to repeat the same mistakes this time around, i.e. giving you a giant middle finger/bewildering ending.
Aside from ME3 having a ton of different endings depending on if you gather all War Resources, I would bet Dollars to Pesos Tali will not be a casualty as long you gather everything and everyone along the way. Bottomline: Having Tali die simply because you took her on the wrong mission just doesn't make sense.

So anyone going to leave Tali with the Migrant fleet so she can be with Shepard after ME3?
Seems to be the only way to get make it possible. I'll do the full romance in my first playthrough, then leave her there for the Game Plus one. Also Garrus on Palaven.
Way to make me take apart Team Dextro, BioWare. :-/

He didn't just allow it into the game - he allowed the game with it in it to be shipped.
Casey's not on your side, buddy.

Dude, this entire thing with her dying is speculation based on the assumptions of a possible Troll who didn't even play the game. I've read the leaks, all of them, there is *nothing* that indicates Tali dies when stranded. It's a few descriptive lines indicating that "They're Stranded." That's pretty much it. People are just taking Trollish comments at face value. As previously stated, Casey wouldn't screw over Tali or Garrus fans, it's just not in the game's best interest. It has nothing to do with him being on or not being on anyone's side. It's simple logic.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sure that if you're an overly dramatic RP'er and you want some Shakespearean tradegy in your playthrough ME3 will oblige, but there isn't a darn thing in the leak that indicates Tali + Isolated Planet = Death with no options to save her *other* then leaving her back with the Flotilla. And even though *some* of the endings for the game are chalk full of "R.I.P." Character moments, there are also several Epic Win endings, including the one Super Mega Happy ending that results if you actually get all allies and gather all War Resources; which is possible, just insanely time consuming.

But don't get me wrong, I really don't see any reason to be disappointed. If you do everything right and do the correct choices, Tali will be alive for the whole game even at the end. Again, if you get everything right and gather lots of war assets, you will see Joker, Tali/Garrus, Liara mayby others stepping out of the Normandy alive. The game leaves it pretty much open to your imagination what happens after that. Although some people extrapolate that Tali/Garrus are doomed to death as the planet doesn't seem to have any dextro-food, although there's no hint or evidence to that. So yes, there're many "fans" over-analysing this stuff.
Personally, I'm looking forward to this game. I will recruit Tali and all others in every playthrough no matter what. I want to enjoy the conversations, the romances, the atmosphere and all there is to it. ME3 will be emotional, it will be dramatic and the ending(s) will be very satisfying. Just don't expect a cliché Disney ending and you'll be fine.

Well, the "ton of different endings" turn out to be just 3 endings with some variations. At the very end, the mass relays explode and the Normandy gets stranded on some distant alien planet, regardless of what ending you choose finally. This has been stated by 3 sources. There're also some leaked screenshots and movies on youtube already. So, it's pretty much confirmed.

From what I've read and watched the "Crash" ending is just one of the endings, not *the* ending. As you stated, if one gathers all allies and War Resources it effects the ending you get. From what I've seen you can pretty much avoid the whole, "They're stranded forever. Oh-whatever-shall-happen-to-them?" by just getting everything you possibly can to defeat the Reapers. Unlike other folks I don't want to *completely* spoil the game so I'll just say there is an ending that's a hell of a lot less sombre, to say the least.

The Normandy crash is present in every ending. Depending on the amount of assets you have, the crew may or may not survive the crash.

There's actually a really fantastic breakdown of the endings depending on your EMS Points (War Resources) that's starting to float around forums over on The Escapist, IGN, Kotaku, and elsewhere. I don't want to get banned so I won't post the link but it essentially clarifies what people are upset about. Now, there are somethings I don't like, particularly a Flashback sequence that apparently has a really stupid Tali related glitch that I won't go into detail on, and the endings smack of a massive DLC or Expansion that will allow you to pick the "True" ending in a kind of Epilogue; but, for the most part, there is a Paragon Ending where everyone survives, including Shepard. It just requires an *ungodly* amount of War Resources. Something like 5000 EMS. Hopefully you can gather it in-game because if I have to play that frakking Multiplayer to get it, so help me...

Yeah. Sadly, the Crash ending is confirmed. So...me eating crow. However what's not confirmed is Tali or Garrus dying. As I posted previously there's this fantastic Ending Summary based on EMS points that Highlights what endings you get. While there is, technically, no Super Happy Ending, there is an "Everyone Survives" Paragon Ending, but it's still kind of Bittersweet and it smacks of a big resolve DLC.
