Tali picture is based off a british? Now, I hate the picture less. I know, I am biased.

Don't know if this was posted here before. Tali's face portrait is based on Hammasa Kohistani.

Oddly enough, I find Persians to be the most attractive humans.
I like this picture even more....

As the Doc and I were discussing earlier, her voice actess, Ash Sroka, would also be a brilliant face for her. We wouldn't have minded one bit. Give her the credit, it's her voice and feelings that won us over, after all!

I agree. I honestly thought they would have used her face from the beginning.

Liz is cute beyond all beliefe. I wouldn't have minded it one bit.

Don't mind any of the two, but would prefer Ash Sroka for having the voice, too.

I tend to like relaxing trance-type music mostly but I also like to listen to heavier stuff on occasion.

Here's an example of a neat trance love song of sorts.

Good part kicks in around 2 minutes in. ^_^

I like listening to vocal trance every now and then, and I do remember hearing this song back in the day. I regularly listen to Goa trance.

If you love trance, I'd encourage you to listen to that track from beginning to end. Amazing journey.

Well, I've been listening to that song on repeat since you linked it. Very smooth and relaxing. B)

Here's one of my favorites from Airbase.

Also...I wonder what kind of music Tali likes. Sometimes I really wish she would have brought some in the ME2 romance scene. :P

Yeah, she's been going on like nuts about music and dancing...I believe any kind of music would be something she'd be curious about. I wonder if she'd like classical music.

We ate the patrons of Bioware. Games are an art form. Sure. And Mass Effect especially is very artistic. However, art cannot survive without the approval of the audience. Shakespeare wrote several plays to please the queen and his backers. Leonardo Da Vinci fell in love with his own painting, unwilling to part with it, but obviously let at least one of his students make a copy at the same time and sold it, not to mention his many works for patrons all over his life. Writers have written sequels due to contractual obligations. And the ones paying for art - normally - are fully aware of what the art is about. The picture is completed and can be seen. The play is finished and can be read. The book is written and can be read. A computer game must be played through before a judgment can be made. But it's bought before. We bought it, got 99 percent high class entertainment and 1 percent bull****. It is not perfect. It is not worth the money as it is.

We are the patrons of the game. We bought it. We payed for it. We are satisfied with it but with one glitch. But this glitch is very important to us. It's a dimple on the Mona Lisa. A "**** you" as the parting words of Julia to Romeo. It's Frodo joining Sauron in Lord of the Rings. It's the devil winning. That happens in real life. It's not what we want in fantasy.

It's our right to demand a change. Artists have altered their pictures. Writers their plays and books. And nothing is so easy to change as a computer game using Origin as a mandatory downloading platform. They could poll us, all of us, using it, asking if we're satisfied. As it is, they already feel our heat. Art may be changed. When somebody draws the Mona Lisa with a Smiley Face, it should be changed. When somebody writes Romeo and Julia with obscenities, it should be changed. When somebody makes the Elves important in Lord of the Rings, it should be changed.

When somebody ****s up the ending of the greatest science fiction role playing game series ever, it should ****ing be changed.

And I pay extra for the time, if necessary. I know it's just business. Just remake my sandwich, you sandwich artists! I explicitly said no olives. And making me part of a genocide tastes bad in my mouth.

I'd at my support to Ash Sroka taking the part in the movie. It's entirely possible, though it would also likely mean she would be the LI in the movie. It seems unlikely to go that way anyway, so may as well have the voice we love. If they do actually do this movie, it would be nice if it isn't quite so focused on Shepard. The game obviously has to be, but a movie provides the chance to really show what the other characters are like.

I gotta say. It seems like ME1 gave us the greatest sense of the lore. It really let you know what was going on in the galaxy as opposed to ME2 and ME3, which just kind of use what ME1 created.
In that sense, ME1 gives us a lot of the greatest insight into Tali's character, or m i crzyyyyyyy o__<

More than anything else, ME1 Tali gave us insight into Quarian history and society.
She was more like a walking codex entry, but the cutest codex entry ever.^_^

And I think Tali's face based on Liz Sroka would have been accepted by the greatest majority of people compared to other concepts no matter how "good".
Just opinion though.

Me, too! I also think they should hire Ash Sroka for any content extra in ME3, as well as Admiral in ME4, and animated face for Tali throughout the billions of gigabyte of extra content...

Here's to hope. *breaks out the kingsmead*

I wonder if she dowloaded a copy of the music at Flux many years ago.  It sounded gentle, yet chaotic.  She's probably into electronic, I wouldn't be surprised.

Very well said. I agree, though I wouldn't gamble your lifes savings on them making changes.

On a side note, I'm sad I missed all the music talk earlier. As a music lover it's always good to hear what others are listening to (and I like most genre's, well other then most Grime and Trance, but really that's it. Grew up on Metal, Hip-Hop and Grunge, then sidestepped into trip-hop, jazz, blues and classical and have always loved a good movie soundtrack. Clint Masell is actually one of my favourites for that).

I think, ultimately the voice is going to be far more important for Tali then the face and she is a beautiful woman anyway. If she's not the LI, no need for a big hollywood celeb. That pretty much makes her a shoe in.

I'm with you on the extra content. Once my army of zombie cyborg clones are ready, I will be forcing Bioware to spend their remaining days on this earth writting Tali content exclusively.

I truly believe that, too. I think it would do her justice, too. Since she's the voice, she should be the face. Nobody here would truly doubt the decision, right?

The voice is just perfect! And the emotions in it. We all fell in love with the girl behind the mask without seeing her face. So it's not important to see it - but if it is shown, give the credit to the woman that made Tali the love that she is!

And your plan reminds me of the infinite number of monkeys...maybe they just reduced the number of monkeys in the end?

Remember all those discussions in this thread (and its older incarnations) months/years ago about Tali becoming an admiral in ME3?

And I approve of Tali's face based on Sroka. But I actually don't mind what was already given to us.

Maybe we share the same taste as the creators, as they implanted us with our tastes.  We can't argue with the fact we love Vanessa Carlton.  And we can also concur the Doctor you refer to as Doc is a fan of soul music.
