Still. I don't want the Geth destroyed. And I just love EDI, no way I would hinder her from hanging with Joker for the rest of his life.

In my version of the post-ending, EDI was severely damaged, but Tali managed to fix her. Many geth were destroyed, but some managed to survive.

And the Crucible science team figures out a way to rebuild the relays. It takes nearly a decade, but Shepard and Tali get their house on Rannoch.

I really want to write a short story on this version of the ending. Damn real life and work and stuff!

I had a little Mass Effect dream last night.

I remember a little about what happened. I think I was Shepard and was running around with Tali and Garrus on some kind of mission in some ruins or something.
Tali was somehow using a sword as a weapon. That was pretty cool though.
But suddenly the whole ground started to collapse (like a sink hole)
Luckily I (Shepard), Garrus and Tali managed to get to the side and avoid falling down into the sink hole.
I think the dream ended with Tali being really upset (it sounded like she was almost crying) by this event while Shepard tried to comfort her.
I dunno what happened after because I woke up afterwards.

Actually, I'd prefer the alternate ending where Shepard denies the Hitler-AI.

But we'll see. And it's so strange, the war cries of the Mancers... "Built Tali a house on Rannoch" is one, "I want my blue babies" is another, it's so very, very strange. Indigenous Quarian Music.

Shepard: Wouldn't it be crazy if the Catalyst would turn out to be some AI kid, and it would say "Shepard, you have to destroy all technology, control the reapers or make us all terminators", and I would say "sure" and killed myself and made all Mass Relays explode? But somehow you guys were on the Normandy and got out in time, to be stranded on some jungle planet?

Tali: That is ridiculous.

Garrus: Yeah, that makes no sense.

Actually...it's more likely that they will resolve the cliffhanger they created in the red ending.

Still. I don't want the Geth destroyed. And I just love EDI, no way I would hinder her from hanging with Joker for the rest of his life.

So that ending better NOT DESTROY ALL synthetic life. I've been on good terms with my toaster for the most time.

Also, can you get me some Superglue Mass Relay Strength?

Or the fourth option is to shoot yourself in the head, then the mass relays fire rainbows....

I wonder how that was possible, I mean, rainbows coming from my death...but then again, this is the ME3 ending, we don't have to explain anything, it's art!

The endings to Mass Effect are... well, I will put them like this: Think of Da Vinci putting the final touches on his Mona Lisa, then, out of the blue, he grabs a can of red, green and blue paint an goes, "LOOOOOOOOOOOOL ART!" and splashes them onto the canvas and calls it a day.

Tali's scense though, the writing was glorious on them. Mr. Weekes did a great job on her.

Yeah, I wrote in the Endings thread, that it was like only the smile was missing, and he took paintthinner, wiped the canvas clean, and drew a crooked smiley face instead, whilst we watched.

One thing I have to say: The Music in the original Mass Effect is amazing. In particular, I think the love theme from Mass Effect 1 was amazing, I could use that music to recall some of the more pleasent memories of Tali, such as her snuggling up in bed, us kissing, or playing handsies.

However, I think if anything, From the Wreckage has my #1 spot, simply because it helps invoke the emotion in the ending. I remember having Tali & Wrex on my end playthrough, and after being found, I was like, "Oh good, Tali and Wrex are alive, now where's Shepard? Shepard?? SHEPARD!?" and for one, brief moment, I was choking with tears as I seriously thought Shepard had died. And the look Tali gave...she was worried too. Worried that all of her feelings for him were for naught. Then, out of the ashes, Shepard arose, and my heart jumped when I saw that. I never, ever thought I would have this much emotion for a character until I played this game. And to top it off, my Shepard wore what looked like iron man armor, making it look line a scene from a good iron man movie.

I think that for the new ending, they should have a opportunity to do this again. The music would be a great fit if there's a final battle, but should be slightly remixed should Shepard (And possibly his teammates) not survive. I want a chance to feel that emotion again like I did in Mass Effect, but with Tali + friends there truly wondering if I survived.  I just wish this nightmare of a ending we have right now would end...

What you do if some one was tying to kill you?  sit there and let them..

In ME1, Tali presented her BIASED view.  She told you what she had been taught.
In ME3.  Legion presented its BIASED view.  It showed you only what it wanted you to see.

They were both wrong.
Chosing one over the other is incredibly stupid and near sighted.

It's a good point, and I was glad I was able to broker peace in my game. Still, if denied the option, I'd be hard pressed NOT to take the side of the Quarians. Doom an entire organic race to extinction because of the sins of their ancestors? Insanity. Everything about them, their culture, and language destroyed even if you could find some three-fingered arm floating in space and clone them back into existence. Even Tali being Shep's LI is ancillary in this issue.

My first play through I foolishly listened to the admiral and saved his team instead.

You can imagine my horror when I let the Geth upload the data. I sat there for 5 minutes contemplating re-doing the entire mission.

I have always liked Tali and the Quarians, but have also always considered the Geth's behaviour to be entirely their fault. It was fun having my Shepard yell at them for being so stupid with their insistence on choosing the worst possible moment to start their war.

I enjoyed yelling at the admirals, and punching one of them.  I wish I would have heard Tali say for once, "I believe you enjoyed that, Shepard." whenever he yells or punches one of them.  I chose to renegade warn the fleet because I have a feeling they wouldn't listen to me if I go paragon.  Plus, I had this strange feeling that, during the whole game, my paragon wouldn't work because it was blurry instead of the clear renegade option.  I thought it was too easy to have paragon and renegade options available, because I never missed one.

I wouldn't say it's their fault, it's the mistakes of their ancestors. They attacked the Geth in the first place because they feared that after gaining sentience AI would logically make the decision that their creators were irrelevant. It's a very common theme, especially ingrained in the minds of those of us who saw the first two Terminator films when they were released.

As for the current timeline, none of the Quarians remember the exact events surrounding the fall of Rannoch (as told by Legion), they just know that the geth rebelled and forced them into exile. None of them have contact with the Geth on a diplomatic basis like Shepard does, either, so they believe that the Geth would still destroy them first given the opportunity.

See, the quarians should've listend ot Asimov, not Terminator. "There is no right to deny freedom to any object with a mind advanced enough to grasp the concept and desire the state."

Too bad Asimov was born ~20 years after the Geth forced them off Rannoch, on the other side of the galaxy.

*cleans the glasses* Been thinking about the indoctrination theory over and over. Will of course do the ending again, once the DLC to it is released. I'm very certain it will come, they always said "this isn't the last you'll hear from Shepard". And I know they'll be forced to make a new ending or extended ending DLC, for any in-game DLC before the ending will not sell at all. As it is I believe sales will go down, anyway.

Would Tali upgrade her drones with Geth tech?

We have already adapted most Creator technology with Geth modifications.  However, we still require the help of a turian organic to correctly calibrate targeting capabilities.
