I believe Doc's just holding the line. Refusing to give up on an ending change. I know I am.

true, but we got the co-founder making a statement. At the very least it shows we are having an effect.
We proved it before in ME2 with the inclusion of Tali romance!
edit: ^those pictures look professionally done. The amount of detail put in the costume and edited effects is stunning, to say the least.

The thing I don't understand is how the development team could be surprised at how the fans would react. It ends up with us asking more questions instead of feeling closure. I know everyone has seen all the common questions such as:
Why is my squad in the Normandy when they were all on Earth with me?
Why is my LI coming out of the Normandy when (s)he was literally with me in the run towards the Conduit?
Why is Joker running from the relay explosion and not helping the fleets fight?
Etc. It just doesn't add up. I'm not expecting a sunshine and rainbows happy ending, but at least answer some of the questions that yet linger.
My two cents.

Adding a sexy character already in the first game is one thing. Destroying their entire end plot because it's a waste of time and artistically narrowly above painting with feces is another. When game developers start calling themselves artists, they get dangerous. It's like sandwich artists - it's an undeserved name.

But here's something that really struck me as strange: Why did Bioware decide that Shepard had to go up to the Citadel alone?
I think, like I did, most people knew that they were heading out on the final mission. And, I think like most people here, I brought Tali with me because I wanted her by my side at the end. So why would they have your squadmates magically teleport back to the Normandy and have Shep go it alone? I mean, I picked my squad for a reason. As bad as the ending was, having Tali there, propping Shepard up as they hobbled through the corridors, some dramatic or intimate conversations along the way, would have made it at least a little more palatable.
It just seems like such a great opportunity, completely overlooked<_<

Much appreciated, main concern of any and all the critics that actually thought about what they criticize. We don't aim for blue babies, purple babies or human-krogan babies. We got that covered. What we want is an ending that actually makes sense and not disregard the complete development and build-up as totally irrelevant.

Hell, willing to call most of Mass Effect 3 art.
Ending turned them from artists into liars, idiots, lazy.
Term 'artist' goes to head, believe can do no wrong.
Art made and large segment agrees is good, at least impressive.
"Art" applied after, not before.

Sure, it was very, very artistic. But! It was made to make money, and that's the main concern of every game.
And in that way, Mass Effect 3 has fallen short of its potential due to the ending. So, strangely, painting a black gross all over Van Gogh's sunflowers does not increase its value.

It can be compared to paying an artist to paint a mural. Sure, what the artist creates is "art", but you pay him to create what you wanted based on your expectations.
Same goes for video games.

Lol I enjoyed that comic.
and you are 100% correct. As I've seen in a lot of other threads, it's not that we didn't get the ending we want, it's that the lack of closure actually hurts.
It hurts me to not know what happens to the characters I've grown to really care about and love when Bioware even promised that all questions would be answered during the development of ME3. It just hurts.

No. Smearing away logic, reason, continuity is negation of art if are concerned with story. Considering everything art results in justification of this.TrueMadayar wrote...

Well, I'm gonna destroy the Reapers after all, in the end. It seems that's the ending, since I live. And that, seeing the volume of the explosion, is impossible. So, maybe they tag on the ending after that. A brestplate with drawing breath, however, is no ending. It's a cliffhanger. We didn't want that. We wanted an ending.
Anyway, take care, Doc. Halt die Linie, and so on. Weicht keinen Schritt zurück! The best German version would be "Haltet die Stellung" - hold the position.
