Y'know, when ME1 came out, I LOVED Tali's look.

When ME2 came out, I LOVED her look even more!

So I can't wait for her new design in ME3 :D

I wonder if they'll keep her knife, and if they do, will it mean she'll use it (or it'll be explained)? Posted Image

I'd love that, especially if it comes out it's something nobody expected...

Shep: BTW, Tali, I always wanted to ask you, what's with that knife?
Tali: What?
Shep: That knife strapped to your leg... *points*
Tali: Oh! This... *chuckles* Actually this is a typical piece of quarian jewelry, it would be like a human... "bracer"?
Shep: Never thought Quarians would still make jewelry given... you know... your situation...
Tali: It's not like it hasn't practical uses, I myself can think of two: first, given the general shape it can be used as a tool in case of emergency...
Shep: and the second one?
Tali: Keeping the random bosh'tet who thinks this is a knife at bay... The shotgun is also helpful with that...

While reading this, something occurred to me...considering how dangerous it is for Tali to get a puncture in her suit, you would think she would avoid sharp objects...like knives!!! I guess that is why the knife is on her calf (which is armour plated) and therefore less likely to puncture her suit accidentally. Ah, so 'that' is why she is wearing metal boots (I am beginning to appreciate the thought that has gone into her character design, more and more!).

I have doubts as to whether the knife is really feasible in combat when you have armored krogan running around. It's very possible that the knife is more ceremonial/cultural than anything else.

Or it could, you know, just be a tool for utility and survival. Knives aren't just weapons, you know.

Wow. Just... wow. Her mask is so tinted you can barely see her face, but in some mysterious way you can visibly tell that she is happy?

I applaud you, sir. That is an amazing ability you have there. You should be proud of it.

Actually, it's not impossible - you just need to get used to spotting the very subtle differences...:

Arcian, stay out of this thread with an attitude like that. Fix your chip on your shoulder, or stay out of this thread unless you desire more enforcement on the issue.

Regarding tali's emotional state and wearing a mask.

Gather round kids and I'll tell you a little story about bodylanguage and tone of voice.

Nah but srsly thats how I "guesstimate" her mood.

Perhaps it's a super screwdriver like the one dr Who have?

The environment suits we saw people wearing in ME1 would have made a knife very useful in close quaraters because they had air hoses on the back that could be cut.

Well some people can't take jokes that aren't even aimed at them. Go figure.

If you put aside my delicious sarcasm, all that post really did was point out that it's actually very hard (if not almost impossible) to see her facial expressions because her visor is so opaque. Which is true, because, you know, it is. I know it's to preserve her appearance ambiguity and so forth, but realistically she should be bumbling about like a blind chicken and running into walls to the left and right with that hard-to-see-through visor.

Love this idea! Would be great if your LI came to the rescue. After all, you can't really play as Shepard while he/she is in jail. Won't be able to do much.

And it was fun controlling Joker in ME2. Even if you could see it coming with the whole squad getting into the shuttle.

I wonder if while playing as her you still get a dialogue wheel for her or she automatically says things for you. I can imagine her using the word bosh'tet if u pick a renegade option

The "LI saves Shepard, for once" would be indeed a nice idea. But then also there should be a neutral alternative for who didn't romance anyone to still give them the chance to play the sequence. Maybe the Shep's XO?

Speeching of else... assuming that she won't be with Shep since the immediate beginning but still pretty early in the game when and where you think we'll meet again Tali in ME3? You think that the Alliance will arrest her and the other ME2's returning squamates, that Shepard will hide her somewhere before surrendering to the Alliance, or else? Considered that she can be exiled, I assume she won't just return to the Migrant Fleet...
