Supposedly she gives you a picture that is at least partially obscured by lens flare. I haven't heard if you can get a good idea of what her face looks like or not...

Yeah I headcannon a lot of crap too but I don't use it to justify my arguments.

Not everyone is as logical as you are.

Can you cite that? I've heard the same but can't find any leaks.

Not to mention what few interactions we've seen have at most amounted to them tolerating each other but hardly even being friends.

Now this I disagree with. There is at least one decent interaction between Garrus and Tali in ME2 that can easily be interpreted, at least on Garrus' end, as friendly teasing, which is only a couple steps away from flirting. It's when you take them both to the Citadel, and Garrus starts talking about what they talked about in their elevator rides in ME1.

Her reaction implies that she is not amused you are right about that, but what Garrus was doing can be interpreted a few different ways.

I just want to point out, I know many a woman who, on the outside, would seem to have found a guy downright petulant and end up dating them not even weeks later. Actually, that's where 90 percent of my (rare) success has come from. It's not exactly rare. Actually, it's expected.

I'm not big into the whole "shipping" thing but I do think that Reegar is a better choice, in the continuity of the game. Admiral or not, she's pretty much a common, down-to-earth girl otherwise, and Kal is more or less the most down-to-earth guy in the entire Fleet. He's not one for politics, and he might do what he's told, but he fights to the death for whatever cause he has to fight for. He's no Shepard, but he did hold out against an entire company of geth by himself just to protect Tali. Originally it's just because it's his job, but he does seem to care for her, in a way. It wouldn't be contrived to step that up a bit.

Annnd this leads me to the conlcusion that
you just hate Garrus and will make any statment and excuse to deflect
your personal prefrence against the character and any possibility of a
romance between he and Tali.

Ok, I'm done.

Uh,
no. He's one of my favorites, but that doesn't mean I think he's a
perfect person and it certain doesn't mean I think him being written
into a romance with Tali is a good idea. Nor would I necessarily want to
even be his friend in real-life.

I don't care who Garrus gets
it on with, including if he gets it on with Tali, but unless copious
amounts of alcohol are involved I'm calling bull**** on this one.

People do that when they are friends, poke each others buttons, laugh about the past, say things that are purposefully intended to annoy each other but in a way that is more joshing then malicious.

Garrus isn't insecure, he's just has a sharp sense of sarcasm and wit.

I've had friends like that in the past and I have co-workers like that now. They're ****s and not the kind of people you like to be around. You put up with them with them, you don't like them.

It's a shame that you're so emotionally sensitive. Surprising from someone who was so willing to antagonize the other Talimancers here with those earlier depictions of what Garrus would be forced to do if they were stranded on a planet with no dextro-food.

I also had a friend who was like that. My best friend for a long time until I had to move out of state. Garrus reminds me a whole lot of him, pushing my buttons and joking both with me and about me, but never in a manner that was mean and always knowing when not to push it too far.

My point is, being like that doens't make you a jerk. If you have had bad experiences with people who take it too far, I am sorry, but Garrus is a good person, and is definately the kind of person who would make a good friend.

Does that mean he's right for Tali? Arguable, and in my opinion, certainly not over Shepard. Personally, I don't like her having an alternate romance at all, because it seems to cheapen her potential romance with Shepard. It's like saying, "well, Shepard doens't love me, but hey, Garrus/Kal/whoever will make a good second choice".

Not saying that she shouldn't get over the loss and find love with someone else, but given the context of the game, it would really seem like if you reject her she would just immediately jump to Garrus, without any emotional down time. Maybe it only happens if you didn't romance her at all in ME2 or 3, which would make a lot more sense to me.

No, Garrus is a jerk. Maybe he doesn't mean to be, but he is. You take that playful jab and then compare it to his statements in ME1 and it's clear he's kind of a doofus.

Now you are making it creepy.

How dare she move on with her life.

ME3 is at least several months after ME2, so Tali has had plenty of time to move on after being shot down by Shepard.

Not sure actually. The two biggest sources of info have been the SomethingAwful guy and Xiosite playing the space edition. Something awful said that you had to have romanced Tali in ME2 and ME3 to see her face, but said little else. Xiosite did not have a Tali romance import, and did not see her face, though he noted she took off her helmet again (and the camera angle again did not show her face). Theres a dude combing through the audio files who notes that Tali says something about how she has "left something for you" in his cabin, which people are speculating is a reference to the photo.

Never said you were. Just thought that, you know, you might want to practice what you preach. Just an idea.

Doofus yeah, but doofus does not equal jerk. I will say that it is much more reasonable to call him a jerk in ME1, where he, as Joker says, has a pole up his @**. Oddly, in ME2 he is filled with much more blind range, but he is also a much friendlier guy. Overflowing with dry wit, but good-hearted.

But we're getting off topic. This is supposed to be about Tali :D

If you take a moment to read my whole post, you will find that I have no problem whatsoever with the situation that you are putting foreward. What concerns me is if you romanced her in ME2, then reject her for your ME1 LI in ME3, will she just immediately go for Garrus? That's all that worries me, just because it would seem so cheap and unlikely.

As you say, monthes is a good amount of time to move on, hours or even days, is less likely. Unless you're a salarian I guess.

Sure it does. Someone who is unintentionally rude and offensive all the time is still rude and offensive.

Garrus is pretty pathetic.

Honestly, I know a few couples that went from the female characterizing the male as "most annoying person I know" to a few months later "man is in relationship with woman".

Never ceases to amaze me. While I do not care for Tali being with another guy; their relationship is not really inplausible.

Oh, I get it, so not being someone's friend gives a person a free pass to act however they want, and you don't have to respect another living thing's feelings if you don't have any connection to them. Good to know. I'll keep that in mind.

Doofus yeah, but doofus does not equal jerk.

Garrus is pretty pathetic.

There is rude and offensive, and then there's sharp wit and joking around. It isn't like it's one of those fine lines either, it's rather a huge difference, and Garrus is rather strongly on the better side of that line.

And pathetic is a very strong word, not one that should be thrown about so casually. The volus who thought that he was a biotic god was pathetic. Garrus is a shaken soul, but became a better person for it. Hardly what I'd call pathetic.

*shrug* I heard that you have to resolve your 1 and 2 LIs in 3, which to me implies that you have to chose between them, or neither of them in the end. I suppose that's just an assumption on my part, but I think it's a pretty logical one.

Yeah, I don't know about the rest of the body, but the head alone makes it my favourite Tali's costume.

A better person for it? He threw a fit on the Citadel and then went on a rampage on Omega. He can't commit to anything. He should be ashamed of himself.

Well actually, I suppose you can choose to end it but I'm not sure that you can automatically pick up the old one if you do.

He is committed to enacting justice, even if the regulations prevent him from doing so. That has always been a part of his character. He should be ashamed because his original employers put up so many regulations that he couldn't even do his job so he flees to a lawless place to make a difference? Ok...

He's a reckless criminal who has gotten a lot of people killed.

You wouldn't want a man like him running around in real-life.

a reckless criminal that has gotten a lot of reckless criminals killed...yes

and if there weren't any reckless criminals running around, he wouldn't have turned out like that.

the only innocents he got killed was his little Omega Avengers group and he's deeply ashamed of that.
