I believe any squad mate can die at that part if you dont have enough war assets. It doesnt show them die, just them lying on the ground afterwards. I have only seen Garrus and Ashley die that way, on youtube.

I think they're still supposed to show up on the Normandy at the end though, aren't they?

No, your squad can die at that part or they can survive. Depending on your war assets.

Tali's romance scenes tend to be on a far more emotional level anyways. In this game (at least from the few LI scenes I've seen in it), Shepard seems to be far more open and vulnerable with Tali than with anyone else. Although, I've gotta say, I wish Mark Meer had taken a second try at a few of the lines. His "Thanks" at the end almost seemed dismissive (Though Sroka totally saved it with her "Whenever you need me.";) )

I have to agree on that one. Though I wonder sometimes if it's in the edit. Fortunately, it was Tali's lines that were the most important.

I don't know; it might be better for them to die a quick death rather than starve on the jungle planet.

You know, when I first heard you could romance Tali in ME2, I wasn't sure. Not because I wasn't sure if I wanted to, just I wasn't sure it would be well scripted and actually make sense for character development and the whole thing of being different species (without the Asari power of mating with anyone). I am glad I went with it.

Zorak once asked William Shatner: "Blue boobs or green boobs?". Turns out the answer was neither.

I wish there were more Tali based missions like the one on Rannoch. I wouldn't want them to be based on the war between her people and the geth, though. One mission based on that was stressful enough on her.

Am I the only one who, after the first playthrough, wished you could swap Vega for Tali? You know, have Tali with you right at the beginning as opposed to just in the last third? I always found Vega to be pretty dull anyways, easy trade in my mind:)

I pushed through the main storyline until I got her on my side. Then I did the majority of the side missions with her

War assets also do....give...uh....well, it's like a free codex entry... well a codex entry that only cost blood and tears and time.

Anyway, what I meant to say was, you'd think you could find food on a jungle planet, especially with a convieniantly breathable atmosphere. If nothing else, Joker barely uses his legs anyway.

Likewise. Actually, as I was playing it right on release day I was worried she wouldn't continue to be a full companion after the mission (because she claims she can't until right after your finished with that arc, at which point I breathed a sigh of relief), so I actually just picked her up and then did all the backed up side missions. Then came back to save her people. Good job those events on Rannoch weren't really that time sensitive.

I accidentally let Grissom Academy fall because I was rushing through the main plot to get Tali back.
