I'd at my support to Ash Sroka taking the part in the movie. It's entirely possible, though it would also likely mean she would be the LI in the movie. It seems unlikely to go that way anyway, so may as well have the voice we love. If they do actually do this movie, it would be nice if it isn't quite so focused on Shepard. The game obviously has to be, but a movie provides the chance to really show what the other characters are like.

Any Mass Effect movie most likely won't focus on Shepard and the main events of the Reaper conflict at all, including the squadmates.

Reason? By doing so Bioware would establish canon version of the events and thus discarded any kind of decision players made that wouldn't match with the movie.
Because of that, Shepard can't be shown in the movie nor can they mention any information about him/her that indicates his/her gender.
Any kind of plot would have to exclude events where Shepard and his squad were present.
Romancable characters can't in any way mention their specific relationship with Shepard.
The movie would have to be set either before ME games or deal with side characters we can't influence in the game to certain degree, like the novels.

Well, of course Bioware CAN do that, but that would make a lot of fans unhappy and I imagine that's the last thing they want after ME3 endings.

We ate the patrons of Bioware. Games are an art form. Sure. And Mass Effect especially is very artistic. However, art cannot survive without the approval of the audience. Shakespeare wrote several plays to please the queen and his backers. Leonardo Da Vinci fell in love with his own painting, unwilling to part with it, but obviously let at least one of his students make a copy at the same time and sold it, not to mention his many works for patrons all over his life. Writers have written sequels due to contractual obligations. And the ones paying for art - normally - are fully aware of what the art is about. The picture is completed and can be seen. The play is finished and can be read. The book is written and can be read. A computer game must be played through before a judgment can be made. But it's bought before. We bought it, got 99 percent high class entertainment and 1 percent bull****. It is not perfect. It is not worth the money as it is.

We are the patrons of the game. We bought it. We payed for it. We are satisfied with it but with one glitch. But this glitch is very important to us. It's a dimple on the Mona Lisa. A "**** you" as the parting words of Julia to Romeo. It's Frodo joining Sauron in Lord of the Rings. It's the devil winning. That happens in real life. It's not what we want in fantasy.

It's our right to demand a change. Artists have altered their pictures. Writers their plays and books. And nothing is so easy to change as a computer game using Origin as a mandatory downloading platform. They could poll us, all of us, using it, asking if we're satisfied. As it is, they already feel our heat. Art may be changed. When somebody draws the Mona Lisa with a Smiley Face, it should be changed. When somebody writes Romeo and Julia with obscenities, it should be changed. When somebody makes the Elves important in Lord of the Rings, it should be changed.

When somebody ****s up the ending of the greatest science fiction role playing game series ever, it should ****ing be changed.

And I pay extra for the time, if necessary. I know it's just business. Just remake my sandwich, you sandwich artists! I explicitly said no olives. And making me part of a genocide tastes bad in my mouth.

Very well said. I agree, though I wouldn't gamble your lifes savings on them making changes.

On a side note, I'm sad I missed all the music talk earlier. As a music lover it's always good to hear what others are listening to (and I like most genre's, well other then most Grime and Trance, but really that's it. Grew up on Metal, Hip-Hop and Grunge, then sidestepped into trip-hop, jazz, blues and classical and have always loved a good movie soundtrack. Clint Masell is actually one of my favourites for that).

Damn right I would bet my life's savings - I got none. Heh. But yeah, if they don't make changes - here's to us finding programmers and artists MAKING us the ending better. But I believe they will change it. We will buy it, anyway! And this game dropped from 1st place of sales in a week, because of the bad PR! That is money lost, right there!

I listen to almost everything, switching between Metal, Hard Rock, Punk Rock, industrial metal, death metal, ska, reggae, Cuban Hip Hop, Singer/Songwriter, Pop, classical music, soundtracks, those birds I hear singing when I see Tali...

Hmmm...drinking is poisonous. Poison makes synapses in brain change perception. Altered perception leads to different solutions for same problems proposed. Broadening the varieties of propositions, making it possible to find a better solution for a problem, one that had not been considered before. Also increases ability to interact with others due to reduction of social barriers. We are born individual, we never knew the consensus. It's easier to come to a consensus when drunk.

Sadly don't know what I could serve a Geth except access to the Karaoke bar...

We concur.  Without such diverse music, all would be terminated.  We also concur that Bioware needs reevaluation.  Perhaps a team of geth and quarin engineers?

We require a copy of Mordin Souls to participate in dancing ritual that flails appendages.  We can also sing Rick Astley if desired.

and who knows, although I see her as a relaxing kind of music person so classical fits the bill there.

I dunno, I always figured Tali would be into something a little more electronic, with a bass line you could lose yourself in;)

That's the trouble with having a finite number of monkeys. You get the ending to Mass Effect 3.

I volunteer to write for the ending, even would dig to the vastly growing thread of changes proposed to find a good variety of endings. There's some brilliance in there. Gimme one or two other writers for a consensus and we can make it. However we would need programmers, graphic designers...and we would work outside of any copyright. Some rogue AI would help.

True. Though we also know they have no problem with "polarising" the fanbase. They would probably state something like: "This isn't canon, just an interperetation for the movie".

However, I imagine they won't be rushing towards making the movie while the uproar is still in everyones mind. To be honest, I'm not convinced it will happen at all. But as long as it isn't made by Uwe Boll or Micheal Bay that's okay.

So many genres.
Can't compare, listen only to OSTs, Trailer and Epic music.:D
From the "mainstream" genres only specific songs when I stumble upon them, never entire band or genre.

So.. no zombie cyborg clones? :(

Edit: I suppose unless you chose the synthesis ending.

Well, whatever makes me feel good at that precise moment.  I have some bands I collect. The Offspring, Finntroll, Rammstein, I hate my holes in those collections. But there's just too much out there to have it all. A good sampler or OST of a game is always a fine addition.

We deem synthesis...incomprehensible.  We were giving a new "life" when the entity known as Legion uploaded the Reaper code.  However, we still lack vital organic necessities to truly "feel" what it is like to be an organic.

Legion overcame this barrier, however, due to his extended time around organics.  He developed "feelings", evolving into an individual entity.  Us, however, will need time, especially since the destruction/disablement of the mass relays.

I heard that they indeed plan some Mass Effect movie, but even if that's true it won't deal with main characters. Think I even heard something about First Contact war or something, which could be interesting.
But again, that was months ago and nothing has appeared since then.

Personally, I think Rachni Wars and Krogan Rebellions wouldn't be bad, and completely without humans, they are overused more than Requiem for a Dream.:P

Now that is a horrible combination of director/producer that was pitched there...

Huh. The First Contact War wouldn't be all that bad to have. But how about some action whilst Shepard was on the rebuild? Vega-style action?

The Old Machine code given to us by Legion hint at possible alternatives to "indoctrination".  However, we have isolated the code so as to prevent the corruption that once had implanted into our systems.

I think most organics deem synthesis incomprehensible. As for what it's like, mostly just squidgy. Download yourself into a Quarians suit sometime and you'll get the idea.

So I was watching the ME2 introduce the voice cast video and Ash/Liz introduces herself as Liz. So now I'm even more confused. Did she just change her name then?

Yeah, chose synthesis, as well...only way not to destroy or enslave the geth that I liberated and that helped Tali's people. I feel deeply for both the Quarians and the Geth. Never wanted to fight smart machines, especially since Cerberus's soldiers had such a nice animation when my mag hit their heads whilst I was cloaked...

You can be around the Quarians that were left on the homeworld. Also, can't Geth use the knowledge of the old machines to build new relays? There were geth on the fleet at Earth. If Earth-Geth and Rannock-Geth built matching Mass Relays? We would all pitch in!
