That makes no difference when it comes to subject of reviving dead brain cells and recovering memories. Finding a nearby planet or moon with dextro food on it makes more sense to me.ZenJestr wrote...

Youa re completely missing the point. They did something that amde no sense and is seemingly impossible,
They didn't pull it out of thin-air though and as long as you can find some way to explain them having a body to recover it isn't THAT implausible.
You are saying "ME universe brought a dead person back to life; anything can happen"
We are saying "that took two years, advanced technology, hundreds of highly trained scientists, doctors, and engineers, and near infinite resources to cheat nature"
You're asking for something VERY similar to happen again, but in two weeks time.
It is impossible. It's literally like asking for them to build a fully functioning Mass Relay using the Normandy's drive core. In two days....with no element zero.

I don't think that this movie will be any good at all. They need to increase the quality of the story. The story we have now may work in a game but not in a movie.Saphra Deden wrote...
I think if anything they'd give Tali a much smaller role in a film if they didn't just cut her out completely.

Garrus doesn't really offer anything to the story. Tali at least has that relevant background with the geth.jtav wrote...
To be brutally honest, I'd cut her and just have Garrus have the evidence. We only have two hours and the geth/quarian subplot is actually fairly extraneous in that context. No time for subplots. A TV series would be different.

I agree.

Rewrite him as Saren's brother or former comrade or something. Or the brother of Nihlus.

Unlikely but by no means impossible. I have no problem really imagining that this is the case and that the Kodiak was in working order after the crash.
I was arguing against Tali finding some way to survive on the planet without ever being able to leave it. If she can leave it then sure, imagine whatever you want.

True. And quite frankly, the only reason Garrus is important is because Kaiden is almost certainly the one whom they would have die over Ashley, and thus Shepard would need a right-hand man, and a guy-friend.jtav wrote...

Quite frankly, Wrex isn't hugely important either. Arguably moreso then Tali, but they could remove him in order to streamline the movie process.
Actually, I could see it going one of two ways. Depending on whom they play up as the LI in the first movie, Ashley or Liara. If Ashley is the LI, then Kaiden will have to be the one whom dies, which makes Garrus much more important, thus allowing them to focus more on him and cut out Tali and possibly Wrex.
If Liara is the LI, then Ash becomes superfluous because she is not all that interesting and doesn't really have anything that she does other then being a potential LI. She can either die or just be cut entirely. Garrus then become much more of a side character with Kaiden as Shepard's buddy, and Tali has much more room to be included.
Quite frankly I'm not fond of either of them, but if I have to put up with Liara to allow Tali access, I'm willing to do that. I know that if a second movie is made Miranda has about a 95% shot at being the LI just because it's the easy choice, but I can still dream of a ME movie where Tali is the LI...after all, hope springs eternal!

Ashley and Liara would both be love interests, but Ashley would die on Virmire.
Wrex I think they'd keep around just because the confrontation with him is good.

Honestly, it's Tali's alienness that keeps her out. Take the exact same character but make her human, and she would be a much bigger contender for a potenial LI and thus being included as a major character. Unfortunately, movies attract a much wider crowd then games, including family groups and highly-traditional people who would look at a human falling in love with an alien as disgusting, no matter how well written. Liara might get away with it, being so human in appearance, but no quarian or turian would get the same pass.
Not that I have any problem with those sort of highly-tranditional people. I know a few of them and they are some of the best people whom I know, but I disagree with that notion in this case. Quite frankly, if the Mass Relays were discovered tomorrow and we entered this entire alien world, I don't think that the species barrier would effect me, if I found someone whom I genuinely cared for.

well if they make her true to her characcter then its too late. Anyway, Ash Sroka already said she would love to play Tali in the movie, either just doing her voice or not.Saphra Deden wrote...
Tali may be a classic heroine, but she's also an alien and not merely just one with face paint. She's not gonna be a love interest and I'd be shocked if she were portrayed as having any kind of sex appeal.

They are under nobligation to stay true to her character or even to stay true to the Mass Effect universe.

A lot of things would be nice but life is not nice.
I'd be surprised if the quarians ever featured heavily in the film series (if there is one). Hell, they might not even still be a living species. They could easily rewrite that bit of lore so that all the quarians were wiped out.
That said, it would be really cool to see some quarians with a budget. You know, where each quarian has a unique outfit and everything.

I think it's lame that Tali's outfit in ME3 is identical to her ME2 outfit. Lazy, Bioware, very lazy. They also should have given the admirals unique outfits.
Saw a deviant art drawing of that once.

The other admirals didn't get special admiral outfits. Tali's is unique compared to the other quarians, anyway.
