Yeah... I wouldnt have been so dissatisfied if the two of them had ended up together rather that garrus and tali. I dont know, i just like the idea of tali and garrus as friends, but once they cross that line.... <_<Nashiktal wrote...
Well I supported kal reegar over garrus as a tali LI any day, but since they had to go kill him off (probably because they couldn't, or wouldn't get his voice actor back) I have to tolerate it.

I started out playing as Femshep in 1, but then I met Tali.... immediately reset and played as mshep..... beat the game and was ninjamanced by ash..... didnt know tali wasnt romanceableCryorex wrote...
Yeah as soon as I discovered Tali is a romance for two. I was like meh, I surpose she was a reasonably cool character from 1.
Then I started playing through 2. Which Tali had a fairly significant role in. And all the moments with her really grew on me.
She is now my favourite and only romance.

Which is weird because Liara for some reason in ME1 asked if he and Ashley were interested in each other. When that happened all I could think was "Are you serious?"Cryorex wrote...
Well Tali and Shepard were just good friends in ME1. As Shepard apparently had no idea Tali liked him in such a way. Apparently Liara knew.

Probably having the dramatic epic part at the beggining of the ending. And the peaceful epic part near the end.

Yah, but I see it as that plus the fact that it does not say what happens to the entire galexy in the aftermath. A "fallout 2/3/NV" style slide show would be an example.

agree. who wouldn't want support from romance partner during a stressful battle? (given both of you survive, of course...)forthary wrote...
If there's going to be a final boss battle in the 'true' ending, then I want at least Tali on my side when we face off against the boss. The last time, when I made my first playthrough in Mass Effect 2, I was afraid to lose Tali and put her in danger. Now that I realize the whole picture, I knew I couldn't lose her unless I stooped to some low levels, so I took her in my next playthrough, and it rocked. Seeing her help me aboard the Normandy SR-2 was kinda cute in a way...I'd do the same for her. She might not be the sharpest knife in the armory, but she can still slice ya in two.

Serching for top pic...
So closure and explanation, what people seem to want is to know what they left behind and if they survive the fate of their Shepard.
I think that seems to be the bulk of the issues.
The current endings are so nebulous and symbolical that it can be frustrating.
Ultimately people want to feel that the actions they took mattered.

Don't get me wrong though, I loved the Garrus/Tali interaction and always have, it just seemed bad timing and that the timing was a legacy of the fact that the most likely thing to happen at that point was Garrus and Tali hooking up (because the timing on that would be perfect), with you having a relationship with one of them being written in on top of it as the alternative. The fact it's before the final mission means it has better timing then even your own romances, whomever they are with.
Anyway, threatened? No, of course not. I trust Garrus and Tali. Slightly annoyed at the developers for ignoring Sheps needs on his final trip in the Normandy on his return to earth, yeah totally.

They were gonna have TIM pull an Albert Wesker and turn into some Reaper-like monster near the end but it was scrapped.
I'm a little worried that with that feedback thread Bioware will change a number of things (some of which don't need to be), besides the endings and its just gonna invoke more or the same level of criticism. They can't please everyone so I hope they don't try to.

According to the art contained in the collectors edition:
"One of the plans on the drawing board was to have the Illusive man turn into a Reaper creature for the final battle. Eventually, this plan was scrapped, since we wanted to give players the satisfaction of fighting a character they know rather than a random creature. The design implies that the Illusive Man's weapon is his intelligence, not his physical strength."
It's too bad there is no art of Tali'Zorah in the book. I seriously was hoping id be able to get some art of Tali and look at it when I want to. There is art of Rannoch in the book, but its nothing special. They were merely trying to combine Quarian Architecture and Geth Architecture. Oh, and that both the inside and outside were meant to blend.

I like those! Okay, maybe not in the same style but I would have rather seen something like that. Not that ME3 needs it in so much detail. It would be nice to just have some short cut scenes showing a bit of how life moves on after the fact. Doesn't need to spell it all out for us, just provide some closure. I think in a story that is so character based, that is important.
Nice Tali pic btw (and we're back on topic, bonus points).

Dammit.... there's no final rescue of Shepard from the Citadel by his crew.... no watching the Reapers being destroying into a million bits by the Crucible's energy.... no final goodbye of the Normandy crew as each character goes their separate ways to rebuild their societies.... no spot on Rannoch where Shepard and Tali decide to build their house together

I can't believe I cried like that during the game.
Liara's timebox
Mordin's death
Thane's death
Udina's death
Kelly died
Legion's death
EDI mentions Legion talking as individual
All the corny dialogue
Miranda's death
Kai Leng's death
