EDIT: Grunts mission didn't disappear for me even after taking back Rannoch. From what I have seen the only mission that disappears that involves a ME2 squaddie is Jacks.

The side missions for Jack, Samara, and Jacob are timed and will disappear if they're not completed quickly.
(Grunt's mission, to my knowledge, is not for some reason, but maybe that's because the "Turian Bomb" missions on Tuchanka are timed instead)

Hmm, I really can't find a single moment in ME3 that I din't like, the dialog was great, the story was amazing, the (Tali) love scenes were perfect. And then the ending came... ohhhh boy. Not too bad, but still very much to be desired.

It's in his last dialogue scene with Shepard (which comes right after Tali teasing him over the comm), where he asks "You and the the quarian are... joined?" to Shepard.

The first one. That made the fight with reaper so much more intense and meaningful after hearing Tali say that to you.

What was more satisfying than punching the Admiral in the stomach after he tried to blow up the ship with us in it? That was /so/ satisfying. And it wasn't because he was trying to blow up the ship with Me/Shep in it. It was because he was trying to blow up the ship with Tali in it. If tali weren't with me.. It still would've been a big deal but.. I think he may not have gotten punched. But I remember saying.. This guy is /so/ getting his ass kicked when I get out of this damn ship! Not knowing that I'd actually get a chance to hit the guy.. So when I saw that renegade interrupt pop up.. Man, no hesitation in hitting it.


Also.. yes.. The I love you before the reaper boss. That was...epic.

Definitely the "I love you" bit. Gave me shivers, made me smile immensely and it's kind of weird but I think I care a bit too much about Tali. I've always loved playing games but there's something about the Mass Effect series where it feels so real as if you're right there with them. I'm not ashamed to admit I've cried over a lot of deaths in ME3 from characters I've grown to really care about.

But all I know is the Tali romance feels so genuine for me, it's just...amazing.

Anyone else feel this way?

I will agree the Rannoch scene right before the Reaper is a favorite moment.

The banter on the Dreadnought is next for me. It is like they didn't miss a beat, right back at it and they have so much fun together.

My Shepard was a Colonist Sole Survivor. Even before the trilogy, his life wasn't too good. During the games, he was Paragon, always trying to save lives as often as possible. He had a relationship with Ashley, but then Virmire happened. After making it his mission to keep the Reapers from coming, he gets killed, and then revived by the people who wiped out his entire squad.
While being forced to work for the closest he has to a second arch enemy, still getting used to everything he is going to have to do, and then finds Tali again. Although he didn't expect it two years ago, he started to care about her, even falling in love with her. Sadly, the events of Arrival messed up his plans.
Between having to destroy a star system, six months being on house arrest, and then the Reaper war, he started to lose it, but it changed when he found Tali again. The fact that Rannoch was were he was able to get on foot and help destroy a Reaper Destroyer almost seemed like that was planned from the start, in addition to the firm declaration that "Nobody else dies today!". After the good-bye conversations in London, he made the run to the Citadel with Tali, and his good friend and support, Garrus.
But then the ending hit. Garrus and Tali were apparently hit with a Soverign class Reaper's laser, and were nowhere to be seen, and Shepard ended up dying on the Citadel. It was a massive slap to the face.

Your squad will survive if you have enough war assets but die otherwise. They will walk out of the normandy at the end if they survive .
Everyone survived for me, even shepard.

Well I suggested that to make any LI feel more like a relationship they could perhaps appear in shepards cabin at some points on their own (like they felt at home there)...

It might only be a picture there but I'm claiming 0.02 percent of the credit.

I also had Tali and Garrus with me during the last push for the transport beam in London and was figuring out whether they got killed or not by the Reaper beam attack. Well I just went ahead and finished the game by choosing the option "kill synthetics". Now here comes the funny part: when the Normandy crash lands the tropic planet and Joker steps out, he is followed by Tali who has no scratches whatsoever from the rush against the Reaper. I think my immediate feelings were something along "wait.... WHAT?". As if the ending wasn't disconnected enough already .

The scenes on Rannoch with Tali were amazing. I am disappointed about not seeing her face in game...well just a bit, but I guess the picture she gives is OK.

As for the ending...well there is a possibility of Shepard surviving, but the Relays get destroyed so the Galaxy gets screwed. Or you can take control of the Reapers and the Relays might not be destroyed ( not 100% certain but there are major differences between Control and Destroy cinematics ).

I just assumed when Shepard went down they weeped bitterly and then regrouped like Hackett suggested. Why they returned to the normandy is one thing I won't understand though.

Tali and Garrus should be digging me out of the rubble after I gasp for breath. I really hope they went back up for shovels.

The relays get destroyed in the Control ending, too, I'm afraid. That's the one I chose. I disagree that the galaxy is screwed, though. There's still an abundance of organic (and synthetic, at least in my ending) life on hospitable planets, an abundance of advanced technology, an abundance of people who are too smart for their own good. It's just that the galaxy has been changed in a major way--that was the cost of eliminating the Reaper threat. The ME universe never going to be like it was in these games again.

That makes me very sad, but I can understand why the writers would want to wipe the slate clean before writing new stories in this universe. Shepard settled the old conflicts, now it's time for some new ones. I think that's something to be excited about.
