Believe it or not, I could actually hear Tali talk in the first Mass Effect game without the mask filtering her speech. Probably some sort of helmet bug, whenever your helmet is forced off after it is forced on, it does that for all characters, including Tali, even though she has to wear a helmet all the time. Makes me wonder if she ever worked in the cartoon field with how cute her voice was without the mask.

It's interesting to think about that. I mean.. If Quarians were also primates, it may point towards the direction human evolution is going. Having 3 fingers must be dandy B)

It's best not to think about it too hard.

I know its a little off topic but I was actually born with a rare deformity called ulnar dysplasia, and as a result I only have three fingers on my right hand (well two and a thumb). The coolest part is having so much in common with 75% of the species in ME. All I need now is an extremely weak immune system. Posted Image
Anyhoo yeh so having three fingers rocks dude Posted Image

That's not the point I was attempting to make but... Well, it is nice to see that you're in good spirits/at peace with your disability (should you choose to call it that). Were I to pass as a quarian, I'd have to saw off my two middle fingers and possibly break my tibia in a few places, not exactly something I can see myself doing. I at least need the ring finger for something.
;)

Keep the healthy human immune system, it's a good idea. Just remember that it's good to live in "just the right amount of filth" to keep it functioning properly. I always got the impression that the Quarians were an allegory for what western society might become if we continue our obsessive-compulsive attitude regarding cleanliness and disinfectant. The only goal that achieves is as Wrex puts it, "something that grows weak when it isn't constantly challenged", and it lets the resistant strains of microorganisms proliferate.

Heh, I guess I can see now why I could understand Tali not being a romance option in ME1...I guess Bioware didn't like the idea of a spectre dating a 'would-be' adult on her pilgramige...though it is strange how I somehow began to love her in the first game, like she had that special charm or whatever. I feel sad that I missed out on a opportunity to help her complete her Pilgrimige, though that was because it was my first playthrough, and I felt that, at the time, talking to people would only annoy them if it wasn't about the mission.

Again her age was not a factor, they just didn't expect people to like her as much as fans did.

Something along the lines of----

Javik: You Quarians were fools for creating the Geth and losing your homeworld. Quarians were considered extremely beautiful even in my time. Now you live in suits and no one is able to appreciate that beauty anymore... except perhaps, the Commandah....

Tali: Wha? How did you--

Javik: Muahahahaha!!

*I'm dead serious. That's almost verbatim.

Link please? I never saw that one.

I never saw that last bit!!!:lol:

Just found this on a site:

________________________________________

Mass Effect 2 Decisions

+2 for Tali is exonerated at her trial (eg NOT exiled)
+2 for destroyed the heretics
+1 for resolving the Tali/Legon conflict with a renegade or paragon solution
As noted in this answer, if you did not import a game and started a new mission in ME3 you will have saved Tali, Tali will have been exiled by her people and Legion was never activated and thus the heretic mission would have have appeared. Ergo this avenue is closed if you started a new game file.

Mass Effect 3 Decisions

+1 for N7 Mission Destroy the Geth Squadron on Rannoch (aka fighter base)
+1 for N7 Mission Save the Admiral (not his men, the admiral)
You must also complete Legion's Mission in ME3 or the peace options will note be available. You need a high reputation to get the Paragon/Renegade options to appear.

If you rewrote the heretics in ME2 instead of destroying them, and still manage to achieve peace, you'll get more war assets but there will be less Quarians.
________________________________________

You need 5 Peace points to manage to save both.

Well regardless, it isn't possible to save Legion or the Geth VI let alone have it as a squadmate.

So yeah. I liked tali in ME2. But then she became way to adorable in ME3.

Also, even though it's a stock image I still like bioware's portrayal of Tali. It fits for me.

Honestly, I'm glad that Tali wasn't a LI in ME1 - it would've totally change the dynamic of the Tali/Shepard relationship if she had been, and I quite like how it turned out with starting and developing the romance in ME2 (gave their relationship a level of friendship and trust based on their past history that would then evolve into mutual love).

Tali and Garrus romances really do have an evolution quality to them, which is a plus to me.

Also, ending spoilers here.

I have a link to a very nice Shepard/Tali fanfiction that takes place after the events of Mass effect 3. Yeah, the author did some retconning. This is what I would envision after ME3.

Price of a Paragon

Two chapters and counting. I'm certainly paying close attention to this.

Yeah, the surprise was nice. The ME1 choices bothered me, actually. What with two of your crewmates tempting fraternization and the third falling for you the minute she came on board?

Hmm...you do raise a good point...plus there's a good in-game explaination of why Tali couldn't be romancable in ME1.  Friends in ME1, lovers in ME2, and possibly couples in ME3.  From the beginning, to the present, it's a beautiful friendship turned romance.  But damn is it hard not to think of her as more of a friend in Mass Effect 1.

Also I'd like to add that her romance scene wasn't really...that great. But the really touching dialogue between the shepard and tali really makes up for it.

All in all, I loved the romance scene.
