The ambient dialogue between Tali, Ken, Gabby, and Adams regarding the stealth drive and heat emissions was kinda weird. I mean, they have a freaking admiral on board and they talk to her like she's on her pilgrimage. No matter the fact that she served on the Normandy for all three tours. Also, wasn't she supposed to be Ken & Gabby's superior in ME2?

Since when have those two ever acted formally anyway? The pair seeem to be very laid back and informal 99% of the time.

Also, I don't think Tali really wants to be treated like an admiral anyway, as she only seems to mention it when she needs to tell someone what to do. She only ever brings it up about three or four times in the whole game, and when she joins you she says something along the lines of 'I never wanted to be an admiral in the first place'.

On a tali-in-engineering related note, I thought it was funny when Tali tried to use the weapons systems to cool the engine down further and ended up breaking the normandy.  Tali was like, "I'll start repairs..." while Engineer Adams chuckled at her, especially after saying the idea won't work.  Reminds me of a scene in Star Trek: DS9 when Obrien was on the holodeck recreating the Enterprise-A, and when he tried to fix something, ended up cutting out the lights on the ship.

When did that happen? I never saw that scene, or any dialogue between Tali and the engineers; she was only in engineering once and they didn't say anything.

Dunno.  You'd have to visit engineering more often, I suppose.  It was late in the game for me, after I picked up Javik and did a few side-quests.

That MUST be it. Hehe. But surprisingly enough I do actually occasionally hit something! Love a good team, though. You know, the kind that gathers at a strategic point any break, and then advances together?

I guess you need to leave more of the side-quests until later, then. I did most of them as soon as they come up, so I had only two after Tali comes to the Normandy (the fuel reactor and the communications hub, and I did the fuel reactor before the final Rannoch mission so she was still in the war room then). She was only in engineering once after Rannoch, after every subsequent mission she was always somewhere else (e.g. standing at the monument, or drunk in the lounge). As such, I never heard her engineering dialogues. Will have to look out for that next playthrough.

It's bugged. If your VS is Kaidan, you'll never witness these conversations. If Ashley, you'll come across the conversations when she becomes a squadmate after the Udina coup (or something along those lines). Either way, not working as intended.

Kinda/sorta. It was more the physical evidence afterward. Lack of EDI on Joker's arm mainly. I like your ending better, its just that without using headcannon (love that term) I would take the hard literal meaning. Maybe it has something to do with the very abrupt change in flow also. It was like the last bit was written by someone from EA instead of Bioware.

In any case, it was a good indoctrination attempt by Harbinger. Tricky bastard almost had us. Posted Image

Tali will have her beach house before another dime goes from my pocket to any EA/Bioware product. Posted Image

Young Temuera Morrison. As always. Matches best with Sheps German voice. And my name, of course.

Wha?  Talk about a huge programming error...if it's true, then its no wonder these cutscenes didn't make it on youtube.  Too bad my PC is too slow to actually record in-game footage.

Well, its certainly not the original import, thats for sure.  Then again, I like the new shepard; it doesn't look as ugly as the one I made.

As close as possible as I could get to my likeness. A damn fine specimen of the human race, I might add. Damn, I look good saving the galaxy...

Colonist/War Hero. I tried to keep the character as professional and diplomatic as possible, which lead to mostly paragon and neutral choices. That didn't stop me from contributing a lot of snarky renegade responses when I saw fit though, or when I was presented situations where I held a strong opinion.

I actually took the default face. Once I found out I couldn't have long hair I abandoned the "make it look like me" approach, I didn't really care that much anyway as long as he didn't look silly. When I play again (if I play again) I'll probably change it.

What other options did you all pick? I played the same character the whole way through from ME1. Spacer, Ruthless (though he gradually mellowed) and a Vanguard. The class changed radically with each game. In ME1 there is no charge, so it was all about Shotgun damage. In ME2 you can charge, but can't be reckless with it. Then in ME3 they introduced Nova and the ability to travel light to speed up recharge. Being reckless suddenly became a strategy. If I play through again I would change class for sure, I love my shotgun but the ME3 vanguard kinda defeats the purpose of having a team. I doubt I'd start from ME1 though so couldn't change the other options, though I like being a spacer anyway.

Recently I have been considering writing my own version of the ending... but honestly I have never written any fanfiction before nor am I that good of a writer. I do want to write something, but I fear it will not end up being very good. What do you guys think? Should I try anyways even though there is a good chance won't be anygood?

You get less Tali dialogue for picking Kaidan? That's...  definitely not fair.

To my great sadness and embarrassment, it looks like there is a bug here that got introduced just before ship. It looks like the test for "is it time for ambient dialog in engineering" accidentally got switched to "are you good friends with Ashley". How did this bug happen? I have no idea, and need to do some detective work. This doesn't just block Ken and Gabby banter, but I think this blocks some Tali and Garrus banter in engineering too. As it stands now to see that banter, I believe you'll need to get Ashley in your party and take her on missions and/or give Ashley lots of attention by speaking to her and giving her the gift in the hospital. If you have Kaidan in your game, obviously this can't be done, and that sucks.

Though the fix is easy, the difficult part is getting the fix into a patch of some sort. Getting content fixes into patches is much harder than you'd think. It's a giant process. I'll try to get that fix through, but sadly, the odds of getting this type of fix into a patch is very low. It just kills me that so many of the people who care about Ken and Gabby (those of you reading this forum) didn't get to see that content. I tested the heck out of it too for weeks before ship. You just don't now how sorry I am.

Man, I was wondering why I wasn't getting very much dialogue in that area of the ship...:pinched:

Give it a shot. Truthfully, anything will be better than the endings we have now.

Oh, the ending was terribly executed, you'll hear no argument from me there. But if BioWare won't give us a better one (and they still might), I see no reason to assume the worst based on what we're given. Whether indoctrination or something like I wrote, the ending is certainly vague enough to allow for more positive interpretations. I think that was actually their original intent (for people to read their own interpretation into the ending), and it's not a bad idea per se (although not necessarily the best choice for ME even if done better), it was just horribly done.

Same here, but like I said, I expect it's because I did most of the side missions before Tali came on board so she just never had the chance. I do remember getting some Ken/Gabriel interactions in my first playthrough (MaleShep with Ashley surviving) which I didn't get in my second playthrough (FemShep with Kaidan surviving).
