Thats why I choose the tell  Ashley  at the hospital while she  was still on bed rest and could not move...The only thing could do was sit there an accept it. and move on. .. it all went as planed. ;)

I killed Ashley. Not that I didn't like her. Really, she was part of the team. But there were several reasons I chose Kaidan over her. First of all - tactical. Kaidan was with the bomb. The bomb was strategically important, without it, the whole mission fails. I had to ensure it would go off. So I had to turn around and get to Kaidan. That I had no time to extract Ashley anymore - one of the saddest moments. But tactically it was the right decision. Then there was the family background. Ashley was from a military family, and not an only child. She was aching to redeem herself for the deeds of her grandfather - which was weird, since her grandfather didn't do anything wrong in my eyes, but still. That she was honored for the sacrifice most likely helped her remaining family. Kaidan however is an only-child, and has not met anybody. He however is a trained biotic, and an advocate for peace and tolerance. He's better fit to face the challenges between the species, and in my opinion the much better Spectre candidate. However, since the ending eradicates the possibility of co-existence, it's rather futile to think about it.

And it made sure that I took Tali with me on whatever mission I would be on to - since seperation had caused a squad member to die.

I let Kaiden die with the bomb. Kinda went against the Ruthless background, but I felt it was Kaiden or that whole Salarian team plus Ashley. Tactically though I teamed up more with Ashley, because as a Vanguard in ME1 (remember, no charge), you really need that long range support and while I mostly took Garrus, it is nice to have a change now and then. When I took Kaiden (usually for his tech skills), I ended up taking Ashley as well (because Garrus overlapped on the ability to open containers and stuff), so as a result Ashley got much more squad time.

Tali must name the house.

I think the name would be obvious. After all, once a Vas Normandy, always a Vas Normandy.

Oh, no questions there, their brand is tarnished by this. I remember the UK sales charts - Mass Effect 3 dropped from the top after just ONE WEEK. Horrid for an AAA-flagship, and it was overtook by Fifa Street, of all things. The endings controversy has definitely stopped people from buying it, friends don't recommend the series as freely as they did before (I know I don't), fan merchandise sales most likely plummeted, their name is in any games forum and all over Youtube, including the endings so the people can judge by themselves, and even if you don't know the game, you can see how stupid the ending is. Not only a former Bioware designer has judged this a disaster already, any DLC will most likely not be bought by 80 percent of the players, neither the one out there or any other that does not change the ending, since the replay quota of the game has plummeted - one of it's big strengths and reason for DLC and multi-options has been eradicated! They really, really have created a very bad image out of a 99 percent brilliant game, and that - in itself - is some kind of art.

Give the house a name?  I wouldn't.  If Shepard + Tali lived on say, a island or peninsula, I could understand naming that.  But a house?  I've never heard of anyone naming their house before...

Well, I was a tactical fighter - Infiltrator, so to say - so long range was my thing, anyway. Sure, Ashley was basically useless compared to the tank option of Wrex or additional long range support by Garrus, and Kaidan was flatlined by the biotic abilities of Liara, and as a Tech Support there's always Tali, anyway. But Ashley as a fighter-only was of...the least use to me in most situation, but the logical reason for a second team lead. After all, she had experience with it, and would not let a squad die again. And again, my choice to return to the bomb - too important. Would've sacrificed entire second team if necessary. Job needed to be done.

Oh, many houses have names. "Murder home". "Death trap". "Mad's Dungeon". You name it - literally.

I'm giving them a chance to fix this...I will see in  April, if they do not correct this issue in a  manner which is satisfactory...I'm done doing buisness with them. I will  talk about the characters and such one the fourms but I will not buy anymore of their games.

Ultimately, for all their talk of art, their main aim is to make money. So they will be wary about loosing so much support from this. We have to give them a chance and the time to do it properly, but if they do fail I am with you and the others on the boycott. The games industry is so big these days that you can't possibly play everything, that means you can easily boycott a designer without feeling your missing out on anything important. I still have a backlog of games I own that I haven't gotten around to playing. Once I get in to a game, I get in to it in a big way (obsessed is probably the word) and I think most of those that are making a big issue of the ending are similar in that regard. If a company looses it's most dedicated fans, they will suffer.

But as I said, I will give them a chance. BW did so well with the rest of the series, I know they have the talent to fix the ending. The only question is do they have the desire.

Really? It's quite a common practice. At least in the UK (and probably Europe). Don't know about the US. I don't think I've ever lived in a house that didn't have a name (though I have lived in flats without them, naming flats seems redundant). Of course these days it's pretty much only for traditions sake and I would guess that most new houses don't have a name.

I think having tech skills is a big bonus in ME1, gives you a lot more flexibility. With Kaiden dead, I always had to have either Garrus or Tali on my team.

Which, was of course Awesome. Good job they turned out to be the best two characters in the game really and quickly grew to be much more then "characters that open stuff" for me.

Yeah, like the common thief. Hehe. I love how they follow up on the stupid things in the other games. Talking about the "slap omnigel on everything" in ME2, and how that horrible vehicle section was basically **** in ME3...

And how conrad verner accused you of pointing a gun in his face even if you didn't.  Though I thought the mako was ok even though it had a few flaws, I didn't like the vehicle featured in DLC for Mass Effect 2.  Ill take the mako any day, that thing can climmmmmmmb.  I never cared for the Omni-Gel thing, and I thought the hacking process was too easy in Mass Effect 2 once you buy stuff and get the hang of it.

I seriously hope they patch up the fix for missing dialog if Ashley is not your friend in ME3.  I can understand if its something minor like for Conrad Verner, but this?  Way too much is missing out to be skipped over.

I do love a game that can poke fun at itself. Conrad Verner had some of the best lines outside of Shepards Omnigel one. The "poke around in crates for extra credits" in ME2 and the whole rant about Thermal Clips in ME3. classic.

That line "I appologise if I ever accused you of putting a gun in my face when you didn't". :D

I didn't mind the Mako, it was just the endless roaming of planets to find things that didn't seem to have any real importance (at least some of it got worked into ME3 as an war assets). The Firewalker missions in ME2 seemed pointless. Did they have any impact on ME3? I don't recall it if it did.

Yeah, but as we know now, the war assets don't matter, so skip it.

Tali is the best find. And the only one that matters despite the ending.

I have no clue if the prothean artifact recovered in ME2 had any impact.  I think I would know by now, because Javik would have eventually discovered it and made a comment about it.  I doubt it'll matter, the developers may have forgotten about it.

The one thing I liked about the Mako was I was on this one planet full of monkeys, then I aimed the cannon at one of the hives, right-clicked, and blew up one of the hives.  The best part was the party's reaction; Wrex was like, "Ha ha, nice!" while Tali expressed concern about blowing up animals.  I should have blown up more, just to make her panic.  Alas, I am not that cruel...

This is why i want to go back and play through all the game again, I missed a lot of stuff. I pretty much went through ME1 pretty fast, kinda focused on main storyline, skipping some side missions.
After reading about so many different situations where Tali makes comments on stuff and different dialouge, I want to go back through ME1 and ME2 and complete everything possible. It would also be nice to learn more about the ME story in general.
I want to so badly, but the endings... they almost make it impossible.

So, the new rule on Omega is now, "Don't **** with Tali?"

No problem, that's a rule I'd be happy to obliege to.
