Well, I was impressed with Rune's polite reply and apology. Not very often you meet people online who actually gives a **** about other people.

Probably not. It's just casual conversation you have with Javik onboard the Normandy between Quarian missions. He says something like 'Among my race even primitive Quarian were considered attractive, but you would not be able to tell that about them now.' or the like.

There are other differences. Look at the forehead and the nonseen ears. Exotic? You could see a nose and eyes.
If a picture is all it takes of you to change your mind about Tali, so be it. You don't deserve her presence anyway.

Then isn't it possible that that's what all the fuss is about? Since the hair makes Tali look even more human like. I mean, imagine Asari with hair that covers the horn-like stuff on the back of their heads. If you couldn't see that and they just had regulair hair, they would be nothing but blue humans

Yeah, that's not really what Tali has in the photo. In the photo she has like...extra long eyebrows. It's a nice touch, but again it just bothers me that it looks like a photoshop of a picture I could have done in my first semester of Digital Imagery class. 

I'd probably be more accepting of it if we saw it in game, and relate it more directly to actually being Tali and in the same world as Shepard and the rest. I'd also still have liked it to look a bit more like something that had evolved it's own way, rather than a human with extra stuff on the face. It's my same problem with most Star Trek/Wars aliens. They're just humans with extra layers.

I was just hoping for something better, and more xeno.

*sigh* it's like bioware forgot about her face and didn't have enough time to make a 3D model of it for in game, so they took a stockphoto and just put it in thinking this is best they could do.

Instead, we should have seen her face on Rannoch when she removed her mask. she should have also removed the rest of her headgear, so she can run her hands through her hair and feel the wind.

A stockphoto. Really?. Whoever was in charge of this decision should be ashamed for being so lazy.

I could have sworn her skin tone was like kinda purple or blue or something underneath the visor, guess not. This doesn't even look real what the assness. damn spell check, assness isn't a word?.. well it should be.

With the brigtness turned down, it is apparent that they edited the skin tone to be a mix of a pale violet and small blotches of greenish.

I still love Tali's voice and her suit and her attitude, but I feel like this thing Bioware has done for the photo was lower quality than the fan art or concept art in terms of creativity and originality. I wish there was some way I could go back in time and not look at the photo.

mm now that you mention that it does look to be a different skin tone. going back to that 4chan "leak" (real or not), maybe they will have an actual model ready in the assumed upcoming DLC, one can only hope. since after this raunchy experience, it's all I got...

I've said the same thing on many a thread about Tali (perhaps even this one haha), but I did approve of the general design of her appearance...I just didn't like the implementation. They should've made a new 3d model like the rest of the characters to impart her new appearance. Perhaps they will...eventually...along with new endings...*sigh*

 I dont think there will be new endings, just you will be able to continue if Shepard survives (which he/she does if you have enough War Assets).

I actually like it too! And I don't see why people are complaining about her looking human. All the other aliens are humanlike in some way, which, if you look at evolution, is what you should expect. Quarians are just a bit more humanlike than the other races.

The books said they are very human looking, so everyone should have expected so. Either way, Tali is Tali and that is how she looks.
And oh, do I approve.
