Nice picture.  Not sure what the book is that Tali has though...

  It's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!

Oh, well...never saw the movie, so it makes sense why I did not identify the book.

Well, read the books or watch the original series. It's a must. However, the geth INSIST that 42 is not the answer to the question of life, the universe and everything...

We still hold true to that notion.

More proof that Tali has excellent taste.

Best way to get a drink from a Krogan - put your fingers down his throat?

Well, it's possible they'll let ash get nuked for dramatic effect. So that way Shepard would be single going in to the sequel. Although I still think they will go with Liara. Hollywood, like Cpt. Kirk does love blue boobs.

Would be a good moment to break yet another convention - and establish the blockbuster alien threesome.

For we both know Liara admires Shepard, but Tali loves him truly.

oooo, that is an interesting point. A romantic subplot to ground the film. The love interest's dramatic death near the end galvanizes the audience against the enemy, while at the same time opening the door for new romance subplots in potential sequels.
Seems like a solid script idea to me^_^

The movie was a big disapointment. Had it's moments but just not a touch on the series, let alone the book.

Can't say I was a fan of the last two books. Apparently Douglas Adams was going to write a new book that was more uplifting... but then he died. :(

I suppose you could say those of us that read all the books are used to painfully depressing endings to a much loved series. Though at least I never found the ending tarnished the great stuff that came before (The first three books are still amongst my favourite of all time).

Really, Bioware/EA, you agreed with this?
Apparently someone wants Bioware buried under a mountain of enraged fans really badly.
And since it's ME1, there can't be any Tali romance unless Legendary decides to completely break the canon, I'm sorry, Knight. :?

I know, but this knight can always dream:wub:

If they were to make one about ME2 after, it likely still wouldn't be Tali. In a game, switching LI's between games is fine (and in my case, was a delight), but in film, I think it'd be seen as a major betrayal.

................ unless maybe Shep was with Ash in the first one, and they follow the story of ME2 really closely, and Ash gets all suspicious and dismissive ......... maybe then he could move on to Tali:?

Hope lives!:D

I bet they will do Liara.
I love Liara to death, but she is BioWare's lap dog. I mean an attractive blue alien? That should appease the masses. :(
Mean while, Tali has chicken feet. Don't get me wrong, I love her chicken feet ...

Never said I was dissatisfied with the animation up to the end...it's a WONDERFUL game till then, the best I EVER played.

By the way, I mentioned "The Truth" rumours before. And before I heared it, I already stated that the endings seemed..."tacked on". Does anybody else have the feeling? The quality of the animation in the end vid wasn't close to the rest, and the whole thing seemed...hasty.

The movie was nice, I saw it more as a loose interpretation, kinda like the LotR movies, but a bit shoddier in quality. Still, nice and fun. The three first books are just ****ing brilliant, and the base of all alien diplomacy.

Delayed release date + awkward, disjointed ending = rush job, in my books.:?

Looking at your spelling, I wonder if I should hold service to you for a while...

Can't see Liara staying on earth. She'd probably go with, and try to find a way to Thessia from there. Garrus is a no-brainer, he'll go with Shepard and Tali anytime. The gang wouldn't be complete without them. Joker would probably volunteer for the helm, together with EDI.

But Garrus, doesnt he have a family to take care of and a Palavan to rebuild? Should maybe be addressed. Liara, she was all broken up about her home planet, right? And what about the Flotilla STUCK ON EARTH?
Stupid endings. Forget I said anything @___@

What you organics call "DNA" we simply call our central code.  We, as nearly full evolved AIs, deem it possible for code to be rewritten to one that has the true feelings of an organic and the capabilities of synthetics.  Shepard-Commander, with his hybrid infrastructure and his ultimate sacrifice, made it possible for every being to possess his abilities.

In the end...we all became Shepard-Commander.  And we, as geth, embrace it.

Shepard had cybrenetic implants, true, but they were not truly part of him. His body could interact with them, use them to their purpose., but for example it could never repair damaged implants like it can with its own body parts.
They are just tools used by the body very subtly.
I believe there can exist hybrids created from both organic and synthetic material (Reapers)
I believe that synthetics can at some point act like organics, have emotions and feelings, desires, but even though the goal is the same, they achieved it by follwing different paths. They way they function, their structure, it's too different.
I support co-existence of organic and synthetic life, but with diversity, not uniformity.
Even Javik admitted that uniformity was Prothean Empire's weakness which Reapers exploited.

I always remember the immortal guy that made his mission insulting everyone in the universe. Brilliant.

Plus Adams had such an ingenious way with words. Even the later books showed that skill off. The only author I've found that could match him in that regards is Raymond Chandler.

The movie had it's moments, but I hated both the Zaphod and the Ford in it.

Ah, his father and sister made it off Palaven, and Garrus would stay side by side with Shepard and Tali anytime, anyway. Plus, maybe find a way to Palaven from Rannock. Still, having such a high ranked official of the Turians on Rannock, together with the greatest hero of mankind, and the hottest hacker of the Quarians, and the bluest booty of the Asari - that alone is nearly a complete council! And a force of innovation and invention able to create new gates.

But in truth the gates were never destroyed, anyway.

If there was one thing they should not ever have even considered the slight possibility of even speculating about making a rush job, it's the ending of the trilogy. Well that and Tali's face reveal anyway.

So maybe "The Truth" theory of the changed ending in the last minute due to serious danger of leak, and creating DLC in April to alter it again, seems valid. Maybe they had to play "we wanted it that way" to prevent the impression of "we were forced to do it" - I would've even PREFERRED another delay, in retrospect. Well, who wouldn't of us wished we had never seen the ending...like the three latest PotC-Movies...

I'm usually optimistic, but the way I see it, they'll go with Ash in ME1 and then Miranda in ME2.
No matter what, I still think it's a bad idea since everyone has their own canon Mass Effect.
I still support Tali in the moive with all my heart though. (Because only my canon ME matter to me :innocent:)

Yup. It's kinda beating a dead horse at this point, this has been said so much, but I think the community prolly would have gladly waited another year if it meant ME3 would be near-the flawless masterpiece it needed to be.
Certainly would have given them the time to actually put Tali's face on her character model, at least:whistle:
