Hey, fine with me, I like hell petition for a logical ending without plotholes as well. Just...well, it's so ironic having you around, remembering that "someone else could've gotten it wrong", and you so very obviously not writing the endings then...

FYI, I comleted the Jacob mission after the final mission, by reloadoing an older save.

Could it be that this message was close before you finished it? Or...they still toy with us.

If wrote the endings, last shot would have been Tali without mask with house on Rannoch, with Shepard.

I wanted/expected something more alien. Grunt back in ME2 said something about Quarian toughness... "Your soft, Asari, Salarian, all soft...Quarian not so much"

After that I kind of expected a plated-exoskeleton, more Turian or something. But instead I guess Quarians are different colored humans.

We've always known that the Quarians were the most human-esque of the aliens. There are a couple of references to this in the franchise.

EDIT to avoid double post:

I was mad afterwards when I found out that I could have gotten peace but I picked the wrong dialogue option for it unfortunately.Oh well, I saved the quarians and thats really all that matters.

You didn't get peace because you didn't meet the requirements. It doesn't matter what you pick for the initial dialogue choice, you always get a chance to make peace on the second dialogue, as long as the requirements are met.

That does not make sense considering I had all the requirements. Im pretty sure, If you chose to let the geth die, you do not get the chance for peace if you choose it again.

In fact, this link proves it.

www.youtube.com/watch

No.

That second dialogue, the one that shows actions contained in brackets, if the player had met the requirements for peace, there would be paragon/renegade options on the left.

No... they would be visable but greyed out on the left side. You would then see them as greyed out if you choose the upload option. You HAVE to pick letting them upload once in order to get the peace option next.

actually as someone who's played through that part of the mission several times. I've often picked to let the geth die.. and then rallied the fleet  on the second chance. Sooo.. No you don't have to pick letting them upload first in order to rally or warn the fleet on the second dialogue choice.

Might I add some things...it should be them, arm in arm, lying somewhere, talking about how they probably now all celebrate you as saviour of the galaxy out there, maybe build statues (cut scenes with Statues of Shepard arm in arm with Tali, and rest of the gang as single statues all over new council garden, should be before that), reminiscing about the ones we lost, and how hopefully the galaxy will find balance without us. And then she asking him "so, should the bedroom window be right - here?", and it should end with them exploring various places for bedroom quality. Have another.

It's kinda funny...when I saw the ending for Mass Effect 3, I was like, "OMG I died for good! I love you Tali, and take care team." and then, after recovering from the shock of that ending, "Ok, that was cool, how do I get the good ending?" so after looking online and realizing that there was no 'good' conslusive ending, well...I came here, voiced my concern about the ending, and came over to this thread. At least they have the courtesy to bring you back in time, so I wont have to worry about running the whole game again if the new ending is released.

It seems that for whatever odd reason there is, the community talking about Tali eases the pain of how bad the ending is. Day by day, I get better...the scars will linger, but the pain is mostly gone. Now I assume that the ending isn't real and the actual one is being worked on right now. It's kind of the reason why I came onto the fourms...I only started playing the Mass Effect series last year I believe, and before Mass Effect 3, I was very satisfied with both the game and the progress of the Tali'Zorah romance. I didn't have any major concerns. In Mass Effect 3, I am still satisfied with the Tali'Zorah romance progress, the dialog sounding better, but the physical scenes lacking even for a quarian and the ending of the whole game just...blergh.

Bottom line, I think over time, while we were shocked and hurt by Mass Effect 3's ending, this thread has helped mend some of the damage for all of us.

Still thinking about writing my Shepard's story from beginning to end. After playing enough, I get his talking style down quite well, somehow I seem to be able to copy styles after a while...except Shakespeare. Probably because I dislike even trying to copy Mister Perfect on romance. Wonder if Tali ever read about him in "Human Courtship And Mating". What do you think of my canvas chairs in front of the big view window? Like something different in the bar once in a while.

Honestly the only reason i am not sobbing like a baby about the ending is because it is still possible for my Shepard to reunite with Tali and the rest of the Normandy crew.

In my ending Shepard lived, and he would never rest until he finds his friends and love interest. I had little hope of this working at first, since even with FTL it would take years just to go to the surrounding planets. Then I did the math and realized that it would only take a few decades to get from one end of the galexy to the other.

Thus is should be fairly easy to find the Normandy crew, they can't have ended up that far away. Thus the first thing my Shepard is/will do is find the nearest QEC, even if he has to break out of the hospital to do so. Then he is going to take the first ship he can get with FTL on it, even if he has to steal it, and go find his friends dammit!

And then they live happily ever after...on earth since the Relays still went boom, but still. (And why goes the stargazer ending still happen? I dunno, people decide to colonize that world because, hey, a Garden world not that far from earth)

There may be a problem with relative time when making extended FTL journeys. Though not sure if the ME universe just sidestepped that with made up tech. Also no idea quite the effect of going FTL in real life, since it's not generally considered possible. But, if it worked out anything like near light then while it may take 20 years to get across the milky way (that's without stopping to vent too I believe), a much much longer amount of time would probably have passed outside of the travelling ship. It's possible that, depending where they are standed all your friends could die of old age by the time you reach them. Both the speed and mass have implications for relative time, but without any mention that I know of about how that's dealt with in ME it's really impossible to say just how feasible the whole thing would be.

Anyway, physics aside. It's not going to be easy to track down the crew. If they are truly stranded, you'd pretty much have to scan every planet in the entire galaxy to find them. I'd like to think my Shepard would never give up trying to find Tali. But it seems unlikely he would ever succeed. They may get lucky and get picked up by a civilisation in whatever area they are in, or they may manage to repair the Normandy. But even then it won't be easy to get together. Probably the sensible thing to do would be to head to Rannoch and just hope Tali is able to get there too. Hopefully a quantum entanglement communication system will get set up to help survivors find each other. If Sheppard can keep tabs on the main worlds then he could run around planet scanning until he dies, or finds something. Sad way to spend your retirement.

Main reason I hang here right now, too. Also, slept enough over the morning and then evening, so staying a little longer at night is okay. Also, what would you prefer to drink? We got big glasses, and emergency induction ports of any kind!

I don't drink anything alcoholic, heh.  Not that age would stop me, but I've seen too many people water their troubles down with booze instead of confronting it head-on.  Though don't get me wrong, I certainly am not opposed to people drinking...unless they throw up on me...

And the Normandy still had active QEC with places on Earth ;)

Normandy? Same ship torn up by colored shockwave, such that rather than repair trying to set up lost colony a better idea?

It is incredibly likely that the QEC on the Normandy is still active (i doubt the every part of the ship is broken). Besides the whole crashing part, i suspect the Normandy still had power left, and probably alot of the systems are still functioning. All i am saying is that  its not immpossible for my idea to work (Hey, it makes more sense then  the endings

Given it's based on individual protons spinning in a specific way and being linked to individual protons on earth and that chances are you'd need a LOT of these linked protons to get those 3D holograms with sound out that theys eem to do,  there is a high chance that one or both ends could be easily disrupted to the point of FUBAR.

Then pull up a canvas chair and relax with me and the Doc over there. We don't drown our sorrow, just enhance our horizon. Plus, remember, Tali did it. With triple distilled Turian vodka - third bottle on the right, I mix it with Thessian Kahlua and milk, personally.

Sure, why not.

Anyways...what kind of music do you listen to when your drink?  I like to go REAL old school and listen to some 1980's music here...yeah, its a special kind of music genre on earth that some say was one of the best decades of music...

Did Liz Sroka *not* do Tali's voice in ME3? I know that might sound stupid, but having just seen the credits again I saw Tali's voice actor was "Ashley Sroka" instead of Liz. Typo or something else?

Oh, now there's an idea. Let's see, I had a bottle of kingsmead around here somewhere...yes, there it is. On the right. I always think, who made this, and why was there no funneling?

Sadly, this is probably not for any quarian not already entangled with a geth.

K, thanks Himmelstor. When I looked it up on IMDB it still said Liz so I figured I'd go to the horses' mouth and get the right answer.
