Came in to say this. I've not had the pleasure of reading from our other craftsmen/women, but I can say for sure Himmelstor
writes some superb Tali fan fiction. For two vastly different Shepards
even! Never thought of Tali with a Renegade Shepard before, but Dmitri
is about as Renegade as can be, yet it somehow works out beautifully. Tali can soften even the most hardened hearts.

Haven't read Rip's and Jones' stuff yet... I think I read some of cannedcream's, not sure now.

I have always had a concern about blurring the lines between what was "real"(stories created by developers in-game), and what is "fiction"(fan created stories).

Sure there's the story created by the developers, but it's the imagination of the fans that makes Tali (and mass effect world) realistic.

Which is what I usually do. Although, my newest one is where I am rewritting the endings... because, well, you know, they kinda are really bad.

Eh.  I never was into fanfiction for the ME series because I liked the story up until the ending of Mass Effect 3.  Reading some of the fanfiction, especially that which has a bit of focus on Tali, has eased the pain of how bad the ending was.  *Crosses fingers and hope Shepard wakes up by breaking from the hullicination*

But he doesnt really count... He's just there for the newbs. Actually I have no idea why he is there. For Jersey Shore?

Actually, I heard he was going to enter the Unreal Tournament.  Don't believe me?  Look at some of that armor he wears.  I swear he looks like he's going to enter a Unreal Tournament and become godlike as he guns down people with a minigun.



Anyways, that being set aside...I know some people commented earlier on the romance night with Tali.  One thing I will say is yeah, it was good.  It definately could have been better though; if you listen to the song, "I was lost without you" fully, it seems like they wasted the potental of how good the song would sound during romance night. 

I can envision that if the song was fully used, as Shepard 'removes' (Yes your not daydreaming, it is a visual bug...or very good mime acting) Tali's mask, the scenes changes over to them kissing with Tali on top of Shepard.  Then as the song kicks in, more in and out scenes occur, and they do 'intimate' stuff, but not necessicarily sexual stuff (Though they could add it in, sure.)  Stuff like Shepard massging tali, playing 'handsies' (Don't ask me why, it's probably a quarian thing), tickling her, both of them feeling each other, more kissing, and just overall being intimate to her in a pleasurable yet respectful way.  As the in and out scenes occur, Tali has more and more parts of her suit off, until only her underwear remains.  Shepard, however, doesn't bother resisting, and is always in his underwear the whole scene. 

The post-encounter stuff was good.  There's not much I would change, other than making it more obvious Tali is putting the last of her suit back on and taking some red sand something through her induction port.  And maybe being a bit supportive, but really, that's good.
