Uh so is there no Quarian/Geth peace outcome. First playthrough I sided with the Quarians. Second I went with the Geth and... and.... can't even put it into words. Just wondering if I missed something to get both sides or if I have to chose one side.
ME2
- Tali must not be exiled
- Diffuse Tali's and Legion's tension with Paragon/Renegade option.
- Destroying the heretics makes it "easier", but rewriting them is also OK.
ME3
- Save Zaal'Koris (not his men) in his secondary mission
- Do Legion's secondary (the computer program)
- Have lvl 4 reputation (if I'm not mistaken)
Then, tell Legion to upload the code. In the middle of it, you should have the option for paragon/renegade choice which should make both races have peace.
Ok I obviously missed some of that stuff so thank you so much for posting this. I did not diffuse the Tali/Legion fight in 2, I sided with Tali and never made up with Legion.
That's kinda a mishmash... my listing has a more concise and comprehensive list of stuff you have to do to make peace work.
As long as all the hard requisites are satisfied and you got at least 3 of the elective points in ME2, all you need is your rep bar at least part-way into the top segment.
I totally missed your post. You allowed me to pinpoint my problems. My first playthrough I didn't have the Tali/Legion conflict resolved. I also saved the crew over the Admiral. Second playthrough Tali was exiled. At least now I know what to do. Thanks so much!
Well, with my "mishmash" and MadCat221's explanation, you have no excuses now!
Go make peace and save Tali!

On that note of tali belonging with shepard you can see several hints that Tali is somewhat possessive during some of her comments.
Fairly amusing since I hadn't seen that side of her before.
She is scared in that scene, affraid of losing shepard to cerberus, and re-ashuring shepard that he is still himself.
Well, gee I didn't pick up on that *sarcasm*
I'm aware of the emotions behind it. I just found it amusing to see her possessive side come out. Because if you think adding "You're mine" will make him feel more "himself" you have an odd way of seeing things.
I didn't say it was bad. Only amusing.
No, i mean the "you are real" comment was making him feal better.

There was so much foreshadowing in ME1 and 2 about Shepard settling down after the war even in 3 there was (along with him dying).
It makes you think they too a 180 in the middle do ironing out the story....
It's foreshadowing of someone's death.
It's kind of a trope. It's not a bad trope either, it's effective. When characters in any sort of high stakes fiction talk about settling down, assume the worst. Kind of like how in Grunt's mission it does a variation on it. We /assume/ he's done for, but then he returns in the middle of sad music

I knew what the ending was going to be thanks to the spoilers, but I sucked it up and played to the end thinking that maybe knowing the end will make it less bad. I was so wrong.
I cried so hard, for so long. I had to cry silently to not wake my dad but I just wanted to scream at the top of my lungs.
All I ever wanted out of the ending was for Shepard and Tali to be together with all there friends. But all they get for there hard work is Shepard stuck on earth and Tali starving to death with the rest of the Normandy on some godforsaken planet.
I want to belive so hard in those "dream" theories and I hope BioWare releases alt. ending DLC that I would gladly pay $20 or more for. Because in its current state, I may never play Mass Effect ever again.

The relationship between Tali and Shepard is just... beautiful. It is so perfect in every way, you can really see how it is the truest form of love between them. Shepard is a perfect match for Tali. You can see how much she transforms throughout the trilogy; from a shy and timid girl, to a strong and determined woman, all through her utter respect and feelings for Shepard. It is almost a fairy tale, like a boy and a girl who have been friends since kinda-garden who then realise further on in their lives that they are one together, that they share a bond that is too deep for words to even begin to describe, true love.
I really did feel for their connection. It would have to be my absolute favourite part of the series, seeing Tali evolve and witnessing their relationship grow. Bioware really did something right in creating Tali as a character, she is just so... surreal, beautiful. I loved the subtle in-mission interactions between them and I loved every conversation they had together. "I wish we had more time", this had me in tears. Those 6 words expressed exactly what I felt about their relationship; I wish there was more, I didn't want it to end. Man, the Rannoch missions and all that, I have never felt such a deep emotional connection with a character before in my life.
I am happy with the ending I chose (Killing all synthetics, Shepard dies). Tali has grown so much through Shepard, she is no longer shy and timid, she is determined and strong, she fully understood the sacrifice that Shepard would have to ultimately make. She will never forget the bond she shared with Shepard. Too live, recover, too mourn, rebuild the universe, too move towards a better universe; it's what Shepard would have wanted.
I applaud you Bioware for creating something so beautiful. It has been a hell of a ride from ME1 through to ME3, and I don't regret a second that I put into the trilogy. Thank-you Bioware.
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts guys... hopefully what I have said isn't too corny or lame.

Very true except for the fact that they really need more time as we deserve more time with those char and the ending Bioware give to this final chapter was the worst ever, if a character doesn't deserve that end is shepard, he/she went through a lot and now when everyone is gonna believe in him/her, someone just decided that kill it or isolate it is ending for the series, boshe't as Tali says, give him a brake, let him return to Rannoch and help with the re-building, let this guy finish his life in peace with his love, give us a reason to keep playing Mass Effect again and again, I'm not happy with the ending, IM NOT, I know this Bioware guys can do it much better, the showedthat to us in ME1 and 2. If the point was finishing with everything incluiding your growing in the video games market, then you're almost there Bioware, almost there.

I am gonna head canon a better ending. I am choosing the control ending so the citadel is safe, reapers are there with the relay technology under sheps control. Shepard will use the reapers(who are everywhere in the galaxy) to recover the Nomandy crew. Then he'll use the reapers to build new relays. He can get the reapers killed afterwards if he wants. Then he comes back in body like EDI's and live with Tali Happily ever after.
The End.

Bringing Tali to Grunts mission has to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard. Ahhh spiders, spiders, SPIDERS!!! I couldn't stop laughing.
Indeed it was cute and funny. What made it better is that Liara started running through all the eggs after that ha. I have the video of it but it's quite short kinda lazy to upload it.
And for the person who asked what Ash said during the dreadnought it was along the lines of "Can we talk about this when we aren't on a damn dreadnought."
EDIT: Grunts mission didn't disappear for me even after taking back Rannoch. From what I have seen the only mission that disappears that involves a ME2 squaddie is Jacks.
