Didn't look at the picture link posted right now.

Tali's character won me over purely through character, which differs her from all others. Ashley's character wasn't to my liking, I'm sure there are some who like her style, but it doesn't create anything for me. Liara is definitely my second to third choice in the game, but in the first one she was sadly the only one, since obviously the developers didn't think Tali would be such a smash hit. Which is weird, since she's basically Liara's only competition, and downright takes the cake by being the first one of your old crew you run into in the second game, and standing stalwart, trusting, on your side.

Tali's face has no big importance for the romance to develop, since it's her character, through voice only, without physical attraction or display or emotions through facial expression, that wins me over.

Totally agree, her character is the most important. But if this (http://fc00.devianta...ial-d4szlc0.jpg) face would be revealed in front of me, I, I don't know. Say "put. this. mask. back. on. whatever. you. call. face. and let us forget about what just happend". Anyway, its good that this doesn't need to happen now.

Here we go.
I tried to make an unmasked Tali based on the photo that Bioware gave us.
Let me know if you like it or not.

It's depressing.... because it is ten times better than the one that made it into the game...

Excellent job.

Watch the final version. Its way better.

I agree, some great work done here. Work that should've been done by the creators.

Still..I feel down. What difference did it make that my Shepard gave Tali the hope of a home world in happiness when in the end I destroyed the Universe and left her alone on some random planet?

The whole romance was brilliant, I loved it. The ending of it all to no point of happiness makes me horribly depressed...

Indeed. The last conversation was very moving.
"I want more time." Are her last words in very desperate, broken and sad voice.:crying:
This is no way to end such an amazing romance, Bioware.:pinched:

I didn't need a reward, and the picture did just fine. I needed a fitting conclusion that made her living on happily, not in mourning or alone on a strange planet, knowing that all has been lost, her homeworld again forever unreachable for her, and Shepard, love of her life, gone, dissolved in the green ending (which is my paragon).

Indeed, Tali's character is what's important to me and whatlead me to her in the first place, though in ME1 I liked her more like a younger sister before ME2 came out.
Tali's photo (or face in general) was icing on the cake but could never really change how I feel about Tali.
I personally couldn't love her ME romance more than I already do... wait, I could love the romance more, if they add an actual conclusion where we can build a house on Rannoch for Tali.^_^

EDIT: Oh, and this is just personal preference but I can't stand synthesis ending, because Synthetic/Organic DNA? Last time I checked, synthetics didn't have any DNA or something resembling it.
I always go with Destroy ending, Anderson = Paragon for me no matter the color, and we didn't reyally see any Geth get destroyed by the pulse.:P

As would I. I am surprised with the negative feedback on that linked concept. I think thats one of the better fan concept arts.

I made the right Tali less purple, as EJ107 suggested.
I also added those little marks at the eyes from the original photo. :D

Thank you so much for listening to my comment! I love the image on the right  I think you got the skin tone just right, It looks just like the one from the photograph of Tali in-game, pale but with a blue/purple tinge.

A shame Bioware couldn't have done an original piece of artwork like this for Tali's photograph.

If I remember right they hired that fantastic fan-artist to make that FemShep picture. I don't see why they didn't get him to draw Tali maskless- these realistic pictures look brilliant.

I'm with the people who didn't want to see Tali's face. It simply wasn't important and I honestly don't think there would have been an answer that would have made me happy. It's like slasher flicks in the old days. You don't see what happens but you might here some noises or a scream. Your mind fills in the blanks and this can be so much worse that what they show on screen.

I take Shep's reaction to seeing her face as being justification that she is a hotty though,

Quite happy with the little picture. A character model would have been interestsing but it fits with the portrayal of Tali to the player that there shouldn't be one (again though, I prefer not seeing her face so I'm obviously biased about this).

Am I wrong in thinking that Tali doesn't take off her suit ever? I kind of get the feeling that she doesn't even when with Shep.

I would have loved a scene where they come back from a mission and EDI says something like 'a sterile environment has been prepared. Food grade radiation santization equipment has also been setup.'
Tali says thanks, and Shep gets confused and worried ('uh, why do we need all that?') Tali responds with 'Well you didn't think that the suit stays on ALL the time did you?'
Cut scene plays, maybe see a bit of purple shoulder, some hair (not showing face lol), fade to black.

Fade back from black:
Tali: 'So how are you feeling?'
Shep: 'Well, I've got some rather sensitive burns, I smell of burnt hair and I think I've gone blind in one eye. Still though, Totally worth it.'

End scene.

EDIT: Hmmm. I think I've just crossed some sort of fundametnal line with writing that.

Actually, yeah, I believe many people loved her for being mysterious. But, me, not. I liked her for being like she is. If she had never been able to even lose the suit, I wouldn't have minded much...I wanted her. In fact I would want a T-Shirt like this one, but with her, and Jack as second option...face it, Liara's out of our mortal league. She's only 106!

Actually, it is. I had her with me in the final push, her dying down there while I die up there - it was a possibility. And the reason I chose an ending where I would die, believing she was dead already. All my way up to the platform I was hoping for some radio contact with her, or at least see her body...but when I ran to the beam, I didn't see her either. Didn't know at the time there WAS no ending where I would NOT die. And that there was no ending where she would not live, for she obviously evacuated to the Normandy and then fled the system within the five minutes between me being at the beam and being a beam of green light.

I do not need to settle with her on Rannock. I would be okay with a statue, her and me, arm in arm, me pointing to the sky. That statue should have her suit, but her real face, for she should be remembered as she is. I wouldn't have minded her being on the planet with Joker and EDI and the rest of the gang (minus Garrus, he wanted to see me at the bar up there, and I'd hate to wait for him too long - unless he goes with Tali afterwards, then my blessings!), wearing a pendant of green light, feeling me near her for as long as she lives.

I just...is it so hard to understand that I so desperately need closure?

Agreed. As much as I'm attached to Tali...I'd have to redo the series from ME2 onward if this was her look.

thats one of my personal favorites.

While I like EmpororZorn's Tali (nice job BTW), I really prefer this one.  The only issue that I have with it is that it is a bit too Asari, but I guess I am just hard to please :).

Honestly, that face? Would've shocked me a liiittle bit, but not much, since her body physics already resembled the turians too much.

But the ending shocked me to the core, in a very bad way. Maybe it's the German thing, but genocide...I really, really am against that.

If it is, it means that they never intended another ending and have reacted desperately to the fans.

I hope they put the same quality of work into an alternate ending as they did into 99 percent of this absolutely superb game...for the ending just seems without any love or effort.

Woot? I think she is so beautiful in this one. Such a cute face. She looks pretty alien, though... But still hot. Not like Salarian females. II'd be so much more devoted to the character if she had that design. The Bioware Pic was just poorly done. I don't like it at all.

Now, EmperorZorn's rendition of it is just amazing. I don't have a problem with Tali looking more human-like, but if Bioware decides to go that way, they have to put some effort into it. Zorn's Tali is imo the best version of her out there, by now. She looks beautiful, takes bioware's design choice into account, and looks enough alien (more so than in Bioware's version). The more hman-like design is fine with me.

Great job

Well, just shows that I'm not the only one that...well, when I was confronted with the three choices, I stood there and said...wait, what? These are my options? Why can't I just do nothing, my fleet might be able to destroy you, or at least...I could react just before we lose or something. But honestly...I was just chosing one because I feared Tali to lie battered and destroyed down at the beam, and I didn't want to go on without her anyway.

Most people are ok with Tali in game picture becouse most people would generaly accept her looks anyway (as long as it wasnt hideous).

I liked a pictuer but I still think it is silly they didnt made her face reveled in game graphics. Since they revealed her looks anyway this only confirms they didnt do it due to lazines / lack of time.

Putting a picture no matter how great is easy, but creating a face that looks good when animated is a whole new story.

I guess they decided to reveal Tali face late durring development proces when they had most of the programing part done.

Id pay a lot for Tali romance DLC thought :) but I think I can leave the rest to imagination, right now i just want that hangover gone after seeing the End game. So I hope the fix is comming out soon 0 and we will get our heroic ending with "and they lived happilly ever after" epilogue.
