I think if you ask me, their life-span might be braught up if you made peace with the geth.
As for life-span of Shepard and Tali; I can't even make a rough guess. On one hand, Shepard has been brutally injured, physically and mentally many times. Has taken lots of abuse. May have exceptionally shortened life-span. On the other hand, Tali'Zorah Vas Normandy is fragile, both physically and mentally, and while she has sustained plenty of physical damage, may have long-term effects. Who knows? Best case senario: They die together.

I don't actually know Shep's age Doc so I'll take your word on it. I just know that a man ranked "Commander" in the modern US military is a career soldier who's been doing the job for in and around 15 years + 4 years of college. *shrug* obviously I can't apply the same standards to the ME universe but you use what you know.
Hmmm there's a slightly off topic subject that I should put up as a thread else where, what kind of degree does Shepherd have?
Shepard is 31 as of Mass Effect two.
That always bugged me as a Marine, wtf is a Gunnery Chief? Pick one rank system and go with it darn it! lol however you are incorrect. Assuming Ashley Williams enlisted immediately at the age of 17 she could concievably hit the rank of E-7 (Gunnery Sergeant) in that time frame. I've met two and heard of several more 9 year Gunnys and 7-8 year Staff Sergeants. They have to hit every meritorious promotion they can and generally be perfect Marines but it has happened. If it can happen in the Corps which is notoriously slow to promote I'm sure it can and does happen in our sister branches as well.
Wouldn't know, scientific arm of STG. Hearsay, shouldn't have used.

That with the two years dead? Also probably helps that Shep is considered exceptional as well by that point. In my case a war hero. Looking at modern human society. Older men with younger women is fairly common anyway.

Change date system or use previous terminology.
Humans haven't quite accepted the Galactic Standard timeline set by the forming of the Council.

Idunno about that. Grunt, a krogan who is considered to be exceptionally tough, mentions quarians being tougher or more durable than turians, humans, asari and salarians if I recall correctly.

After seeing the things everyone's (on the Normandy "combat" crew, IE you and your party) have seen over the course of the three games, not counting the deaths of Tali's own units when she's not a hardened soldier or Marine like say Garrus, yeah all of that adds up to a fair amount of psychological trauma. I don't think that would really effect life span however...

This is most likely. As much as I would love to see Shepard and Tali as canon, Bioware and Hollywood would be wise to avoid the argument entirely.

The Mask/Helmet problem seems to be the hardest part from my research, buying a set of football shoulder pads neatly solves the issue of creating the "exoskeleton" of Shephard or any one else's armors from scratch. Then it's just a matter of trimming up and painting a set of good looking shin guards, some strap on trim for boots, the rest of the chest, back and forearms.... okay so even with out the helmet it's not simple at all, the helmet for a Shep or a Tali remains the rough part, pre-purchaceable full face sealing masks (ala Tali's or the enviromasks used in the film avatar) which would make building a quarian helmet a wee dram easier just don't exist commonly on the market, and the one or two I've found have been prohibitively expensive.

The mind can have a amazing effect on the body. It can exceed it's own limits...and do a variety of things if pressured enough. A mind in a good state should increase the life span of one's body, while a mind in a bad state should decrease it. Not proven, but theoretical.
Himmelstor wrote...

I probably didn't word it right in my sentence, but I didn't mention that tali had mental damage. Mentally, I believe she is fine...for the moment. However, while I understand why the quarians hate the fragile stereotype, there is at least some truth to it. It is easy to hurt Tali'Zorah's feelings and cause serious damage; I won't even begin to list it because I would rather turn a M-3 Predator on myself than seriously consider hurting Tali, but I will say that if you do it wrong, Tali may permanently scorn you or even commit suicide. Plus, she can't live without her suit. She might be a bit more durable, but that is canceled out to some degree by her weakened immune system. Fortunately, I made peace with the geth, so her immune system will recover faster than normal and she will regain her quarian toughness.
